View 1 Repliesmy cd drive icon was showing and working then stopped showing up. I did as much research as I could and purchased AVG driver updater and it worked for a few days and won't work again.
View 1 RepliesThe mouse keeps showing busy, loading blue circle symbol when windows is not really busy. I mean i didn't doing anything but this sysmbol keep coming.
View 1 RepliesI had an issue with Firefox where if I clicked the Taskbar icon, the program would not show on the desktop. HOWEVER, if you hover over the icon, it showed what it would look like if it were expanded. I restarted it in safe mode and got it to work again.
Just now WORD is doing the same thing. I had 3 WORD windows open and then they stopped showing at some point. However, they appear if I hover over the icon (set to "always combine, hide labels" in taskbar). I can see that they are in the same state that I left them, but they won't show on the desktop if I click them.
So right now, WORD won't open at all, even though the icon thinks it is open. This is really a problem since I need to finish some work with WORD ASAP.
I am unable to access the windows store but i can connect to the internet with nearly everything else...
Not a massive issue as I don't use the store much but it is quite annoying as it only happens sometimes.
I believe all my drivers are up to date... the MOBO is a asus b85m-itx..
I have just updated Windows 10 to Version 1501. I had to install Windows 10 from the Microsoft Update site, as the auto Update stalled 3 times at 91% .
Since then, when I open Mail from the Start Screen, although it opens OK , and there is a white horizontal line on the task bar, the Mail Icon is not there.
If I hold the cursor over the area where the icon should be, the small display comes up and I can click and open it from there OK, just the icon is missing.
I just purchased a Samsung 850 Evo SSD, and after connecting it up, my new SSD as well as my older WD Green HDD are not showing up anywhere in Windows. I can't seem to find them in Device Manager or Disk Management. They both do, however, pop up in the BIOS. The motherboard is an Asrock b85m pro4 if that matters.. I'm not really sure how to troubleshoot this issue. I have an 840 Evo as my boot driving which is starting Windows up just fine.
View 1 RepliesNot sure if you will understand my problem but I tried to search it everywhere but was not able to actually find the correct searching criteria so I was not able to fix my problem. My laptop has win 10 and it was always in English. All my windows used to have the menus (file, edit, view...etc.) on the left and the (X) to close the window on the right. for all my windows like control panel and my computer. But now they are reversed (X) on the left and menus are on the right.
View 5 RepliesSo this is really hard to explain so maybe my image will clear any confusions. Btw when Im talking about windows Im not talking about the OS Im talking about the applications like Google Chrome window, file explorer window, etc. So my problem is when I move a window from one place to another (like in the image) it only shows the outline. Before it didnt do that. Maybe I touched something and now I dont how to change it.

When I start some programs the program will start up normal, It shows up as running in the task bar I can even alt-tab and see the running program but I cant see the program on my desktop in order to interact with it. I have tried cascading all my windows it still will not show up. Ive tried right clicking the program on the task bar and selecting "move" that does not work. This only started when I installed windows 10. Some of the programs that wont show up are.

View 2 Repliesi got my new Benq 2411z and its really nice, configured everything. But my problem is the following:
The monitor does not show the windows startup anymore, so i cannot see windows loading and cant access bios menu at start.
Somehow in device manager there is a non-pnp monitor listed which is listed as standard, if i uninstall or deactivate it, it does not affect my problem and its back after restart.
Furthermore i cant disconnect this non existing monitor via windows control panel.
I need to set the benq monitor (shown as monitor 2) as main monitor in windows 10 settings, but it does not change anything about my problem with the start up.
When i start the computer the displays says: "no device found"
When the computer booted and is finally on desktop it says: "input: dvi" and the desktop shows
Moreover my CCleaner says i have "microsoft basic display driver", but i have got a gtx980..
I have installed all updates on my windows 8.1 but I still don't see the little reserve windows 10 button on the end of my taskbar, how I can get it so I can reserve windows 10...
View 1 RepliesTried, Play > Lyrics, captions, and subtitles > On if available. No luck.

I can't make it Windows 10....
View 6 RepliesI'm having trouble with USB devices not showing up in windows explorer. I put in a thumb drive with data on it, but it's not in win explorer. I went to device manager and found the TD under disk drives. Also my external 3T G: disk drive is there. The thing is that my G: drive shows up twice in win explorer, once as a disk drive and the other as an expansion drive. I still can't see the TD. So how can I look at the drive or do anything with it. The light on it is on and the computer see's it, but no way to access it. I have the latest windows updates. I have all usb and hid unchecked for the computer to put them to sleep if not used, but that doesn't work.
View 9 RepliesI can't update to Windows, I got to 97% and then it failed, got a pic showing 96%.
View 3 RepliesI want to reserve a Windows 10 copy but I dont have W10 icon.
I tried to update windows but some updates failed.
I have Windows 7 Ultimate

Every time I open the Live Mail, the Logon box comes asking for my password. It does not mark the Remember me and log on automatic. The problem started for about 14 days ago.
View 5 RepliesI have a Lenovo Thinkcentre preloaded with Windows 10 Pro. Sometimes when I go to File Explorer and click on Network it shows something called "Ralink Linux Client" connected to my home network. When I select its properties the only information I get is it's MAC address. But the funny thing is when I check my router's list of connected devices the Ralink Linux Client doesn't show up on my router's list even though it shows up on Network on my computer. I am using a Buffalo WHR-300HP router. I also have a Thinkpad notebook computer running Windows 7 Pro on my home network and this phantom device never shows up on Network on the Thinkpad. This Ralink Linux Client comes and goes on my Thinkcentre showing up sometimes but not all the time.
I tried researching this on the Web and apparently others have had this problem too both with Windows 7 and Windows 8. But I am reading conflicting information about what might be going on. One forum poster suggested that this means that the router connected to the network is picking up another router within range. Someone else suggested that this is actually something to do with the local router's internal components.
edit - My Thinkcentre is connected to my router via Ethernet. My Thinkpad is connected wirelessly.
I am using a Dell Venue 8 Pro with Windows 10 installed. Everytime after Windows Update reboot, the touch keyboard will not be shown on the Logon Screen. I have to use image password to login, and it will resume normal until the next time another Windows Updates are installed.
View 1 RepliesMy update is stuck on the Updating Windows screen with the circle showing 0%. What do I do?
View 2 RepliesI freely admit that, in the greater scheme of crashes, re-installs and general weirdness that has been my Win10 experience to date, this is a very tiny thing. But it's annoying me. I'm using CSR bluetooth stack 2.1.63. First time I installed it, it worked perfectly. Now I'm on a more successful rebuild, I cannot get the correct Bluetooth icon in the task bubble! It's always grayed out (and even this was a challenge; I had no icon until I re-did the driver installation twice.)
It struck me that it might not be too hard to either change Windows' path to the icon or replace the grey one with blue. If only I knew where to look. What do you think?
I don't have a pirated version of windows... i have a legit copy of windows 8.1 ...
View 1 RepliesAfter I did a free upgrade from 7 to 10 on visiting Control PanelAll Control Panel ItemsSystem I used to see Under Windows activation at the bottom not only that Windows is activated but also an Icon confirming that the Windows was genuine.
Now for some mysterious reason the genuineness Icon has disappeared. I wonder why this has happened.
