I'm on build 10130, can't find RTM build through WU. Can't update from media creation tool's upgrade now function. Can't update from ISO because it says product key is invalid even though i used the command prompt to find original product key.
After the windows 10 upgrade, usb ports are not working. System detects a device. I can see the device in device manager, but no icons are displayed in file explorer. I cannot open any of the external usb storage device or print from a printer connected via usb port.
I upgraded from W8 to W10. I have Acer V17. For few weeks, everything seemed to be ok... And then, one week ago, I restarted my computer, and I think I saw some actualisation being installed (I thought I turned them off, but I probably did not...). Since that moment I dont have WIFI. And I mean no WIFI at all - my network center says, there are no WIFI networks to connect to.
But that is not true, because on my phone and other devices, there are WIFI networks. I tried to google the answer and tried few things, but nothing works. In Device manager, my WIFI adapter (Qualcom Atheros) ha yesllow exclamation mark, but when i try to update the drivers, it says, they are up to date... but the exclamation mark is still there, an I have no connection. I am completely hopeless, because I need WIFI for my job. I really hate the moment I decided to upgrade this system.
I just wiped my computer and i installed windows 8.1. The internet was working all fine until i upgraded to windows 10. Now it says that "internet protocols are missing on this computer". I know for a fact this has to do with software brcasue my betwork adapter was completely fine until a windows 10 upgrade. How do i fix this. I uninstalled the adapter and restarted and still nothing. Sometimes my internet will start up again and then it will magically turn off again.
I have 8 NAS drives on my network that is attached to my computer. Prior to upgrade to Windows 10 - from Windows 7 , I could go to file explorer and then search all the NAS drives for the info that I needed.
In Windows 10, I can see on the NAS drives under This PC but when I try to do a search, File Explorer will say working on it and it will never complete - it stops responding. Windows 10 is the latest version(november 2015).
After doing a clean installation i just realized that both my usb ports and my bluetooth aren't working. I have tried downloading software to download those drivers but yet still not is still not working. I have updated my laptop through windows updates but still both aren't working.
I seem to be having issues with my webcams. Every time I plug one into a USB port I receive a "USB Device Not Recognized" notice. I have uninstalled and installed the driver many times and restarted the computer. I have also tried an older LifeCam VX1000 with the same results.
I have just upgrade from windows 8.1 to windows 10. I have got a problem with my laptop the touchpad has stop working, how to get the touchpad working again?? I can get as it worked before I upgrade to windows 10.
My father upgraded his Acer Aspire laptop to Windows 10 last week and now his login password is not working. I don't know if he had to put in a password to do the upgrade or if he miss-typed it. How to reset it or find the one he needs?
I had added 4GB ram to my acer 5742 laptop and now it has 6gb of ram. When I added ram windows 8.1 was installed. After than when ever I boot my laptop it just keeps restarting until I boot from HDD. When I was installing windows 10 from ISO file making USB bootable it just keep restarting every time I boot from USB and when switched off the new ram it start booting from USB and installed windows 10 now when I put back its new ram of 4gb it don't boot even from the hard drive.
Since the upgrade to Windows 10, my main monitor, a DVI-Dual Link monitor, has stopped working after posting. I Have 2 other monitors, one DisplayPort, one HDMI, both working. I can use my dvi monitor, if it is the only monitor plugged in, to use the BIOS, but after Windows Loads, the display goes black, and "No Signal" is displayed. Also, It is not the monitor because I could use the HDMI with the monitor for it to work, but to get the 144hz I need to use dvi-D
I have tried: -Uninstalling all Video Drivers -Uninstalling CCC -Reinstalling CCC -Refreshing Windows

WEBCAM NOT WORKING. I have a Toshiba DX730 All-in-One desktop PC running Windows 10. Since I upgraded to Windows 10 my integrated webcam has not worked. I have unsuccessfully tried the following:-
1. Checked the BIOS to ensure the webcam is enabled - it is.
2. Uninstalled/installed the appropriate drivers from Toshiba Support numerous times, including after a clean boot.
3. Uninstalled the hardware from Device Manager numerous times. An interesting point here is that the webcam does not appear in Device Manager under Imaging Devices, but is shown under Other Devices as USB 2.0 Camera, next to which is the dreaded yellow exclamation mark. Right clicking this and selecting Properties always shows that no driver is installed. I've run Driver Update and pointed it to the appropriate folder, but Windows always fails to find the driver.
4. Uninstalled Skype, just in case it was causing a conflict.
5. Run the software in compatibility mode.
None of this has worked!! When I open the Camera app the following error message appears "Something went wrong. Make sure your camera is connected and not being used by another app". Skype cannot detect a webcam.
Was not working straight after upgrade, but I noticed it worked after doing a Vaio system check. Now it's gone again. Don't fancy doing a system test everytime I want it to work and automatic update driver does nothing.
Searches on microsoft site generally brings up issue with same error that are external plugged in devices. This is the internal cam in my Sony Vaio.
I upgraded to Windows 10 the other week. It continually has the mouse "Working in Background" (normal mouse with circle beside), which causes problems when attempting to access menus (closes them after half a second) or drop down lists. I've tried disabling everything I can think of, updated all the drivers I can spot, and killed every process I can find but no luck.
I've seen the first thing that people ask for in these cases is the list of processes which are running.
Windows Explorer 8.6% Google Chrome 5.7% (Still flashes when chrome killed) Google Chrome 5.0% Task Manager 4.2% Desktop Window Manager 2.9% Service Host:Remote Procedure Call (2) 1.8%
i am running a Samsung NP940XG3-K03US. I just upgraded to Windows 10 and my keyboard and touch pad are not working. I have tried windows update, intel update, samsung update tools and nothing has worked.
I have not been able to share my ethernet through my laptop since the time I upgraded to windows 10. what is wrong? when i try using connectify me it shows ap mode not supported?
Some weeks ago I upgraded my son's Zenbook. Initially it seemed to work fine. So I did a clean install. I can vaguely remember an odd miss start-up after the clean install. It seemed to work allright after that. Anyway my son skyped a couple of weeks ago to say it isn't working. Generally speaking, can I fresh install the original W7, it was home premium. I haven't a disk and wonder if there are any ISO's available at MS for download?
I upgraded my Gateway NV570P laptop. As soon as the upgrade finished, the scrolling on my touch pad no longer worked. I checked the settings, and it is still set properly for the scrolling to work. I tried upgrading the drivers, but Gateway only has touchpad driver updates for Windows 8 not Windows 10 - I tried installing those updates anyway, but it didn't fix the problem.
Had a customer present their laptop for repair following Windows 10 upgrade, so wanted to post the solution here.
The device, a Toshiba Satelite Pro Touchpad had an issue where it appeared to hang on startup following upgrade to Windows 10. Investigation revealed that the issue was actually the Touchpad was becoming disabled due to a problem with the ELAN driver that Windows 10 had installed. I wound the driver back and everything was fine, then Windows 10 decided it had a better version of the driver and installed the bad one again. Solution was to wind back the driver again from 15.8.x.x to 13.8.x.x and disable automatic update of drivers to stop it being replaced again.
Clearly it is not ideal to disable the driver update capability, however if there are not sufficient checks and balances to ensure that the right driver is being installed it is going to create more problems that it is worth.
Microsoft Suggestion: It may be an idea to allow disabling driver update for individual driver basis.
About 2 weeks ago I was upgrading Windows from 7 to 10. wehn at about 35% through there was a power outage and all power was lost.
When the power came back on, I switched my computer on and the screen was blank, power was getting to the screen, it came up with the ACER brand name and then said 'signal lost' and turned off.
The computer does something, but I'm not sure what as I cant see anythign on the screen, I connected 2 different monitors to get the same response.
What can I do to get the computer working properly, I'm not sure if the upgrade was sucessful or not and need to get information from the the PC.
what I can do to get the use of the computer back again without deleting all the data on it, or how I can transfer the files to another PC.
I installed the Windows 10 update on two Lenovo Lap top computers. One is an IdealPad, the other a Think Pad Edge.
Within a couple of days the Google Chrome I had installed on both computers slowed to a crawl when trying to open. It can take as much as 45 minutes to open. Once it does, I can use it with ease.
I've uninstalled Chrome and re-installed it several times on both computers. Even installing it now takes over an hour if it downloads at all.
Ran the troubleshooting option in Chrome and it says it is incompatible. Because Chromes trouble shooter doesn't offer the option of running it for the Windows 10 update I tried running it with both OS of Windows 7, which is what the Windows 10 update replaced and the Windows 8 OS as I read somewhere that the 10 version was close to that.
Capacitive buttons on my lumia 720 doesn't respond after upgrade to windows 10 latest build. Every functionality was fine with 8.1. Not sure how to get over this issue.
Update - Reverted back to 8.1 and the issue is gone.
Just upgraded to Win 10 this morning, everything was smooth except for one thing: my Logitech Bluetooth keyboard and mouse stopped working. Looks like there's an error with the Broadcom Bluetooth USB driver, which is already the latest and greatest according to Windows, which obviously it ain't. Where to get working drivers? Surprisingly there's nothing about Windows 10 on Broadcom's site??
