Ever since I upgraded to Windows 10 I get this issue where my computer forgets/resets the Input Language Hotkey for English. I used to set it as Ctrl + Shift + 1. But whenever I restart the computer, the hotkey goes back to blank/empty/nothing. I have manually set it in advanced settings several times already and it simply doesn't save it. Never had this problem in all the previous Windows I used (XP, 7, 8 etc).

View 2 RepliesWhen I change the input language, it is changed for the whole system, i.e. all apps, Office, browsers, etc. In Windows 7 it used to change only for the specific app which is active on the display, i.e. the language for the rest remained the same. Is there a way for Windows 10 to behave like Windows 7 in this respect?
View 2 RepliesI've got the option to select put language again after the last update. I usually delete them all except UK, and the control panel only shows UK as installed. But the "ENG" option beside the clock lists UK and US options.
How do I get rid of the US option? and how to get rid of the language option "ENG" from the task bar?
I'm using 2 languages to type. Mostly English but when chatting to my parents in Skype for example, I switch to Bulgarian (Cyrillic Alphabet) keyboard input.
Back in Windows 7 if I was to open an application (Skype for example) and switch to Bulgarian keyboard I could type in Bulgarian, but if I was to open a web browser for example, thus minimizing Skype, I would continue to type in English without the need to switch between languages. Simply put Windows 7 would remember what language input I have switched to in a certain application and would automatically switch to it.
Now since installing Windows 10 every time I switch to Bulgarian, the input for every single application changes to Bulgarian, and if I was to switch back to English then they all change to English input.
So... is there an option somewhere to prevent this from happening?

Why there are two languages, hence the icon, if in control panel there is only one? I don't need changing language nor switching input method so I would like to remove that icon.

I've been using Line In to listen to my game console audio but sometimes I need to adjust the volume, and I'd rather have a key to do it.
I downloaded the Win10 Home single language ISO for a clean install on a new build PC and skipped the activation step during install. Now I need to activate. If I purchase a copy of Windows 10 Home in store or digitally, will I be able to use the product key in my current install without need to re-install?
View 7 RepliesI have a problem with a new Dell XPS 13 I bought in China. It apparently does not allow language packs, and I have a really hard time understanding most of the words. I tried returning the laptop and buying back in the USA, but the store didn't accept returns. Now I'm stuck with a basically useless computer that I bought for no reason and I need to install English onto the computer. Any ways I can do this?
View 1 RepliesI upgraded to Windows 10 everything seems to run fine but system will not restart from the restart selection on the start menu. Windows update will not reboot automatically either. System looks like it is going to reboot, everything shuts down but as system trys to restart everything freezes. Only way around it is to do a hard shutdown by holding the power button. Updated graphics card,hard drive and bios but still no luck.

However, when I restart and the computer comes back up, the same message appears and the installation does not progress. When I go to check Windows updates in the control panel, it says it can't check for updates because another installation is in progress. I have restarted the machine multiple times with no progress - can't go forward, can't go back.

View 1 Replieslately I have a really weird bug. Windows 10 randomly adds US English to my keyboard inputs. But when I go into the language input menu, US english is not there. The screenshot below will show you exactly what I mean, and this is really annoying, cause I am living in UK and I want to use the UK layout not the US.
View 9 RepliesI just bought this computer a few weeks ago and this problem has been persistent since I've gotten it. sometimes when I login, the screen is black or partially black, the rectangle for my pin is still visible however. My screen is touchscreen. I can "erase" the black with my finger and the normal login screen appear underneath. Inputting my pin is no problem and after login I don't see this problem anywhere else.
View 5 RepliesIn Windows 7 and 8, when I saved an Excel input.csv file to a master.csv file, it would just save.
Now in Windows 10, the Excel file opens up and has to be saved manually (file save as...).
Is there a way to get it to just save as it did in Windows 7 and 8, as opposed to having the file open up like that?
FILE name form shows up as (changed from real file name) = FIL#####,CHK Adobe Reader will not read it.
View 5 RepliesA friend of mine upgraded to W10 this afternoon after being on W7 Ultimate. Everything seemed okay until he went to change his monitor resolution. It isn't listed under the resolution settings in the control panel. His monitor's native is 1366x768, but even when selecting 1360x768, it says that his input is not supported.
This is strange considering it worked just fine when on Windows 7. My only thought is that his GPU is quite old - It's a ATI Radeon HD 4600 Series, and the monitor is an Acer X193HQ. He doesn't know an awful lot about hardware, but I believe he's using a DVI cable from the PO.
typing or any form of keyboard inputs work fine for about 5 seconds. After that it lags for about a second, then catches up afterwords.
View 1 RepliesMy audio jack is not working. I have tried reinstalling the driver and nothing. My laptop's speakers stop working when I connect my headphones, but no sound comes out. They are not detected in the Playback Devices and the Sound Mixer does not pick them up. The Realtek audio manager can, although not by default, detect when my headphones connect, but again, no sound comes out. I have tried several jacks and none works.

View 2 RepliesSince today morning I am not able to login to my Win10 PC. It starts normal until the lock Screen appears. The clock in the lock Screen is working, so everything seems to be ok. But the System does not react on any keyboard or mouse Input.
The Keyboard is working perfectly in the BOOT Menue (after F2 during Startup). So I am quite sure that this is not a hardware problem.
I have a new problem, and it is with keyboard input. I have to type very slowly to get my keystrokes to actually get entered. I need to hold down each key for at least one full second or press the key several times to type each keystroke. This occurs on all four keyboards I tried including a wireless Logitech that I'm using to type this. PC is Dell 560, OS Windows 10 Home. The PC is practically useless like this.

I upgraded to Windows 10 yesterday, and at first, everything was fine, but when I play league of legends, randomly, my computer just says "input not supported" or "no signal" or sometimes nothing at all, and then shuts down. This never happened before I upgraded to Windows 10. I went back to Windows 8.1, but it still shuts down in the middle of league games. Again, never happened before going to Windows 10. Is it my GPU? or CPU? or PSU?
