How do I resolve error code 1335 ? App downloads and MS updates will not down load. "cabinet file package error" PCW_CAB_RDR
My OS is Win 10 original install, not upgrade, from HP. CPU tower not laptop. Continuing problem.
I keep getting an error when I try to download Icloud for windows that says : Error 1721. There is a problem with this Windows Installer package. A program required for this install to complete could not be run. Contact your support or package vendor--
I tried all the suggestions I could find but so far nothing seems to be wrong with the installer. I there anything I can try to fix this error ?
So I have file history on and working. If I enter file history options via Start menu/settings/update & security/backup/more options/ there is a list of folders under "back up these folders" all prefixed c:users"myname"
Above this is an "add a folder" option. When I click on this and choose a folder that isn't under the "users" folder I get an error saying "But that didn't work. To find out more, look up error code 0x80070032"
Now I've looked up this error code but nothing I've found relates to file history. I'm only trying to include a seperate folder on a local drive.
I've read file history will only backup folders in Libraries and documents so why is there an option to "add a folder"?
I've tried adding the particular folder to a library but when trying to add that library under the "add a folder" it says you are trying to add a library you need to add a folder?
I've tried downloading and installing Windows 10 via the System Update for the past 24 hours (I've tried it 5 separate times). Every time it gets to 84% overall, and 36% configuring settings, then goes to a black screen with nothing on it (including no cursor) and almost no HDD activity. This has happened all five times.

I tried to upgrade to Windows 10 from pro 7. When going online I get this message....

The instruction at 0x60B52556 referenced memory at 0x60B52556. The memory could not be written. Click ok to terminate the program.
If I close with the "x" I can continue. But when I close Firefox I get a black screen and have to restart. Anytime I use a program it does this. What to do.
I get the error "Code 80200013" when I try to upgrade my windows 8.1 to windows 10 from my reserved upgrade through Windows Update.
Additionally when I try to create a usb installation media through the tool (this one here [URL] ....) I get the message "something happened".
I'm updating from 10041 to 10061 and every time get the "oops something went wrong..." message with no error code around 30~40% into installation. Any remedy or am I not the only one?
View 6 RepliesI have never had a problem installing updates to Win 8.1 and all important updates are fully installed. Every time I try to update to Win10 it says "downloading Windows 10 - checking requirements" and then I get the above error message.
View 9 RepliesBasically I got this error message while upgrading to Win 10 from Windows 8.1 using the media creation tool.
What happened was, I did this first and i got to windows 10 no problem. Everything was fine until my internet died on the PC. Troubleshooting said there was a problem between the router and the connection. Long story short I could not get the internet up and running on my desktop only, everything else was fine and my other devices had no problem connecting to the Internet. The Internet worked about 4 hours into using Windows 10 then died on the PC only.
So I went back to Win 8.1. Everything seemed to go ok, everything worked. I tried to update to Windows 10 again Abd got this during the install...
When I try to upgrade Windows 8.1 with Bing tablet to Windows 10 in Windows update i get Error Code 8007003 in preparing to install phase.
When choosing try again it re downloads everything and same error appears.
I tried cleaning Windows Update files and running troubleshooter but it doesn't work.
If I try to upgrade from windows 10 home ISO will my activation be fine.
Trying to upgrade my wife's PC via windows update. so far failed about 10 times with different errors. Latest it downloaded everything, completed the install, rebooted shows the x% complete screen, rebooted, briefly showed the Win10 icon and the small circle of white dots, rebooted and back at win7

Anti virus is just Windows Security.
Although I have been notified that my upgrade is ready to install, every time I try this it fails with an error message code of '80070002'. I've followed MS instructions on how to fix but guess what - it still fails.

His words "it finishes the install, gets to the copying files stage., then after a while it starts restoring my windows 8.1 back." He sent me a screenshot of the error but for reasons I don't know, Tapa Talk isn't allowing me to send the image. The error code on the screenshot is 0x8007000E-0x2000C with the message "The installation failed in the SAFE_OS phase with an error during APPLY_IMAGE operation."

I have an acer aspire v5 573g. I wanted to clean install Windows 10 on it. And every time I tried it gave me an error code : 0x800701E3. I thought it might be due corrupt instalation file or something. I tried other copies but it gives same error. I don't know what it means. I tried searching on the net, but I didn't find anything. It does the download and looks like it is all downloading fine and it starts rebooting and then it goes to a blank blue screen and doesn't go off the screen. I have to turn my laptop off just to do something on it, it then restores my old version of windows and doesn't download windows 10.
I then check the update and it says "failed" with the error details "code 8007002C"
Just upgraded from windows 7 pro to windows 10 Pro.
The upgrade appears to have gone well except for the error which I will describe below.
The symptoms: When attempting to install any software which requires administrator privileges, I am getting one of two errors.
More specifically, I was attempting to install "Speccy" to get more information about my hardware. I double clicked the installer and immediately received the following error: [URL] ....
I attempted a reboot, and then after that, I did a disk cleanup and basically checked everything including the previous versions of windows. Then I rebooted again and have still received the same error.
Now when attempting to install some other software I have either received the error I show above, OR I will sometimes get the following error: [URL] ....
I have done a bunch of googling and have found zero information about those errors or how to fix them, besides "reinstall windows" ...
I REALLY don't want to re-install windows, and would like to fix this problem without wiping out my current installation.
After I uninstalled catalyst control centre (because I was having problems with it). When I restarted my mouse and keyboard weren't working. So I tried a ps2 kb and mouse and this worked. I went to device manager a looked at the USB devices, all of them had a yellow warning sign next to the devices. I checked each one and they all had error 39 (missing or corrupted drivers). I tried updating and uninstalling the devices with no avail. How can I fix this?

I upgraded to W10 a few weeks ago from W7. All went well.
Then 2 days ago i got the windows error code oxc000021a, and the computer wouldn't start. Couldn't get into safe mode, and repair didn't work either. Really annoying. I've had to reinstall windows 7. I can still see my windows 10 old install saved under windows.old.
I don't have any option yet to re-upgrade to W10, despite putting all the updates on W7 again. What can I do to get W10 again and recover my data from windows.old?

Any fix that actually works so i don't have to try 100 things. The only thing to note is i have two drives, one is an ssd which is where my current windows is installed and its path is E, not C, just wondering if that may be the problem.

View 1 RepliesI have Windows Live Mail(WLM)/I am running Windows 10 Home X64. and it seems every night around 10:00 EST my WLM goes down-I can not send or receive any messages. When I shut don for the night and restart in the morning WLM works good. This has been going on for a couple of weeks now. Errors I am getting: 0x8000CC0F and Socket error: 10053.
I checked the internet but could not find any good answers to this problem.
I have a home build desk top and upgraded to MS10 when it came out. Very few problems. Was printing ok and them all of a sudden when I try to print a photo from the computer I get a error code -20. I have googled error code -20 and mainly come up with companies wanting to sale their fix all software.
