Oct 26, 2015I have Aspire V5-573G, which has all hardware requirements for Windows 10. The problem is when I tried to upgrade from windows 8.1 to 10 after 30%, the installation stops and roll backs to windows 8.1, I tried this 3 times and fed up. It gave me error "The installion failed in the FIRST_BOOT phrase with an error during BEGIN_FIRST_BOOT operation".
So I tried to do a clean install, I have booted to USB key, formatted hard drive, but it gave me error "Windows cannot install required files. Make sure all files required for installation are available, and restart the installation. Error code: 0x800701E3". Both the way I couldn't install windows 10.

Aug 22, 2015I have a Acer Aspire which is bought 5 years back.It was running windows 7 ultimate x64 and has 2 gb ram and 500 gb hdd and intel pentium.Three monts back,there was an unexpected shutdown and when started it again,it shows an error and says that
1.Try installing media using usb stick or dvd and
2.Go to the language preferences and select any language and press next
3.And click on repair your computer
I tried doing that and it says that contact your device administrator
Finally,i tried installing windows 10 pro which was download from Windows 10 and there was a slow progress in"Getting files ready for installation 1%,2%,3%............"and at 33% it showed an error that "Windows cannot install required file.Make sure all files required for installation are available,and restart the installation.
Error code: 0x8007045D". I burned the iso through "isotousb" software.

Nov 24, 2015I bought a new SSD drive and used it to replace my old slow HDD in my laptop. I have just successfully installed windows 10 on it.
During the step shown in the picture below, I clicked on "New"
Which brought me to this step
From here, i just chose "Drive 0 Partition 4", clicked "Next", and the installation began.
Now here is my question, does it make a difference (or is it better) if I had chosen to format "Drive 0 Partition 4" first and then install? cuz my friend is saying that I should always format before installing Windows.

I feel like I read something about this somewhere on here, but I can't seem to find anything relative to my circumstances when I search for it. My wife is wanting this Surface Pro when I upgrade!!!

Aug 1, 2015I've had two system crashes over the past day or so with an error saying that a required component was missing. The first time gave the error code 0xc000000f and I had to rebuild the BCD and then do a refresh of the windows installation. I didn't catch the error code the second time but I believe it ended with an e. the second crash, like the first one, required boot media before it would restart, but did not require a system refresh. What could be causing these errors? I'll give my system info below.
CPU: i5 4690k
RAM: Team Vulcan 16GB
MOBO: ASRock Z97E-ITX/ac
GRAPHICS: ASUS R9 390
STORAGE: 240GB SanDisk SSD & 1TB Western Digital hard drive
Some MSI Files Not Installing Saying Required Module Not Found
Nov 30, 2015We have written several programs in VB.2010. They all have a setup and deploy project to create the MSI file. There is a launch condition for a specific file.
This same technique is used in many other programs we have. All work in Windows 7, 8, etc. but not in Windows 10.
The file is there where it supposed to be.
Some programs work using the same exact file in Windows 10 and some do not. All work on Windows 7, 8.

I've attempted several times to download Google Earth. Download fails: "Google Earth needs administrator privileges to install."
I am the only user on this PC and User Account type indicates that I'm the "Administrator".

Cannot Install MSI Files - Installation Already Running
Sep 11, 2015So I've recently discovered that I cannot install any MSI files on my Windows 10 system. I originally had this issue with Razer Synapse 2.0 which threw an Error 1500: There is another Installation in progress. I kind of gave up and forgot about it a few weeks ago, until I came across another MSI file that I have to install for school. Its a secure downloader for a Dreamspark program. Same issue. Throws a "There's another installation currently in progress" error. So it seems like the Windows installer service is corrupted, but of course on windows 10 I cant change anything about it from the services panel. Tried a bunch of solutions that seemed to work on previous OS's, but haven't had any success.

Oct 15, 2015I'm booting from bios to a usb and installing windows 10 on a 250gb ssd and it get to about 77-82% and the spits out the error 0x8007025D and I cant get it to go any further. I have used the media installation tool to install on three separate usb's and still get the same problem.
here are my specs
CPU: i7 6700K
MOBO: ASROCK Z170 K6
RAM: 2x8 DDR4
GPU: RADEON R290x
all that's plugged in is the ssd, monitor, ram, and keyboard/mouse

Dec 23, 2015So, I have Windows 10 already installed on my PC. I upgraded it last Summer from Windows 7 for free.
I've been trying to update it for the past 6 weeks but keep getting the error: "Windows 10 couldn't be installed. Windows can't be installed because this PC has an unsupported desk layout for UEFI firmware."
I have 3 hard drives and Win10 is running on my main SSD, disk 0. I remember having some funky upgrade issues and needed to unplug certain hard-drives due to strange ownership issues. Heres is a look from Disk Management. I've got an MSI m-board plus BIOS, all new.

In other words, is this sort of upgrade the same as a clean install, only with the files restored to 'documents', desktop, etc.? Or, does the new windows folder contain remnants of the previous install.

Oct 25, 2015Successfully upgraded to Windows 10, all applications and settings works perfectly and all previous problems are gone.
I've been facing a collection of annoying problems with my Windows 8.1, specifically setting saving problem, for example can't save settings like default app, folder and icon size, i didn't update to Win10 yet because i am working on very important projects.
My question is, do you think this kind of problems will be fixed after updating to Win10 by keeping all my files, programs, etc... ?Or should i do a clean installation of Win10 so my computer will be "system-new".
Installation :: Boot Error After Clean Install To SSD Old HDD Still Attached
Sep 23, 2015Inserted my new SSD to a SATA3 port and, next to my HDD 1TB, and went for a clean install right away. The system installed without problems (wiht the old HDD still attached), then i booted up the system (was a bit weird, because two versions were showing, however i formatted the old windows partition) and installed my programs. I saw that a 110 MB of data were still sitting on my old partition where the Windows 10 was earlier. Tried to delete those files but could not. However I shut down my pc and wanted to boot up again. Then it showed me a screen with "select proper boot device or restart computer". I went to BIOS to see if my SSD was set to primary boot device, but it was. But when i manaully select the boot device, my SSD, after starting up the computer, it boots into Windows and is running normally.
Can it be that there is no boot partition on my SSD and it wants to use the boot files from the HDD?? I also tried to unplug the HDD and boot up, but the same massage was showing up. But when i select the boot device manually it works.
Installation :: Clean Install On HP Pavillion - Error 0x80070003
Oct 1, 2015I am trying to do a clean install of windows 10 on a new SSD on an HP Pavillion purchased in 2009 or 2010. I am booting from a DVD. All is going well in the beginning of the install. I get past the product key verification and partition section. Once it starts copying the windows file during the install it has been giving me the following error message and stopping the install:
"Windows cannot install required files. The file does not exist. Make sure all files required for installation are available and restart the installation. Error code: 0x80070003."
It has made it to different percentages of copying files before it gives me the error. Once I believe it made it almost to 100% and then gave me the error.
I have since re-downloaded the ISO twice onto different discs with no success. Have called microsoft support with no success. Tried booting from USB but the computer does not seem to support it. Tried updating bios but no newer versions were available.

May 30, 2015Win 7 user here, wanting to dual boot with Windows 10 preview (on a different partition).
So I made a Win 10 usb boot disc, and it installed it fine. Played around with the new Windows for a few mins, whilst it downloaded an update, and after installing the update, it said it needs to restart, naturally. So I did.
However, since then, the PC keeps restarting, showing a Windows 10 logo, and below that is the text, "preparing automatic repair". Then it just resets, and goes in this endless loop.
Why is this happening, and how do I resolve it?
