Installation :: How To Get ALL Of Favorite Icons On One Level Of Bottom Tray
Jul 30, 2015
In the new windows 10, I notice that I suddenly have to back and forth between two levels on my bottom tray, to find the icons that I need. How do I get ALL the icons that I need, first of all, and then, how do I get them ALL on the same level?

I'm using Windows 10 Pro. I've lost the power level (battery) and the sound level control icons. What do I have to do to get them back? When I try to activate them they're grayed out.

I recently made a clean install of Windows 10. However when I reboot I noticed that the Wi-Fi tray icon wasn't showing any menu. I click it and nothing happened. No list was shown, the only way to connect was to go to This PC Configuration --- Internet & Networks --- Wi-Fi.
Wi-Fi tray icon, battery and volume don't work. I don't know what to do. I search about it and found something about resetting explorer.exe, I try that but didn't work.

Upgraded from Windows 8.1 to Windows 10. The Installation went ok but when it got to the desktop my screen kept blipping or stalling out, my icons at the bottom of my screen and on the desktop kept disappearing and reappearing, my ICloud is giving me some weird message about how I don't have the privileges to access the folder...oh, and I cant click on an of my folders either...Anywhere between 5 min to 25 min is how long it takes for my computer to finally Stabilize itself and then everything works fine....It seems like it is taking longer to Stabilize...My computer is fairly new...I bought it in June of 2014...It is an HP Envy 23 All in One.

Using Win10 x64 with IE11, and after the latest major update(TH2) immediately I noticed that whenever I save anything in "fav bar" it now saves and the icon appears from left-hand side. Earlier any saves I did the icons started from right-side/far end side of the fav. bar.
So, is there a way I can revert so tht new saved icons get saved on right-side of the bar?

Having issues with certain icons not staying at the bottom when I put them there. It all started after a windows 10 update some time ago. One day I fired up my laptop and noticed that some of my icons that I had at the bottom of the screen moved up. Tried to move them back and they went right back to the next row above. Did some searching and found suggestion moving the text size smaller and that worked, but now all of my icons are tiny.

Okay, last night I was playing fine on my built PC with windows 10, everything worked and nothing was wrong. But when I started it this moring it was greated by an unusually long lasting black screen on startup and was only able to see my mouse. That's problem #1. Now I bypassed this by hitting space bar and entering my password to log into my computer..After logging in I see that all of my icons on my desktop are gone. I tried to open chrome from my taskbar and the taskbar shows that its open but noting appears on my screen when I try to acess it. This is the same with all of my apps.
I also can't see any of the icons on the bottom right hand of my desktop either .(such as the wifi signal and the volume mixer) I can hit my windows button and can navigate a menu that's is contained in that box. But can't open anything. I've tryed restarting, ctrl alt del only brings me to another black screen. This is my full build. I have had no problems with the computer before today.

So my laptop, which has been on Windows 10 for a while now, updated last night after I went to bed. So now the start menu won't open and I don't have the icons on the bottom right corner (time, wifi, etc.). I read several old posts about doing the "powershell" thing but it won't let me because it said I have to run it as an administrator on the console. So I'm stuck there because it's my laptop, wouldn't I automatically have admin rights on my own device?

Since upgrading to Windows 10 from 7, I have noticed icons duplicating in the system tray. I haven't been able to find a solution online, as everyone else is complaining about icons in the taskbar. The most commonly duplicated icons have been Vuze, Samsung Link, and Norton Antivirus.
know a solution or reason for these multiples of icons?
In case the image link doesn't work, here is the direct link to the screenshot on my google drive.

Ever since Windows XP icons in the tray bar automatically hide when unused. Since I believe Windows Vista there was the option to make those tray icons visible so they didn't hide even when they were not used. I cannot seem to find this option in Windows 10, how I make sure the tray icons won't hide?
I want the icons in the big square to just be next to the others on the taskbar. In Windows 7 and 8/8.1 (and maybe also XP and Vista I don't remember) I know you could just right-click the arrow and mark a checkbox but there is no such thing in Windows 10.

After a day using windows 10 I can't click any icons on the system tray and I can't click the windows button. I can click them with the right mouse button. When I left click on them it gives a short loading cursor and after that it doesn't do anything.

I've recently created a thread stating that Start Menu, Settings and everything on taskbar were not working (such as volume control and wi-fi networks). I reinstalled Windows (clean install) and it was good again until today, when it started again.
I tried to open Settings via "ms-settings:" via Run, but it says that "limit time was reached" (It's a rough translation, as Windows language in my notebook is not in English). If I press Windows key + P (ms-settings:display), it won't open and I get a message that "this file has not an associated program to it to perform this task". Install a program, or in case there's one already installed, create an association in Defaul Programs control panel." Basically, this a list of what is not opening anymore:
Start Menu, Settings (and all options within it), Windows tray icons (power options, wi-fi networks etc.).
I've already rebooted Windows but I didn't fix anything. I don't know man, this is the second time this issue arises after a clean install. Windows 10 is buggy as hell, what's up with Settings and Start menu not opening anymore? Is Windows 10 still in beta? Seriously, did MS test Windows 10 at all? It doesn't look so. If this keeps happening I'll have to return to Windows 8.1 which was working fine

I do not know what happened, but I lost some file associations, such as opening .torrent files and magnetic links with utorrent and text files (.ini, .txt etc.) with Notepad++. Additionally, Start Menu and tray options, such as volume slider and wi-fi menu are not opening anymore. Settings starts, though. I already tried to apply that CSSEmerg67758.diagcab fix, but it didn't work. I can't perform a system restore as well, I get this error: ....

I have an AMD 6670 and I just upgraded to Windows 10. At first I couldn't set my resolution back to 1920x1080 but I downloaded the driver and now I'm able to. The issue is that when I set the resolution, it's like everything is stretched out. The taskbar is off the screen on the bottom and same with the icons on the top and sides of the screen. I can see the very top of the taskbar at the bottom, but not enough to click on start or choose any programs that I have open.

I just upgraded to Win 10 on my Acer Aspire One netbook, but cannot get the bottom of the display to be visible. The start button/task bar is off screen, and I cannot find a way to fix it.
The native display of the netbook is 1024X600, and display was set at 1024X768 in Win 7, and worked fine. Now, even if I set the display resolution back to 1024X600, the icons just get bigger, and the bottom ones are mostly off screen.
I even tried 800X600, but that was just worse.
Without the start button and task bar, it is hard to try anything.

I have Win 10 on for several months with almost no problems. Yesterday I had something (?) on the screen and looked away to the TV. When I looked at the screen it was rotated 90 degrees clockwise. My wife did fix that for me. but still have 2 problems. The (Window) on the far left of the task bar will only respond to a right click. Not a big deal but the speaker button on the right side of the task bar does not open the volume slider. Must left click on the speaker and go from there.

I am running Windows 10 Pro in a Toshiba Satellite L850-1FR (15.6"), and every time I start my computer I need to change the scaling level as it seems to be 200% by default, but for me 100% is the right level. Any way to change this default option so I don´t have to change it every time I start Windows? I have attached a print screen.

After installing an Acer tool PowerSmart Manager to optimize my laptop's battery life, the battery icon disappeared from my notifications area. (This tool was meant for Windows 7).Not only that, but I can't check the battery levels (using either Windows Mobility options or an external battery monitoring software).Uninstalling the software doesn't revert the battery icon, and I still can't check my battery levels. Is there any way of fixing without reinstalling Windows?
