View 1 RepliesI got updated last night. I can't find my update history. I used to be able to in Win 7. In Win 10 I don't know what to click on. A notification appeared at the lower right corner of the screen and then disappeared after about two seconds. The Notification area says No Notifications.
View 1 RepliesMy player keeps closing when ever I try to find the correct album info. It only seems to happen when I search for the correct album.
View 6 RepliesRecently I am notice Media Player is crashing while Groove cannot even find a single media file out of 100GB music. Audacious stupid Groove asks: "My dear please tell me where to search for your lovely music files?", but then turns over and goes to sleep. Very disappointing. Now I cannot play any music neither by Media Player nor Groove.
View 1 RepliesWell before some months i updated my windows 7 to windows 10.. ALL GOOD my pc is faster.. okay all works fine except my reader which I didn't check it on time..So recently i found that my reader ( drw 00032dvdrw lg 22x sata black) don't read any discs! it has power but it doesn't read! I unplugged it several times ( 2 times with power on and 1 time with power off..) I also can`t find it on the device manager so I thought that my system cant find it because of the changes that may have been from the update 10 . After that big finding, I searched for any update for the reader but i cant find anything...
View 1 RepliesI updated to windows 10 and ended up getting the black screen with a cursor. I followed some instructions to log in which worked and so am at the desktop but now whenever I open anything it doesn't appear onscreen, I assume this is caused by the same driver error (am running intel CPU + GTX 970 GPU) that makes the computer think there are 2 monitors.
how I can get into the settings to turn of this 'second monitor'?
EDIT: I just dragged the off screen settings on screen by guessing where to click in the end.
My DVD drive does not work after I updated to Windows 10 (even though it does on the same computer in Linux Ubuntu) .
View 4 RepliesI am trying to find my pictures on my computer and I can't. I don't know if they're in another folder or what?
View 1 RepliesI'm in a lurch on 10162. I haven't received an email to update to 66, and windows is telling I'm up to date. My friend got 10166 installed, and he's having an issue with resolutions, so I'm trying to install now.
View 1 Replieswhen I upgraded to windows ten I selected keep nothing when it asked me what files I wanted to keep thing it would delete all the junk I don't need on my pc, but after the upgrade my HDD was just as full as it was before. so I tried to manually delete stuff but now when I look through my cdrive I says all the file are empty except for the windows one. When I look to see how much room I left no my hard drive it says one out of two TB is full but I cant find what's taking up that 1 TB anywhere.
View 6 RepliesI have two Windows 10 laptops. One updated to whatever version that added the "Find My Device" option in "Updates & Security." The other doesn't seem to be able to update to that version. Of course, the laptop that got it is one that stays at home and the one where it would be useful because I travel with it, it's not updating.
I am just assuming the cause is that it's not updating Windows 10 to the version that activates "Find My Device."
Why the search doesn't find 'windows update' / 'check for updates' ? Other searches work , but this isn't , on my other pc's "check for updates" works . Posted pics with working 'add or remove' too .
View 3 RepliesMercifully I still have access to media player and photo viewer from win 7 , I really don't like the new win10 versions.
Is this because I installed over the top of win 7 or are they available if u do a clean install of win 10?
Microsoft said a clean install of Windows 10 can happen. How do you find the key? Do you have to use a key finder after the upgrade or will Microsoft make it easily available?

View 8 RepliesI had saved my email address book off my W XP machine ( Outlook Express ) as a WAB file in my external hard drive. I imported it & now I can't find it anywhere! It was supposed to be in Windows Mail ( Hate it!). Where/how do I find it?
View 14 RepliesI recently tried to upgrade a friend's Windows 8.1 notebook to Windows 10. I had a Windows 10 Greek DVD-ROM with me to save time waiting for the update to download. I checked System Properties, it was Windows 8.1 64-bit, everything was in Greek, so I assumed he had the Greek Windows version and I could proceed with the upgrade using my DVD-ROM. Unfortunately he originally had the English version and he had added the Greek Language Pack and changed the default display language to Greek! So after wasting about half an hour for Windows Setup to check and download updates, we were presented with the choice of keeping his data only (second), the choice to keep both data and applications (first) was grayed out. I read at the bottom that I could not make a proper upgrade because the language I'm trying to install was different from the system language! Oh my God! Eventually we wasted another hour to wait for the upgrade to download!
So the question is how can I check which is the original system language? One possible way is to install a utility such as Aida64 and go to the Operating System section, but this is not really convenient to download and install a utility just to check the language version. How can I do it from Windows without using any utility? System Properties do not display this information and if the user has changed the display language, like in my friend's case, you can be deceived. Neither does winver, I checked.
When trying to create Windows 10 installation media on a USB drive with media creation tool, despite having a 16gig USB drive plugged in and recognized by my laptop it's not being recognized by media creation tool..(refresh does nothing)
Question #1..does this USB drive need to be empty with no other files on it whatsoever?
Question #2..this USB drive was formatted in Windows 7 initially,do I need to reformat it now in Windows 10?
Question #3...Why the heck am I doing this on a relaxing Sunday afternoon??..??
Have followed instructions & downloaded upgrade only to find every time it gets to 32% it fails & will not go any further, have done this four times outcome always the same, I have 74gb of hard drive free so there should be enough to accommodate the upgrade.
View 9 RepliesI recently had my PlayStation 3 system corrupt, and I had two options, to delete all of my data and start new, or go trough a long process to restore my data.
To restore my data, I need to change my computer to the SATA Controller mode IDE, but I can not find it in the system BIOS. The closet thing I can find is switching between AHCI and ATA, but I need IDE mode.
Where can I find the setting to change it?
It's not even a week when I upgraded to wds 10 ..Now It won't let me roll back. When I fo to Recovery and click roll back ..START .. It keeps showing wds can not find the files to go back even if WINDOW OLD still in drive C "main" drive. The only way to roll back is to restore factory settings ..
View 7 RepliesWindows 10 can't find my USB hub (F4U017). Device manager shows driver SXUPTP.SYS has a problem and has blocked it. I can't find an upgrade.
View 3 RepliesI have a Samsung laptop running windows 8.1 which I am trying to update to Windows 10. The update downloads fine, installs as it should and then reboots my machine as if it wants to start into Windows 10 for the first time. The problem I face is that the machine seems to lock up on the blue windows 10 logo, the hard drive stops spinning on the laptop and nothing happens. The only thing that you can do is crash the machine by switching off the power, the laptop then boots back into Windows 8.1 as if it was never upgraded
View 6 RepliesI have a desktop PC running 8.1 x64. I decided to upgrade using Windows Update to 10. The files are downloaded with no problems, and then it asks for reboot. And when installing the system, the process stuck at 12% (copying files 42%). It just stays there for hours. If I force a reboot, the operation starts to revert to 8.1, and when it finally boots, I see this error: C1900101-2000D.
I haven't found much information about the error, I've tried the installation for a couple of times now, and I'm getting a bit desperate.
I had a friend who installed Windows 10 Pro 32-bit operative system on my Windows 7 Pro 64-bit OS, it wasnt until this day (2015/08/26) that I noticed it on my Laptop. How to upgrade or update it to 64-bit without erasing or formating everything??
View 9 RepliesI click on the "get windows10" icon and it tells me that every thing is ready to install. So I click on " OK, lets continue" ...
A new window opens telling me "working on it" I had this run for 30 minutes and nothing changes.
I rebooted and started again, same results. I tried this several times, no joy. What am I missing?
