I have installed windows 10 on my Lenovo laptop which had Windows 7 but after installation of Windows 10 i can not able to open
Microsoft edge, Store, setting from starts menu.
It always comes with an error message "Element not found"
So I'm cruisin the web and all of a sudden Edge disappears. I try to bring it up again and "Explorer.EXE Element not found.

Seems to be just my user (live account) which seems more strange.

I installed Win 10 a few weeks ago and today is the first time that I've turned it on since then. I checked for Windows updates and it found some and appeared to start to download and install them. Then the window disappeared and I checked for updates again. "RuntimeBroker.exe Element not found". What does this mean in Microsoftese?
View 2 RepliesI downloaded Win10 Wednesday of last week. Ive had 3 issues. One major two minor (and related).
First, each time I try to wake my computer up from sleep, it crashes, i get the sad face and it tells me it needs to restart.
Second, Edge and the Store wont connect to the internet. It seems to be something with my Microsoft account. IE, Cortana, Steam etc. else connect fine.
All was working a couple of days ago, now today I can not access edge. double click nothing, went to task bar and cannot enter anything into the "Search the web and windows" then went to windows icon and do not see/get the apps
Tried to get to updates but now I cannot find them..
I upgraded to Windows 10! When ever I try to just simply search something in Google Chrome is search's for a minute then gives me the error WEBSITE UNAVAILABLE ERR_CONNECTION_REFUSED I couldn't even search up what that meant! I only got here because it was a favorites tab.
Same thing happens on Firefox too, takes an hour to load up what I searched and gives me an error, tried Microsoft Edge and it also wouldn't load any search results. I looked around on my phone but no one really has this problem. It can't be my Wi-Fi because it is fine on every other device. What could it possibly be? I can't uninstall Chrome because how would I get it back if nothing else works?!
Things I have tried:
unchecking compatibility mode checking use hardware acceleration (in chrome settings)
unchecking use hardware acceleration running as admin clearing all history and cache (in both browsers)
running ccleaner for both browsers trying a different network restarting my computer all have not worked
TI had a problem with Windows store not working or edge not launching on my PC etc etc what is the best method to try and fix without draconian measures? if something went wrong I would want to try and restore functionality with as little requirement to go back and re install stuff as possible. I'd look to a measure that leaves user accounts intact and things like iTunes, steam, all my games, game clients, office 2016 all still installed and not removed. To lose all of that just to try and get the store or edge back and running seems too severe. It would take many, many hours perhaps days to get back to where I was. Especially would be nervous about iTunes which with its connection to iCloud music library would be disastrous to unsettle. I have my boot SSD drive and a larger secondary mechanical hard drive. All my software is installed across both locations although the steam library resides on the secondary given the colossal game install sizes we have nowadays.
View 2 RepliesSince installing the November Windows 10 update (11/17/15) none of my favorites are being stored in the default Edge folder. While in Edge the favorites are available but when I go to the default folder they are not listed. Is there another location they may be being saved or has my default location somehow been changed? My AppData folder shows a creation date of 11/17/15 with no modifications being made in favorites since that date.
View 1 RepliesI just upgraded to Windows 10 from Windows 7 and I decided to add an app. I clicked on the store app and then picked the app I wanted and then clicked on Free. A menu came up that said choose account so I clicked on Microsoft Account and a screen popped up for about one second and then was gone.
I then went up to the upper right hand of the screen and clicked on the icon to the left of the search window and clicked on Sign In, then I clicked on Microsoft Account and the same thing happened again, a screen popped up and then in a second it was gone. What is causing this?
Below is the screen I see for a few seconds before it goes away. Also, when I go into Setting/Account and click on "Sign in with a Microsoft account instead" the same thing happens.
I still have the icon for MS Store in my taskbar, but it no longer works. Clicking on it does nothing. When I click the START button, the MS Store App is grayed out.

But sometimes, only in Microsoft Edge, when I play a video in YouTube the player says "An error occurred" and then all the speakers start working. At the time I didn't know that the Favorites for Microsoft Edge are stored in a different folder other than the Windows 7 folder of C:usersmikefavorites. I was told that they are stored in the folder C:UsersMikeAppDataLocalPackagesMicrosoft.MicrosoftEdge_8wekyb3d8bbweACMicrosoftEdgeUserDefaultFavorites
but this is only true for the Favorites that imported during the original Windows 10 Update. Any Favorite that I delete from the Favorites list in Microsoft Edge doesn't get deleted from the Windows 10 Favorites Folder. In addition any new Favorites I create in Microsoft Edge do not show up in the Microsoft 10 Favorites Folder either. So where the heck are they?
