Although my printer will print a test page which says that it is working correctly since installing windows 10 I am unable to print anything else because when I try to print the page ie pictures or anything from my computer it is copied to my document only. I have reinstalled the printer and also re installed win 10
View 5 RepliesI have a friend that has this problem,When he tries to print from either notepad or rich text document it says that it stops working,With no error code.
Printing from Chrome browser and Thunderbird email client work just fine.And his other computer prints just fine from notepad and rich text document.
I have a desktop computer, it was working fine almost a year and now from a few days I am having a serious issue and that is when using my computer (generally or during gaming) it displays an error i.e PAGE_FAULT_FOUND_IN_NON_PAGED_AREA. The screen turns pink and the edges are green (that's probably because of the resolution as I use 3840x2160 so the error kinds of destorts) but that's not the real issue, the main problem is the error itself.

When i upgraded to windows 10 on my toshiba laptop the display changed from black printing on a white background to blue printing on a black background which i can"t read. my old eyes aren't working so well any more and i would like to switch back to the black on white.
View 1 RepliesAfter installing Windows 10, I reopened some Word documents that have been an ongoing project for the past 8 years. They are long and complex documents including images, artwork and Chinese characters. I found that the formatting of these documents has been completely ruined! Everything has been moved around, some characters have been layered onto of one another and to top it off, the two fonts used for the entirety of the documents have been changed to another plainer font.
After checking the Word fonts, lots of them have disappeared, including the ones I use, and when I tried to import one of the old fonts in from a back up file, Word simply did not recognise it! Does Windows 10 automatically update to a newer version of Word when you install it? Is there any way to revert back to the way these documents were before the update? Manually reformatting them will take an estimated 1-2 years of work I tried looking at doing a system restore but there are no pre-saved restore points so haven't had any luck there, don't even know if it would work anyway..
I have a HP computer and I installed windows 10 about a month and a half ago. Now I cannot log into my computer because it continues to get stuck on a keyboard layout page. Windows came installed originally on my computer so I have no start up disc or anything. And windows 10 I got from the recent download so no disc for that one either. Is there anything I can do to get the screen to disappear? When i try to click on my keyboard or mouse while it is up neither works.

View 3 RepliesI came across a very annoying problem. In the rush of multitasking I copied a folder that was being deleted at the time and pasted it onto my Desktop. Now I have an empty folder icon on my desktop with no name and I can't do anything with it.
None of the options in the context menu work, pressing Delete doesn't work either. When I list contents of my desktop in CMD using DIR command it doesn't display any directories either, as if the folder wasn't there at all.
I an trying to run Autoroute on an Asus machine with Win 10 and get a message saying "your registry settings for this application were not copied correctly". This occurs when the program in installed from its original discs or from a new works disc. I think it previously ran OK since upgrading to Win 10 but cannot be 100% certain.

View 1 RepliesAfter signing in on W10 sign in page, start up screen comes up but just keeps flashing, no icons on bottom task bar, curser has revolving blue circle, left click and right click has no effect. The only thing I can do is "control/alt/del to bring up the task manager. Tried rebooting numerous times to no avail. Tried disconnecting modem and computer and restarting, no luck. Appears that W10 is installed but seems to be hung up on start page. Unable to access anything. If I press the F1 key sometimes icons appear momentarily on the task bar but then they disappear and cannot bring them back up.
View 1 RepliesThe tiles I've put on the start page for various apps (all resized to small) and arranged in groups are rearranging themselves randomly and resizing to medium each time I reboot. I can't find any reason for this. Also, is it possible to start more than one app at a time using the tiles? I've tried searching here and using Google but nothing at all comes up.. It's a clean install after upgrading.
View 1 RepliesI keep getting a "Can't Reach this Page" tab at top. Also, I have an Etsy On-Line store, which worked perfectly until I upgraded to Win 10. Now it is sooooo slow to load anything, switch between pages, etc, (plus this "Can't Read Page" pops up). I ran a SFC/scannow and it said everything checked out fine.

I have attempted (numerous times) to install Windows 10 but it always errors at about 32% completion with the BSOD - Page Fault in Nonpaged Area (Portcls.sys). I have noted and tried almost all of the fixes others have had success with but alas, I am frustrated and disappointed by the continued troubles I am having. I am assuming that the problems stem from failed driver updates (see attached jpg) but I have been unable to correct this situation.I tried to insert the setupact log file but unfortunately it is too large for download.

I have the Get Windows 10 icon showing. When I click it, it takes me to the Upgrade Now button. So far so good.
When I click the Upgrade Now button, I get the starting to download screen with the circle dots. After a few seconds, it then takes me to the Windows 7 'Windows Update' page in the control panel, where it says that 'windows is up to date'. And that's it.
How to get Windows 10 to upgrade? I've done other laptops without issue.
I am not getting the print icon when I try to print an e mail - have tried altering resolution but system won't allow to change from default resolution - printing OK from excel word etc so nothing wrong with printer and it is set as default

View 3 RepliesI have a home network with 4 Windows 10 and two Windows XP computers. The 4 Windows 10 computers are in a Homegroup and all are set up to share files and printers. I can access documents on all of the computers in the homegroup from every other computer in the homegroup. Two of the computers are logged in with local user accounts. The other two are logged in with Microsoft ID user accounts. One of the Microsoft account computers has an HP inkjet printer and a Brother laser printer attached via USB ports. I can print on those two printers from the host computer and from the two computers logged in with local accounts. I cannot print to those two printers from the other computer logged in with a Microsoft user account. When I try to do so I get a notification that says "access denied, unable to connect". If I change that one computer to a local account, it works just fine immediately, but when I change it back to a Microsoft ID user account the problem recurs. That would seem to preclude driver, homegroup and network problems, but I rule nothing out at this point.

So I must save to desktop before printing which is an irritating inconvenience. It had been working before but then i got an upgrade and the print button quit working.
