I have installed intel's driver detection tool and it informed me that I have a custom driver installed by the manufacturer. Acer site scanned my pc and found new driver VGA 10.18.15.4248, which i downloaded but upon installation tells me is the wrong driver for my pc. I have upgraded(haha) from win8.1 to 10, not sure if this is part of the problem. This driver was released 7/15. I ran windows driver updater and it tells me the driver I have, the only one btw, is current. I have tried to contact both Acer and Intel and get no answers.

Acer Aspire 5943G upgraded from Win 7 to 10, Kaspersky 2015.
After tolerating a couple of glitches (track pad not scrolling, right speaker down, tiles at start menu not displayed, some icons not visable on task bar) I can now not boot up. The windows 10 logo appears with a rotating 'we'll get there sometime' device for a short while, after which the screen flickers black then grey/blue. It does not reach sign in, there is no cursor and it stays this way, although it will shut down ready for me to try again. I have tried hitting F8 during this but with no effect. F2 brings up set up, but how I can get back in to it?

I have an acer aspire v5 573g. I wanted to clean install Windows 10 on it. And every time I tried it gave me an error code : 0x800701E3. I thought it might be due corrupt instalation file or something. I tried other copies but it gives same error. I don't know what it means. I tried searching on the net, but I didn't find anything. I will also attach a photo which I took.

Yesterday my computer started up the automatic repair service when i turned it on. It attempts to diagnose the problem and fails. I've run chkdsk on both the boot and regular partitions of my install drive. I tried to repair using an install disk but it says it cant because my install drive is locked. I also tried resetting from within the recovery environment. When I did it got to 8% and then said it couldn't reset the os as it encounter a problem during the reset. I'm running Windows 10 off an SSD.

For the past few months, the right touchpad button does not work with the Windows 10 drivers. Windows 8.1 drivers worked fine. If I switch mouse settings to left handed, then the buttons work fine, but obviously this is awkward to get used to. I have rollbacked the driver to a very old edition and it worked fine, however then I had no synaptics touchpad settings so the touchpad settings could not be altered.
19.0.9.7 is the synaptics version
touchpad works fine on other user accounts

I have a problem with my Acer Aspire 5943G. I just upgraded from Windows 7 Home Premium OA to Windows 10 Home, and then updated Windows 10 until there were no updates showing. A couple problems appeared which I was able to fix but not a particular one; When I startup the laptop it all goes smoothly but when it gets to the login screen (clock with the background), my screen's backlight suddenly turns off.
I can still see the faint screen info if I shine a bright light in it. If I restart it, it fixes the problem though. This is rather frustrating as I cannot expect when it will happen (right now it happened when I turned it on from hibernation, sometimes it happens with a normal shutdown and startup). My GPU is ATI mobility radeon HD 5650. Also having a sound issue. I can get the sound to work through headphones, but not through the speakers.

I have an Acer Aspire laptop that used to have Bluetooth on it. I just recently noticed that all evidence of Bluetooth has disappeared from the OS. The Bluetooth module that I am using is:
Bluetooth 4.0 + HS, the two drivers listed on the support portal for my model number are an Atheros Wifi/BT combo and a Broadcom. I can't tell since there since the OS doesn't see it.
First thing I tried is to download and install both drivers from the manufacture's site (Acer Support). Both installers did not detect the BT module being present and ended prematurely.

But when it got to 81% (in total) while "Installing drivers and features" it resterted for the third time and then it started giving me the "Preparing automatic repair" and then "Diagnosing your pc" stuff. I was able to launch the automatic reapair and roll back to W7.

I found my laptop was stuck in some loop, it wasn't able to boot up and offered me to automatically repair it, however it doesn't solve anything and I've tried doing a full system reset to it however the same problem occurs still, it just doesn't boot and offers to restart and try to repair again or more options. I have tried different commands such as the SFC, CHKDSK, but got no where.
Laptop is Windows 10, Asus k501-U, i7 6500u, 12gb Ram, HDD 1tb + 16 gb SSD ...
When I do start up repair I got this message a few times: 'Start up repair couldn't repair your PC...
Log file: C:WINDOWSsytem32LogfilesSrtSrtTrail.txt
And when you do CHKDSK (I think) end error message is 'Failed to transfer logged messages to the event log with status 50'.

I have an Acer Aspire 7750g laptop for like 5 years now. Updating it's graphics card would result in having lines randomly flicker all over the screen horizontally. This is the reason I did not update it's drivers. Now that Windows 10 has released, it seems to have update it automatically which is irritating. I've searched in the internet some ways to fix it and tried one of them: Underclock the Memory Clock by 50 MHz in MSI Afterburner. This did not work at all. What I have done is I have underclocked the Core Clock by 50 MHz aswell and still no result. I've kept these two that way and restarted my laptop to hope that this might fix it, I was wrong. Now I can't even boot into windows. This is what I get when I try to boot into Windows: [URL]
I have tried going into safe mode and that's where I get the BSOD that says Kernel_Data_Inpage_Error. I have also enabled the low-resolution video mode, still no result. What I could do is reinstall the operating system but I'd like to keep that as my last option as I do not want to lose my files and I don't know if my windows 7 key will be accepted while installing windows 10 from a flashdrive.

I'm trying to resolve an issue with a Windows 10 desktop, HP small form factor purchased with OEM Win 7. Windows Update suggested Windows 10 and now the machine boots to the automatic repair screen but there is no mouse or keyboard function where the option panes appear.
While I did purchase the computer myself originally, it was purchased for the use of my church group, and two weeks ago came under the care of my co-deacon and friend. So, let's just say there is no recovery media now for Win 7 or Win 10. I can create a recovery disk here at home from one of my local Win 7 systems, but not sure if that will work or not.
I'd be perfectly happy to un-install Win10 from the machine, but there doesn't seem to be a way to get to the recovery partition... all F-key options have been tried.
This is a Core Duo processor.

Recently I got a new gaming PC which came with windows 7. The day after i upgraded to windows 10 and it was working fine. Yesterday i was using my PC and then the task bar disappeared so i decided to restart the computer to try and fix it. When the computer turned on again it went through the normal startup process but when it got to the windows logo it said preparing automatic install and then kept looping through startup and the windows logo. I have tried doing the system repair but when I press F8 nothing happens, so right now all i can do on the computer now is access the BIOS.

have an Asus Laptop running Win 10, upgraded from win 7. While reading one of the many links from Facebook, using Chrome as a browser, I got a popup that looked like some kind of ransomware . The popup would not close so I turned off the computer.
Now when I turn the computer on it flashes the Asus logo. Then “preparing automatic repair”, “diagnosing your computer” followed by “repairing your computer” appear. It then tells me that the PC did not start correctly and gives me the option to restart or advanced options. Restart brings me back to this point.
Advanced options gives me three options, Turn orr the PC that does that, Exit and continue to Win 10 that gets me back to the previous step or troubleshoot. Trouble shoot gives me the options to reset or more advanced options.
Reset is either a partial or full removal and reinstall or windows. I have some academic software that I do not want to lose if possible and in any case do not have any media to do a Windows reinstall.
The advanced options gives me six choices.
1 System Restore, but there are no restore points found.
2 System image recovery, but I do not have an image disc .
3 Startup repair, starts the process all over and does not find the problem.
4 Command Prompt, appears to open a working command prompt.
5 Startup Settings, Gives me a non clickable list of options but just continues the loop.
6 Go back to previous build. It warns me that I may lose apps and any changes I have made, but not my personal files.
The System is an ASUS laptop, X54C, made in 2012 with Widows 7 Home premium updated to win 10. I have no other access to the computer.

I have upgraded from windows 8.1 to Windows 10 The upgrade went well and i was able to use my computer initially. After i restarted my computer, i am stuck in Automatic repair loop.
I have downloaded a copy of windows 10 iso image and made a windows 10 USB boot drive. I tried repairing the startup issue as suggested in some of the forums but no joy.
Its a new PC setup three months ago. Sad there was no hardware or app compatibility check before upgrading.
Config: Intel I7 with 16GB RAM. dual boot with Ubuntu

I have had this loop for 4-5 hours now, and I have not found any fix for it. I am using build 10240. I have tried reverting back to windows 7, and that failed. Tried start-up repair, that failed. Tried system restore and image recovery, those failed too. Even resetting my pc has failed. I have tried cmd commands, and those also failed. I have upgraded to windows 10 via online from Windows 7, and I do not have a disk or another computer to work with. Nothing has even caused this issue. I just booted my pc like any other day and I was sent into this loop. I have a Gigabyte USB 3.0 powered motherboard.

So I thought I'd try out free version of Avast. Well, after few weeks of getting rocked by popups, I uninstalled it(from programs and features) and rebooted it, thinking life is good now. Hell naw it ain't good now, not at all.
I'm stuck in Automatic Repair loop. Windows attempts to auto repair, tells me my PC didn't start properly, does not boot to safe mode, does not find any restore points, fails to "Startup Repair" and is unable to "Reset this PC"
In command prompt that I can open in that cute lil blue metro interface I get following:
1. Disks are there and volumes are healthy(tho volume letters are wrong my os SSD is D: and storage HDD is C: )
2. sfc /scannow tells me that there is a system repair pending which requires reboot blah blah fml
3. dism ran against D: with /Cleanup-Image /RestoreHealth fails with logs containing few errors(among tons of info logs):
*Error creating registry mapping:COMPONENTS - CIfflineRegistry::Init
*Failed to mount the remote registry
*Failed to set the windows directory to 'D:Windows'
4. dism ran with /revertpendingactions gives me same errors in logs as above
that's pretty much it. So is my registry completely screwed?
