I just upgraded from Windows 7 but I suddenly found a problem with my speakers.
I have an Intel DH67GD with Realtek HD Audio. The thing is that now that I upgraded to W10 I only get the option of side speakers in 5.1. My MOBO only has a rear speakers jack so obviously now that I choose 5.1 I can't hear anything behind me and no sound comes from the rear speakers. The current driver I installed is 6.0.1.7541.
I have a set of Z506 and I cant seem to get the two rear speakers to work.I double checked my work and still nothing. I already have windows setup to run in 5.1, and even there the two rears wont play a sound.
View 5 RepliesI can't get surround sound to work on my Windows 10! I have a HDMI Cable going from my gpu (R9 270x) to a projector, and from that an optical audio cable is being sent to my BluRay player with the speakers connected to it... I get sound from the front left and right speakers but thats it, when I go into the playback devices and configure it 5.1 surround sound is not an option.

View 9 RepliesYesterday updated to 10586 my L930 and, as before, the Windows Camera App doesnt record audio on video shooting. I know my phone is affected by the L930 speakerphone mic problem, but until previous version of Windows Camera, audio was recorded at least in the other channels. No surround settings to manage in 10581/6. But after the last two updates, WinCamera is not recording audio. Cortana Works ok. And I cant install Lumia Camera, because it is just showing a "move to Windows Camera" message. The thing is, I already reported this through Insider Comments, but, I need to film video with audio urgently.

View 1 RepliesI have a problem with any Realtek driver since I updated from Windows 8.1 to 10 (x64).On every boot, I have no sound on the rear speakers : the black pin switches automaticaly to "side". I have to reconfigure the black pin to rear every time !
View 9 RepliesI just bought this sound card and installed drivers for Windows 10. (and a crapton of bloatware with UI of Win XP media player...)
Everything works well except one thing: when I change the sound (or mute) I don't see Windows 10 volume bar. I mean these:
The sound itself changes, but there is no indicator. Is there a way to fix that?
I installed Windows 10 Pro on an Intel NUC5i3RYH. In the UEFI settings I enabled Secure Boot, enabled UEFI boot and disabled Legacy Boot, yet in Windows 10 System Information it still says Secure Boot State: Off.
Is there something else I need to do to get Secure Boot working?
I purchased a new NUC6i3SYK last week. I have installed a 250gb Samsung evo 850 M.2 HD and 1 8gb stick of Corsair PC4-17000 DDR4 Ram.
Windows 10 is a fresh purchase and install downloaded direct from MS.
The Nuc worked fine with both the HD and Ram being recognised and W10 installed fine. I loaded the drivers from the Nuc support page and then updated Windows. Everything still fine. Then I proceeded to install other programs and went to bed.
Next morning the PC had crashed and failed to restart. After searching the net for possible cause I decided to reinstall Windows 10. This time i didn't load any drivers and the PC was NOT able to connect to the Internet because I thought one of the updates may have cased the crash.
PC was still unstable and crashed often to the point it was in a BSOD loop. I then reinstalled Windows 10 again and this time I installed the LAN driver only and Windows 10 updated itself. It stayed on for 12 hours and has now gone into a BSOD loop again.
The BSOD error message changes but the main ones seem to be

Throughout this process I have:
Run Memtest86 for approx 20hrs with no errors
Performed a disk check
Installed samsung magician to confirm HD firmware is the current version
Updated the BIOS to current version
Can I use switch user option on power option list or on start menu list ?
View 3 RepliesI am trying to install intel RST (rapid storage Technology) to try to restore my once blazing fast laptop.
Not that it works anyway but the setup keeps asking for .net framework 4.5
But windows comes with .net framework 4.6 & 4.5 and below.
So I tried disabling the windows one and re downloading it and that didnt work, it says already installed. How do I get around this?
System: Intel NUC 54250WYKH
Monitor: Acer T232HL (1920x1080)
OS: Windows 10 Pro (clean install)
When my NUC wakes from sleep mode, existing windows are sized and positioned as if the display resolution had changed to a much lower value (e.g. 1024x768) during sleep but was restored to 1920x1080 after waking. The windows are smaller and positioned in the upper-left corner of the display. This happens with any program I have running when the system goes to sleep (e.g. File Explorer, Visual Studio 2015, etc.).
This problem didn't happen with Win8 on the same computer.
I have a laptop with an intel AC 7265 wireless adapter built in. With the normal Windows 10 driver, AP mode works - which I need to run Connectify.
I upgraded to the latest Intel driver as I was having other issues (Wireless would just disconnect and give me a 1609 address) but the new driver apparently doesn't support AP mode (hosted network support = no).
How I can get AP mode supported again?
I every now and then, but lately too often, get a pop up and my screen goes black..that the intel graphics display was not working but has been restored..then after 20 seconds or so the screen comes back on...BUT, it mentions for Windows 8..I have a new PC with windows 10.

Every time I start off a boot, my intel display driver fails to work. Right after logging in on Windows 10, I can clearly see that the animations are laggy and my computer isn't running on the intel HD 4600 driver. When I open up the device manager I get a yellow triangle next to the driver and I have to disable it and re-enable it, for it to work. This happens after every boot and it's annoying. Everything is up-to-date. And I tried system restore, didn't work. BIOS reset, didn't work. It's a laptop so there is no switching ports and what not.
I have an Acer Aspire E5-571 and am trying to switch from the graphics driver provided by Acer to the newer version for my graphics card available directly from Intel. The card model is HD Graphics 4400 and the CPU is a 4th gen Core i5 so I'm pretty sure this is the correct driver.
I have tried uninstalling the graphics driver through the Windows Device Manager, then rebooting and installing the driver from Intel, but I continually get the message about my computer having a customized driver from the computer manufacturer. It seems that as soon as I uninstall the driver, it is immediately reinstalled by Windows, thereby not giving me the chance to switch to the Intel driver.Is there a way to manually switch to Intel's driver?
I upgraded both my desktop and laptop to Windows 10 recently. The desktop's upgrade went smoothly; NVIDIA already has Windows 10-compatible drivers. However, my laptop with Intel HD Graphics is a different story. I've tried the Dell-certified drivers as well as the latest ones directly from Intel, and neither work.
When I attempt to install the driver, I get an error message stating "This computer does not meet the minimum requirements for installing the software."
I have an ASUS e56u laptop that I updated from Windows 7 to 10. Since the update the -Intel(R) Centrino(R) Wifi N-6150- driver is not starting up. It is the newest version (ver15.12.0.9).
View 2 RepliesRecently i installed Windows 10 Pro on a Laptop Compaq Presario c700 with an Intel Celeron M530 and Intel GMA 965 express graphics card,when the laptop is idle and my screen turns off after 5 minutes,the Automatic System Maintenance starts right away and for the limited graphic chipset i think, the laptop remains unresponsive, the keyboard doesn't work, so I can't do ctrl+alt+del, the mouse pointer also disappears, the only thing i could do is a hard turn off, losing all my job....
View 1 RepliesI updated W7x64 to W10 Pro x64. The machine is WXP generation notebook. My problem is that the Intel PRO/Wireless 3945ABG is not recognized or Network and Sharing Center - Change Adapter Settings does not list this adapter. The Device Manager does show the adapter but with exclamation mark. What I have done so far are uninstalling/reinstalling the adapter and installing the drivers in compatibility mode.

Windows update says unable to update Intel HD graphics drivers. Downloaded win 10 drivers from Intel site and installed. On reboot get continual bsod as above. No restore point since upgrade. View 1 RepliesI installed the new chipset for windows 10 through the msi website but now two of my usb hubs are reporting as unknown devices and when i try to reintstall/update them an error comes up saying "encountered an error trying to install" ( intel(R) c610 series x99 chipset usb enhanced host controller 8D2D), I am using the msi x99a gaming 7 motherboard.

For my mobo, Asus P8Z77-V-Deluxe, I downloaded the official asus chipset drivers.
There is one for Win8.1 x64 and a Beta version for Win10.
The chipset driver for Win8.1 has installed the following:
1. under Device Manager> IDE ATA/ATAPI controller > Inter 7 series/C216 chipset Family SATA AHCI Controller
2. Version 12.8.0.1016 - Date 2013/08/01
If I install the Asus Win10 chipset driver, then instead of the Inel SATA controller, I'll end up having Standard SATA controller by Microsoft.
I'm currently using the Asus beta Win10 chipset driver, however I manually installed the Intel SATA controller which is officially supported on Win8.1 and is digitally signed.
I ran two SSD benchmark test with AS SSD (latest version).
With just the official Win8.1 chipset driver as mentioned above, I'm getting the following results:

Can spot the difference?
I have a PC with Asus P9X79 Deluxe motherboard. It has Intel chipset and Intel BIOS RAID (RSTe) and 6 SATA ports connected to it. The chipset IDE controller lists in Linux as:
Intel Corporation C600/X79 series chipset SATA RAID Controller (rev 06),
and the PCI ID is:
0104: 8086:2826 (rev 06).
My RAID configuration is 2xOCZ-VERTEX4 256GB SSD's in RAID0, as boot drive (C: drive), and 2 (quite old) WDC WD2500KS 250GB disks in RAID0 for extra storage (games, movies etc) (J: drive).
So yesterday I decided to upgrade my Windows 7 Ultimate to Windows 10 Pro. All seemingly went well during the upgrade process, and the system booted fine, and most stuff seemed to work as it should. But after a while when I accessed files on the J: drive I started experiencing random (temporary) freezes.
Then after a while it got more serious and the whole system froze, I had to hit the reset button.
So I rebooted and looked in the event log, I get see tons of errors there saying that the disk has a bad sector.
Then I try using the J-drive again, by viewing some videos there, and it works fine, but after a while there are some freezes and then I see in the event log, that the drive was reset. After this it works again for a while but then another of those resets comes, and freezes everything for a short while (like 30 seconds).
But when I try to copy some large files off the J-drive, another reset comes, and then the event log starts showing a lot of the error messages from before, with "the disk has an bad sector". (I will post screenshots of these errors after I reboot back into Windows).
After this I can't access the J-drive at all, and Windows gives me error messages when I try to.
So, I figure that I might have just got unlucky and the old WDC drive actually developed read errors, although it's strange that it happens exactly when I install Windows 10 (these drives are something like 7 years old).
Well I can't copy the contents off the disk from Windows since it keeps failing as described above, so I boot into Ubuntu Linux from a USB stick, so I can use ntfsclone to image the J-drive to another disk. I start it running expecting that I'll start seeing read errors, but to my surprise there are NONE. It also copies all files off the J-drive without any problems from inside Linux!
So it was after all not the old drive that had failed, but instead Windows 10/Intel had failed me in a big way.
I trawled the web for updated Intel chipset drivers and installed those from the Asus site, but it made no difference at all. I couldn't find any other Intel drivers and when I searched for the RST drivers on Intel's own site, I could only find ones for Windows XP upto Windows 8.1, but none for Windows 10.
For now I'm left with a PC that I can't use, because I can't go back to Windows 7 and Windows 10 is not working with my RAID arrays. I got some spare 2TB disks, and I'm right now copying all the data from the old J-drive (the RAID1 about 500GB) over to this, hopefully I can then work in Win 10, but I am VERY concerned because the same RAID and drivers are used for my master boot drive with the two OCZ SSD's.
I have a Intel AC 7260 WAN card in my laptop which is running Windows 10 x64. After about 10-15 minutes I will lose internet connection while still being connected to the SSID.
I installed the latest Intel AC 7260 drivers from here. Also I ran a complete scan with Malwarebytes which didn't find any threats. This issue started a few days ago.
Anyway of seeing if a application is causing this connection lose issue? It is only happening with this one device.
