Internet Turns Off From Time To Time
Aug 3, 2015
This has never happened to me before upgrading to windows 10. 2-3 times a day my internet connection simply turns off for no reason. If I unplug the ethernet cable and plug it back again it works fine like normal again. This seems pretty weird and I don't know why is it happening.
PS: I have a laptop and my internet actually works fine on my brother's windows 7 laptop even when it turns off for me, so it's windows 10 problem.

As the title states, my computer will turn off the display or go to sleep (not sure of correct terminology) when I go idle for a short period of time. For instance, I get up to get a glass of water and when I come back, the screensaver is up and I need to re-enter my password. This problem arose immediately after the installing of windows 10 on my PC (upgraded from Windows 8.1).
I have already gone to control panel ~> power options but the thing is, even though I've already done that and set the options to "Never turn off display", "Never go to sleep" as shown in the screenshot, my PC still turns off display/sleeps after a short amount of time.

Yesterday I installed Windows 10 Professional on my Acer Aspire V5-573G laptop. I installed the English (US) version even though I live in the Netherlands. When I corrected the time I have set it to the correct timezone (see screenshot) but it has the wrong time connected to it. As seen on the screenshot the time displayed is 21:49 even though when I took it, it was actually 13:49. Off course I could manually change the time, but I was wondering if maybe this is part of some bigger problem and if there is a better way to fix it.

Recently had to dump old Windows 10 and buy a new one. In the old one I could have two web sites from the internet open at the same time. In the new one I cannot.

Today I upgraded my computer to Windows 10, and since then - it's only causing problems. When I boot up my computer, I have internet connection for a few minutes only. Then, the Internet disconnects, probably due to incompatible drivers or missing drivers, or something else regarding.
Although my computer is not connected to the internet, my Android device can still be connected to the same network, using Wi-Fi, which means - the problem is with Windows 10.
I tried to turn off and on the router, and to turn off and on the PC. I tried both actions several times. I also looked at the adapters list, and there discovered that the Ethernet adapter he is disabled, so I re-enable it.. This action only works one time, because then doctor turns off again, and then I must reboot the computer in order to get internet. again.
I also tried to right click the adapter and choose Diagnose. It has a chance to solve the problem with the internet one time per boot - but still then, for a limited time until the internet stops working again.
I also tried to enter the troubleshoot wizard for network adapters, but I don't remember it solved something.
I also tried to install the Broadcom NetLink driver, provided by Dell, and even restart the PC, but it didn't solve the problem.

I upgraded from win 7 ultimate to win 10 pro, but then downgraded back to 7 because my HP laptop was overheating all the time.
My problem is that the WIFI show connected with internet access, but I can't open any website or do any download (tried many browsers, the wifi is workin on my phone, and the driver is installed and rechecked, and did troubleshooting).

I am coming to realize that I have a serious problem spending too much time surfing the web. I wake up in the morning, get on the internet, and instead of spending thirty minutes on my computer, I end up wasting three hours.
There are plug-ins available for browsers, but they're easily disabled when I just don't feel like "being good." I know there are parental control programs, but I believe they are accessible by the administrator by just entering in a password or some such.
I know there are router settings that turn off internet during certain times of the day (e.g., 12a-5a daily), but I am looking for software or a router program that can just turn off all access to the internet for a certain span of time (e.g., thirty minutes), and that can't be disabled. After that set period of time, the web would again be accessible.
Are there any solutions: software, Windows settings, router settings, plugins, scripts (I'm not an advanced PC expert, but I can do basics like modifying the registry)?

I just got Windows 10 today and when I did my own stuff, I get Bad Pool Header error messages. It has happened every time when plugging in game controller or accessing internet.
Is my computer not compatible with Windows 10? Or is it something else?

This weird issue started happening few weeks ago, when I turn on my computer in the morning, the time would still show the time before i turned off the computer at night, this happens a lot. Then i go into settings and check "Set Time automatically" sometimes the time is off by 1 hour.. it happens maybe half of the time . Now that the new upgrades have been installed, I have to log on every time my screen times out. Before the upgrades, if I walked away and came back, moving the mouse or touching a key would bring back the desktop. How can I get back to that status? (By the way, the automatic upgrade hiccuped at 75% and locked the computer so it couldn't be turned on without holding the power key down for over 5 seconds--very inconvenient as I had to go to Geek Squad to get it back since I didn't think of that).

I like Windows 10 but it caused too many problems, so I used the option to revert to Windows 7. This has also meant a return to getting insistent messages wanting me to install Windows 10 again (and on one occasion, an attempt to install it without my permission). My question is, if I do reinstall Windows 10 and run into the same problems, will I have the option to return to Windows 7 a second time?

Why the following command does not work and does not change the time zone to -5?
Since when I set it manually to -5, the following key will be applied the same:
Windows Registry Editor Version 5.00
[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINESYSTEMCurrentControlSetControlTimeZoneInformation]
"TimeZoneKeyName"="Eastern Standard Time"

I am wondering about performance. All seems to be working. Last December I built a new i7-4790k with 512GB SSD and 16 GB memory. I am using Windows 10 Pro...64 bit and all seems fast. My video card is an EVGA GeForce GTX 750 Ti FTW. This should be overkill as I do not play games.
So my problem is that on the web, I seem to get a page at a time, instead of a smooth scroll. I use Firefox, but now I see it is NOT a web issue. I see this in multi page Office 2013 documents and even Quicken. Is there some setting that I am missing that will load all it can and provide smooth scrolling instead of a page at a time brief delay?
Win 10 and my drivers are up to date.

Since I upgraded to Windows 10, many things have been problematic. However, my issue currently is that the Date and Time keep popping up and remain popped up. I am referring to the one which shows and entire month calendar, along with the time, day, etc. It would usually occur upon clicking on the time and date in the lower left hand corner. Whenever I click that to get rid of the expanded version, it shows up again a few seconds later as if I clicked on it.

I recieved a new desktop pc today (hp envy pheonix) I started the first time setup with windows 10 and reached the point where I had to put my email and password in, which I did. I'm having this issue since I upgraded to Win 10: when I click restart, my laptop becomes stuck on the restart screen for ages, even the hard drive doesn't show any signs of activity. Its only after like 15 mins or so the hard drive comes into life and the computer turns off. What could be causing this?Normal shut down and hibernate aren't affected.

I did a clean install to Windows 10 on my new computer on Feb. 12. I also installed Office 2016 at that time. Since then there were a few updates on that day, Feb 12 and two or more on Feb 14th. and then nothing. And nothing at all for Office 2016. Am I missing something or have updates really slowed down.

Win10 Laptop, upgrade from Win7.
Every time I fire up my laptop without exception I cannot connect to the internet via WiFi.
Power settings are High Performance and the operating system doesn't switch off anything to save power. I never hibernate or allow sleep. It's either on or off.
The device and its drivers appear to be good, a list of nearby networks are displayed for me to connect to. On attempting to manually connect I get a message "Cannot Connect at this time"
If I then reboot the laptop it successfully connects to my WiFi network automatically without delay or errors and continues to maintain a connection.
When I shutdown the laptop I have the same problem when it is started, I have to restart it.
This same problem occurs with three different wireless networks I have access to.
Switching off the wireless adapter and back on again doesn't work. Switching off the router and back on again doesn't work, I have to reboot the laptop every time.
On all three routers the routers give the laptop a static IP address. The routers give me a different IP address though.
