View 1 RepliesMy mouse and keyboard (both are USB) don't work, but they are lit up. I tried replugging them, but that doesn't work. I tried using F8, but that doesn't work. I also don't have a PS/2 port, as I am running BootCamp on a Mac. I even tried using the Apple Keyboard.
Before this problem, I had issues with BAD_POOL_HEADER (BSoD) on Windows 10 after updating drivers. Checking if I had any system restores, it didn't have any that I made before the update. So, I reset my computer, with all files intact. Then my problem arises; keyboard and mouse do not work, and I'm pretty much stuck on the login screen.
I use left handed mouse, and swapping left / buttons works OK. I also set the wheel button to be "double click". But the wheel button brings up the context menu instead of double click. If I change to right hand mouse, the wheel button gives double click as expected. how to make the wheel button give double click for left hand mouse?
View 5 RepliesSo I've been having this error for idk at least 2-3months now, happens every now and then, but at least 1x by each windows login.
Think it started by one more recent Cumulative Update probably around December,. I also stumbled on one MS thread and that user reported it around the same time as I first noticed it for the first time. [URL] ....

After upgrading my Dell Inspiron 15 3521 to windows 10, my number keys stopped working.
I have updated the touchpad and keyboard drivers but they are still not working.
I have a Logitech wireless keyboard that uses a USB device. After a update on the 10 of March my keyboard stopped working. I have tried another wireless USB keyboard Mircosoft and a a wired Microsoft keyboard without success.
I have followed a few of the suggested fixes after doing a search without success.
Recently i have upgraded to Windows 10 from Windows 7. Everything was fine the first hour, then all of the sudden the mouse stopped working and it was no where to be seen. The mouse that I use is an old Logitech mouse that has a ball to control the mouse. So, I plugged in another mouse and it was working, but the clicks were backwards.

On my main Windows 10 machine my mechanical keyboard has suddenly stopped working. The keyboard itself works perfectly fine on my other systems and laptops but seems to not work on my main one. The keyboard works on the bios screen and any other part of the start up except from the login screen which is when it seems to completely stop responding. Buttons such as caps lock and also the num-lock stop lighting up the LED's and no keys seem to work. The computer recognizes other keyboards, which is how I'm writing this post, but it seems that my expensive mechanical doesn't work on this specific machine.
The keyboard itself is one that only requires the HID Interface, so you just plug it in and it works and I've even tried uninstalling all keyboard drivers but this is still no dice. I'm not really quite sure what to do, seeing as the keyboard only seems to go wrong on this machine, and other keyboards work fine,
After upgrading to Windows 10 on my sony laptop my mouse will not come back on the screen after I close my laptop and the computer goes to sleep. I have to restart my laptop after every time my computer goes to sleep to get my mouse back on the screen. Just checked DM and the touchpad drivers are current.
View 4 RepliesI installed the Windows 10 beta from Window 7 a few days ago. I installed all the recent updates. Everything was working fine but then yesterday, I watched something on YouTube for about an hour and at that point the mouse became unresponsive. I've tried everything I can think of but nothing works. I've shut down, re-booted, gone into the bios but with no success. Windows 10 will open but the mouse remains unresponsive. I even plugged-in a brand new mouse but that hasn't worked at all.
I have another hard drive with Windows 8.1 from my other PC that has a defective motherboard and out of frustration, I installed the drive from that PC on this one. It works but sometimes I have to re-boot my PC a few times on start-up and then if I leave a browser open for a while without activity, the browser becomes unresponsive and although the mouse cursor works, it is not able to do anything.
I have a Toshiba Satellite laptop. It kept prompting me to upgrade to Windows 10, so I did so. Now the button that disables my touchpad (also the F5 button) is not working. The touchpad will not turn off.
Secondly, when I try to move the cursor, the "right click" menu pops up wherever the cursor lands, and it will not let me type. I have to use an external mouse to click out of the menu, then put the cursor back where I wanted it to land.
How can I make the disable button on my keyboard work again, and how can I fix the mouse so that the right click menu only comes up if I actually right click?
Today my keyboard stopped working, there was a usb error message pop up but i didn't realise what it was about, then then my k70 corsair keyboard stopped working, i tried restarting and doing an sfc scan but nothing changed, then i started looking into device manager but all the drivers were up to date so i tried reinstalling the HID keyboard driver but nothing changed, i then looked into the event viewer and found the issue (attached screenshot)
View 5 RepliesAfter installing windows 10 on my HP laptop PC, some keyboard keys have stopped working. The keys that don't work are: { 'escape' 'g' 'h' 'backspace' }. I am sure it is not a hardware problem because on occasion, all the keys that previously did not work, start working again. In fact, as I am typing this thread, my keys are working correctly. When they stop working, I try to uninstall or update the driver in device manager but that does not work. Keep in mind this started happening after installing Windows 10. I have not had this problem in Windows 8.1.
View 9 RepliesMy PC was working fine until today. Now when I boot up the lights on my razor keyboard illuminate but when it gets past the bios the lights turn off.
When the login screen for w10 comes up I can't login because both the keyboard and mouse are not responding.
They work fine in the bios. I am using a custom built PC (a88x-gamer MOBO) and a corsair m65 mouse with a razer black window 2015 keyboard and running Windows 10.
I got windows 10 installed no problems last week and all was going fine until yesterday. I couldn't get into the store and a couple of apps didn't run. I tried everything to reset the store app and everything so last resort I went for a reset. And its all grand reset no problem, completed everything and reset but now I'm stuck at the lock screen. Obviously the driver's for the mouse ain't installed now because I can't slide the lock screen up to enter the login. what do I do now?
View 2 RepliesAfter I installed Windows 10 from windows 7 I couldn't use my mouse and keyboard it works when I boot up BIOS Utility but when im on windows 10 it does not work. I tried switching usb ports and that didn't work either.
View 9 RepliesI've had a series of problems with Windows 10. Latest (last couple of weeks) Thunderbird and all browers have been gradually getting worse and worse. I decided to restore the system this morning but I get stopped every time by a screen where I am to select a keyboard to use. This is where both the mouse and keyboard don't work.
View 4 RepliesAfter installing asus AISuite 3 my mouse and keyboards stopped working, i can only use them in the BIOS.
I have restarted the PC many times and changed the usb ports but nothing worked.
So i had this virus that was keep sending and redirecting to websites like - get money from this etc. So I wanted to uninstall but i uninstalled something VCI controller driver and now my keyboard, mouse are not working, I am on windows 7. I tried to put disk and try repair but it gave me an error...
View 1 RepliesJust upgraded to Win 10 this morning, everything was smooth except for one thing: my Logitech Bluetooth keyboard and mouse stopped working. Looks like there's an error with the Broadcom Bluetooth USB driver, which is already the latest and greatest according to Windows, which obviously it ain't. Where to get working drivers? Surprisingly there's nothing about Windows 10 on Broadcom's site??
View 1 RepliesMy mouse and keyboard were doing fine with Windows 7, but after I upgraded to Windows 10, my wired mouse and keyboard have been prone to just randomly stop working for a few seconds before working again. When it happens to my keyboard, what key I had been pressing would be typing over and over again, while my mouse is stuck in place (screen is not frozen, videos keep playing, etc). In addition with the windows 10 upgrade, I also got a new graphics card at the same time, but I don't think a graphics/video card could be responsible for this kind of thing, right?
Hardware Information:
Mouse: Corsair Raptor m40
Keyboard: CM Storm QuickFire Rapid
Graphics Card: Sapphire Dual-X R9 270
I have no viruses/malware, and when I go to the devices manager and try to update the "HID-Compliant Mouse" driver online, it seems like it's the recent driver. Same for the keyboard. Therefore, I'm leaning to the Windows 10 to be the culprit, but I'm not too sure.
I have been getting random BSODs, sometimes they happened 3-4 times a day and sometimes I will not have one for 3-4 days. Also sometimes my computer will just freeze, mouse cursor and keyboard not working and I have to hard boot. Also some times when it freezes, a stutter/buzzing noise is head through my headphones. Attached is the files
View 9 RepliesSo I recently downgraded from Win10 to 7 and after everything finished, I can't type in my password or move my mouse! I tried replugging the USBs to no avail and I restarted and booted my pc in safe mode And now I'm stuck on the lock screen in safe mode. How do I fix this?
View 1 Repliesi upgraded windows 8 to windows 10.now the mouse cursor and keyboard function keys is not working
View 3 RepliesI just recently updated. I then created a boot disk and performed a clean install. I use a Razor Black Widow Ultimate keyboard and a Logitech G9x laser mouse. I can reboot, I can shut down and restart and everything seems to work fine. But, after leaving the pc off all night and start in the morning I have no mouse or keyboard. This has happened Saturday morning, Sunday morning and yet again today. Fortunately, I have Acronis backup of my install, so when this happens I just re-image the hard drive and start searching for solutions again.
I have the latest Logitech mouse drivers and running Razor Synapse for keyboard software.
The latest thing I have done is disable fast boot but have not had it shut down long enough to see if it fixes the issue.
