View 1 RepliesIt was there yesterday and now it is missing, along with the battery icon. When I go to the properties panel those options are grayed out. Did i accidentally change a setting or something? Never had these problems with win 7 pro.
View 3 RepliesThe Windows 10 1511 File Explorer icon is missing in taskbar. How can I get it back?
View 1 RepliesMy start button on windows 10 does not do anything and the edge icon is missing from taskbar. I have tried sfc / scanner in powershell and nothing different....
View 8 RepliesCurrently, my OneDrive icon is sitting in the 'hidden icons' section. I have seen pictures of the icon sitting on the taskbar next to Edge, the store, and all the other taskbar icons... how do you get that icon on the taskbar? I have tried all the normal ways I can think of (click and drag onto taskbar, going into taskbar settings, etc) but I can't get it to be removed from the hidden icons area.
View 2 RepliesI just got my first PC today and I'm a bit of noob. I tried to connect to the internet but noticed that there simply was no option to connect to a wireless network. A wired network works fine though. I checked on the internet. I have a gigabyte z170x gaming 7 as my motherboard. URL....
View 1 RepliesI am currently running Windows 8.1 and the Windows 10 icon is missing. I have tried everything that I have seen online to try get it to appear. I am up to date with everything on windows and all the requirements are met. Is there anything else I can try to get it back. Or has the free upgrade expired?

I have been having some weird problem with One Drive and have received several suggestions to look at the settings of One Drive by right clicking on the System Tray One Drive icon. That icon is not in the System Tray. How do I find it?
View 1 RepliesI've only noticed it 'missing' in the last few days. How to get it back?
View 1 RepliesAccording to all I have read there should be a Properties Icon shown when you right click a blank area of the Taskbar in W10. There should also be a Task View icon to the right of the Start icon. I have neither of these. If I right click the Taskbar (blank area) I get 4 options: 1. Show app icons. 2. Show all notification icons. 3. Show touch keyboard button. 4. Show language switcher. That's it but no Properties.

About a week ago an icon for Recycle Bin appeared on my taskbar near the right side. (see the attached image.) Not a pin but a larger icon, just like the one residing on my desktop. In fact, it is identical, having the same right click menu. The only resolution suggested was to set up a new user account. But, as I like my setup and don't want to spend the time to recreate it in a new account, I've resolved to live with the icon.
View 3 RepliesI am still adjusting from IE to Edge and Windows 10. How do I add a Print icon (or something similar) to the taskbar?
View 3 RepliesI have a weird problem, I downloaded the Windows 10 ISO using the Media Creation Tool and now for some reason, the Get Windows 10 icon in the taskbar disappeared so I'm not able to get any alerts when it's ready to install.
View 3 RepliesOne of my pinned items on the taskbar (MusicBee) refuses to act properly. It always shows two instances of the icon when the program is open.
I tried unpinning the items, opening the program from it's folder and then right-click > Pin to taskbar but that creates a duplicate icon as well.
I also checked C:UsersMYNAMEAppDataRoamingMicrosoftInternet ExplorerQuick LaunchUser PinnedTaskBar for duplicate shortcuts but there is only one.
I have both desktop and laptop set up on 10. The desktop has "Search the web and Windows" on the task bar. It's not on the laptop. How do I get it.
View 2 RepliesSo, as soon as I had installed Windows 10 and saw what I presumed was a redundant search icon in the taskbar I deleted it. I assumed search would be in the start menu, but it isn't. Now I have no search icon anywhere. Is there a way to get it back?
View 8 RepliesAs stated in title - no battery icon when not plugged in - and no battery/power icon when plugged in - also no locations icon. I do not care much about the locations one, but the battery one is pretty much vital.
Going into "Turn system icons on / off" - both Power & Location are greyed out - and can not be activated.
I have tried all the regular Windows 7 / 8 fixes - but no luck. I DO have a battery icon in the logon screen - but that is it. I have had this issue since I first downloaded the first preview builds.
This is my machine stats according to System info ....
I have configured 2 languages - english and hebrew and set password in hebrew.
However, when trying to change language in lockscreen to login, i am not able to switch to hebrew.
Tried on screen keyboard via easy access but could not switch to hebrew as well. Therefore, i am not able to login now.
It was working day before yesterday.
The Tray icon only shows the network/Ethernet adapter; the wifi icon is missing. Normally I'd click on the wifi icon to connect to wifi networks; that option is not available. Instead I get "Not Connected - No Connections Available." (If I plug in an Ethernet cable, that message goes away. But I need wifi!)
I head into the "Settings" app, choose "Network & Internet", and the topmost tab is "Airplane Mode"; the "Wifi" tab is missing from the Settings app.
I head into the control panel, network and internet, network connections, change adapter settings, and my Wi-Fi adapter is there, enabled, and full green signal strength.
"Intel(R) Centrino(R) Advanced-N 6235"
Disabled it and reenabled, didn't work. Rebooting (twice) didn't work. Full power reset (press-hand-hold power button for 5 seconds) and restart didn't work.
Ran network troubleshooter, it says there may be an issue with the wifi adapter's device driver; it tried to fix it but failed. So I manually updated the device driver in the Properties dialog; that seemed to actually install a new driver (based on how long it took) but it didn't work.
I wonder if there was a recent auto-update for this device that's causing a problem? Or is there some way behind the scenes to hook up this device (who's driver seems to be working) with the windows 10 app (which isn't recognizing it)?

I have never seen anything like this. I noticed the volume icon was missing so I went to go activate it, but the icons are all switched around. It also says "Audio Service is not running" but I checked under "services" and it clearly is (and I can hear audio!). I even restarted it to be sure.
Here are a few examples: [URL] ....
The little "table and chairs" icon on the task bar that would take me to a window that showed what programs were open "behind the scenes" is missing. How can I get it back?
View 1 RepliesOkay, I was following this tutorial ( How to customize the Start list in Windows 10 ) and noticed that I don't even have the, "Start Menu" tab. Is it supposed to be gone? If so. How am I supposed to customize the start list?
View 5 RepliesNo app icons will appear on the taskbar. They show fine in the Start menu, but are missing on the taskbar. It only includes apps, no installed programs are having this issue. This includes calculator, Edge, Xbox, etc. I tried rebuilding the icon cache from this tutorial, but it still didn't work. I've included a screenshot for reference.
