I have a Lenovo Y470 that I upgraded to Win10 about a month ago. All worked fine until today when the WiFi randomly disconnected. Now I can't even detect my network (yes it is broadcasting the SSID). I can see my neighbors networks.
My other devices can detect and connect to my network fine. I've tried rebooting router, renaming ssid, reinstalling network adapter, deleting the ssid from registry..
I am getting a lot of "network change detected" error with Chrome recently. The page won't load properly ie I get a list of links with no graphics instead of the usual page with graphics. I have to reload and sometimes this works. Other times I have to exit chrome and then it will be fine.
I have already removed auto speed negotiation and changed to 1Gb/s . I am using ethernet connection. I am also using fixed IP outside DHCP range. Also cleared Cache etc . It seems the only way to fix this "temporarily" is to reboot the Modem which is Linksys E4200. By temporarily I mean for a few days , then it starts again .
I never had this problem with Win 8.1 . Happens only after Win 10 update...
After the upgrade I performed a "Reset this PC" with "Keep my files". Periodically the WiFi will die. No networks will appear in the list in the pane which appears when one clicks the icon at the bottom right.The fastest way to fix it is to click the left-most button twice, which seems to disable/re-enable and automatically reconnect to the network. I have checked the router. The problem is not manifesting on another Lenovo laptop upgraded the same way. I am using the latest available network driver.So far I haven't performed a clean install due to the time it will take.
I have a Lenovo Z575 laptop w/ Windows 10. I recently updated to Windows 10 a couple months ago and everything was fine up until recently. I've been having this issue the past couple of days where I try to load up a webpage, it states that connection has timed out, so I use the Troubleshoot Problems option for my wifi, and it gives me the statement "One or more network protocols are missing". I used the "netsh int ip reset" command in the Command Prompt, and that seemed to work at first, but yesterday it happened again, only this time, it seems to pick and choose what pages load.
I ran into something strange this morning when I logged onto my computer: I couldn't connect to my wireless network anymore.
Fairly standard, I thought I'd go reset the router and have it be done with, but then I noticed that my phones were both still fully connected. (2 android phones on different OS versions). So my router itself wasn't have a problem, and I was still receiving internet.
I restarted my computer, as any good human being does, and the problem persisted. I then 'forgot the network' and restarted. Typing in my password again and trying to connect, didn't work.
I then remembered I had recently updated Windows 10 #sillyme (Not like I had a choice anyway x_x) So I thought maybe the driver had been updated. Nope. I even tried uninstalling the driver anyway and restarting. Nothing changed.
OK, so then maybe it's my hardware that's going bad? Luckily I have a dual boot So I booted up Ubuntu instead of windows and bam, everything is working perfectly. Absolutely no problems with connecting to my network.
Can't connect to WiFi network. I've already tried: restarting computer, forgetting the network, and uninstalling the driver. Also, it's not hardware as I can connect on the same machine using a different OS.
I just installed Windows 10 upgrade to my HP laptop over Win 7. Every thing is fine but some thing strange happened.

I can access my WiFi network from my desktop and my phone, but not from my HP laptop. Device Manager shows that my network adapter is Intel Centrino. There is, however, an exclamation mark over "Unknown Device" which needs a driver that Win 10 could not provide.

Whats going on with my tablet (WinBook). I've installed W10 few weeks ago since then never had any problems with it, but today I noticed I cannot connect to wifi. it's gone from Network settings, if I open "connection" icon on task bar I only see Airplane mode..Network adapter from Device manager is also gone. So I installed windows 10 and everything was fine until recently when my computer suddenly disconnected from the wifi network in my house. I've tried everything and nothing working, i even tried using the the Ethernet cable and it worked but as soon as I disconnect the cable it'll have no wifi access. It's not my wifi or router because My phone and other things connect and work fine. My network just won't show up on the list.
I have just bought a new windows 10 machine. It finds my home WIFI but fails to connect with the message "Can't connect to this network".

My first experience with Windows 10 has been extremely frustrating and wasted a lot of time. I see that this is also a very common problem. Equally frustrating is the lack of diagnostic from Windows...I appear to have no way of knowing why the connection failed (hence why I have shown the router log).
I have a network that has 3 laptops running Win 10. 2 of the computers (haven't checked the third yet) indicate they are on the same network SSID. One computer can print from the printers on the network.
The second laptop had the same printers and was able to print to them prior to Win 10. Now the SSID is the same as the first computer yet it can't print nor can it see any printers oe devices on the network!
I have a Compaq CQ61-410 Notebook. After upgrading to Windows 10 I no longer have WiFi capabilities. In Windows - Settings - Network & Internet I do not have a WiFi option listed. However, if I go to Control Panel - Network and Internet - Network Connections I see my wireless service listed. I have confirmed that I have the correct drivers loaded - Qualcomm Atheros. Ok so got a new usb WiFi adapter. I installed the driver first which I downloaded on my phone then transferred to my pc via usb cable. Have tried reinstalling multiple times, still won't work. I'm guessing the problem is there's no win 10 drivers for it. NOTE: I did have a old usb adapter working with no driver before but not even that's working even with drivers uninstalled. The new adapter shows up in device manager with a problem indicated with a code 10.But not in network devices.
My laptop pulled down the latest Technology Preview a few days ago and now my Wi-Fi is totally messed up. I cannot even open the network settings from the task bar icon.

Problem: Every once in a while, I'll lose my internet connection. When I click the wifi icon on the taskbar, there will be no networks listed. The only way to fix the problem is to go the Device Manager, disable the Ralink Wi-Fi Adapter and then re-enable it. This fixes the problem anywhere from a of couple minutes to a couple of hours, then it happens again.
Solutions I've tried: I've tried doing a system restore but it failed and there are no more restore points. I've tried uninstalling the Ralink driver, downloading a new copy, and reinstalling it.

since some days my wifi has stopped working.If I click on Wifi icon it shows only ONE (max two) NETWORK:And I live in a building with 20+ networks, as you can see from WiFi Analyzer (I'm the red one on the right).If I deactive/reactive Wifi with fn+f12, it goes to Airplane mode and to Wifi mode again and it eventually shows all the networks/My Wifi is on the top. If it's saved, Windows connects to it and then it drops the connection; if it's not saved and I try to connect, it says "You're not able to connect to this network".The fun fact is that after some seconds every network disappear and only one is showed (probably the neighbour one..I dunno).

I tried different settings too/I changed channel, I set 802.11g on my router, APSD off on the router.I set "Magic packet off, ad hoc QoS off, U-APSD off, fat channel off,incremental throughput off, HT mode off" on the card setting without success. Nothing chaned.The Hardware test doesn't detect any failure. If I go close to the router, it shows my network with full power connection and it connects to it. Then I go back to my bedroom (probably 3/4 meters far), it KEEPS the connection for 30/40min and It drops the connection and I can't reconnect to it anymore. It always worked perfectly in my room in these months (I bought it in March 2015), so the distance is not a problem, I'm 6/7m far from the router.In this case It shows my Network (Connected) and the neighbour network...and the other 20+ networks???
The only way I have is USB tethering with my Nexus 5.I tried the Wifi connection on Elementary Freya (Ubuntu linux based OS) and it shows 20+ networks available on the list. It has not connection problem with my Wifi, but sometimes it stops working, the webpages stop loading and I must reboot Wifi to reconnect to it (usually after 30/40min using it).What's the problem? Every time I try to join a wifi network, my computer crash within a few seconds. It says "system service exception" igdkmd64.sys in the bsod. So I just cant connect to the internet anymore.. im on my phone right now.

I ran into an issue with the installation disc not detecting the hard drive (ie, no hard drive is listed when the screen appears to select the hard drive to install Windows on).
I've tried various drivers (latest from HP and Intel website, OEM OS installation discs etc) with no luck.. at the very least, the Windows 7 driver from HP's website for that laptop should work for installing Windows 7- same results, does not detect hard drive.
At this point I'm wondering if maybe it's a BIOS setting that's causing this? I don't recall changing anything in the BIOS when I last installed Windows (which was v8), but it was awhile ago, so can't be certain.
Instead of doing an upgrade of Windows in place, I am trying to do a install from the ISO using EasyBCD.The ISO launches fine as the setup starts but Windows refuses to see my HDD.I have an Elitebook 9470 laptop.
It uses the Intel storage drivers for AHCI and the HDD itself (Intel SSD)Bios is set to use UEFI Hybrid (With CSM).
BIOS can not use UEFI (without CSM) mode as the system does not boot.Tested using Legacy mode and still unable to see HDD. BIOS version is F60 (Jan 2015) and is the latest.

I have tried both front and rear inputs and still no success. My PC won't recognize my headphones being plugged in. They're headphones with a USB and 2 jacks (speakers and mic), and when plugged in the green light is active on the headphones showing their working/have power. Changing the connector to a solo jack, I can plug it into my PS4 / iPhone and it works fine. However on my PC it doesn't work, despite it working completely fine for 2 weeks until 2 days ago.
I've tried going to device manager and updating drivers, and I've also tried managing audio settings and making it my default device but the PC is not picking up the headphones exist, even after ticking Show Disabled Devices. In device managers, the headphones aren't under "Sound, video and game controllers", "Audio inputs and outputs", or "Unknown Devices" (as I have no Unknown Devices menu). I do not have RealTek Audio Manager. These are the solutions that worked for most people but not myself.
The events that led to this error was last night I was trying to watch a film but my TV (which is my monitor) speakers weren't working. After updating sound drivers and realising they were for some reason disabled, I re-enabled them and they worked fine. However, disabling them again does not fix the problem. The PC does not pick up the headphones at all, mic or sound. I do believe that it is an issue with the newest drivers I installed after upgrading to Windows 10 three days ago. The headphones worked fine on Windows 10, but I believe the issue is with the new drivers I installed to make my TV speakers work.
