Since today morning I am not able to login to my Win10 PC. It starts normal until the lock Screen appears. The clock in the lock Screen is working, so everything seems to be ok. But the System does not react on any keyboard or mouse Input.
The Keyboard is working perfectly in the BOOT Menue (after F2 during Startup). So I am quite sure that this is not a hardware problem.
So I recently downgraded from Win10 to 7 and after everything finished, I can't type in my password or move my mouse! I tried replugging the USBs to no avail and I restarted and booted my pc in safe mode And now I'm stuck on the lock screen in safe mode. How do I fix this?

When I was using Windows-7(work place PC), I was able to select the menu button (lower-left) and select 'Lock Screen' menu from the shutdown sub-menu. I recently received a new desktop PC which is Windows-10, but I found Windowns 10 doesn't have such 'lock-screen' menu that I can choose with my mouse. So the only way I can lock the screen is using Window-L button which is ok when I'm at work. But when I'm remotely logged in from my home, if I press Window-L keys, my home notebook is screen locked, not my work place Desktop.
Yesterday I set my Bulgarian keyboard layout to be the default one and my German to be the secondary. Then I shut down and today when I tried to log in, only the Bulgarian layout was enabled (Cyrillic letters) and I can't switch to the German layout (Latin letters). You guessed it - my password uses Latin chars . The key combinations Alt+Shift or Win+Space are not working.
Password reset works only with pre-made passdisk or something like that (I haven't set one). I tried going to Troubleshoot mode, but couldn't find anything useful there yet. Running the command prompt troubleshooting option gave me the opportunity to change the keyboard layout, enter my password and use the cmd prompt. There I tried to use the "control" command to set the keyboard layouts but it doesn't recognise the "control" command. Maybe I have to navigate somewhere else (default was system32).
I got windows 10 installed no problems last week and all was going fine until yesterday. I couldn't get into the store and a couple of apps didn't run. I tried everything to reset the store app and everything so last resort I went for a reset. And its all grand reset no problem, completed everything and reset but now I'm stuck at the lock screen. Obviously the driver's for the mouse ain't installed now because I can't slide the lock screen up to enter the login. what do I do now?

Came back and my computer was trying to rapair itself... said could not reboot windows is checking for a solution.. I let it go.. it said no solution found. And just turned off..So I restarted spammed f8. Tried to start in safemode.
Got to password screen and mouse and keyboard won't work...So I restart, spam f8 again. I select repair windows this time, cancel the repair process then clicm.advanced options. Try to look at restore points... and it says none exist... that is bs. I did restore points twice a week. when. I try to start normally it loads her goes to a blue screen with tons of writing and letters and errorrs but no time to read any...

View 1 RepliesRecently I upgraded from Windows 8.1 to Windows 10 however this caused several issues with my laptop so I reversed the upgrade back to 8.1. My Kaspersky AntiVirus would then not work leaving just a blank logo on my desktop. I tried to uninstall kaspersky using the uninstall programme available on their website but upon restart I can no longer get past the login screen as I can't use my keyboard or mouse to enter my password. I can enter a screen that allows me to select safe mode but again I can't enter my password. I have a Dell restore USB but this will not work. I have tried USB mouse and keyboard but no luck either. I cannot preform a restore at all.
View 1 Replieslately I have a really weird bug. Windows 10 randomly adds US English to my keyboard inputs. But when I go into the language input menu, US english is not there. The screenshot below will show you exactly what I mean, and this is really annoying, cause I am living in UK and I want to use the UK layout not the US.
View 9 RepliesI have followed several similar threads and their fixes for this problem with no result. After downloading the Win 10 upgrade, my system then said "loading updates". Then it restarted with a blue login screen saying "Welcome Back!" And a box to enter my password. The cursor is blinking in the box, but neither my mouse or keyboard works.
I have hard booted several times since the ctrl+alt+delete does not work. I am also not able to access safe mode as none of the "F" keys work during boot up.
I have tried the following:
1. Unplugged all USB devices except keyboard.
2. Turning off internet at the router.
I have a Dell desktop, and upgraded from Windows 7, with a Netgear router/modem. The only way I can get the system to move is if I power off at the main switch after booting up which goes into bios and disc diagnostics, but I don't know enough about computers to know what to do there!
Installed Windows 10 on HP Pavillion p7-1262 about 2 weeks ago. Worked fine up until last Friday, screen went black, no keyboard entry, no mouse cursor. Can't enter BIOS. Whats wrong?
View 3 RepliesTried using DDU and it asked to enter safe mode, went to safe mode, it then said "insert bootable media" and I tried to select it from BIOS but I could never get to BIOS because my mouse and keyboard controls were dead. Nothing I've done (plugging, unplugging) has fixed this issue. How to fix this.

View 1 RepliesI have a new problem, and it is with keyboard input. I have to type very slowly to get my keystrokes to actually get entered. I need to hold down each key for at least one full second or press the key several times to type each keystroke. This occurs on all four keyboards I tried including a wireless Logitech that I'm using to type this. PC is Dell 560, OS Windows 10 Home. The PC is practically useless like this.
View 4 RepliesI'm using 2 languages to type. Mostly English but when chatting to my parents in Skype for example, I switch to Bulgarian (Cyrillic Alphabet) keyboard input.
Back in Windows 7 if I was to open an application (Skype for example) and switch to Bulgarian keyboard I could type in Bulgarian, but if I was to open a web browser for example, thus minimizing Skype, I would continue to type in English without the need to switch between languages. Simply put Windows 7 would remember what language input I have switched to in a certain application and would automatically switch to it.
Now since installing Windows 10 every time I switch to Bulgarian, the input for every single application changes to Bulgarian, and if I was to switch back to English then they all change to English input.
So... is there an option somewhere to prevent this from happening?
I use left handed mouse, and swapping left / buttons works OK. I also set the wheel button to be "double click". But the wheel button brings up the context menu instead of double click. If I change to right hand mouse, the wheel button gives double click as expected. how to make the wheel button give double click for left hand mouse?
View 5 RepliesOkay, so I take blame for accidentally messing up my Windows 10. My NVIDIA graphics card wasn't working and wasn't letting me install my drivers. Well that aside, now that I installed older Drivers Windows 10 registers something horribly wrong. It wants to do a system repair. Okay, good, fine with me. But then when it gets to the page for me to select a keyboard layout, I have no mouse and my keyboard doesn't work either.
Anytime I press a button on them their backlights turn on, but then turn back off when I don't do anything with them.
I can't afford to get a new OS, I have no DVD Drive so I definitely can't do anything that requires a disk. What do I do?
since I installed windows 10, every time I power-OFF, the number lock closes. That did not happen with Windows 7. At first, I activated the Num Lock every time I booted. Now, even when the Num Lock light is ON, the number pad is inactive. I wish to have the Num lock ON at all times, like with Windows 7.

After upgrading to win 10 from win 7 HP the screen locks up for (approx 4 seconds) after every mouse click. i have just reinstalled win 7 and everything is fine again should i re-download? and can i make a bootable ISO from the ESD file to do a clean install?
View 1 RepliesI just bought this computer a few weeks ago and this problem has been persistent since I've gotten it. sometimes when I login, the screen is black or partially black, the rectangle for my pin is still visible however. My screen is touchscreen. I can "erase" the black with my finger and the normal login screen appear underneath. Inputting my pin is no problem and after login I don't see this problem anywhere else.

it then locks the keyboard.........if have factory reset back to 8.1 and upgraded to 10 with a new log in.....works ok, log into microsoft account and the keyboard locks..
EDIT microsoft account also locks keyboard in W8.1 after first typing
I updated a laptop from Windows 7 Pro to Windows 10 Pro. Everything worked fine, i made the update with a self created install disk. I already was logged in a few times but now Windows does not accept any passwords when i want to log in. There are three accounts but no one works.
I enter the password, then i press Enter and ....nothing happens. I can then click in the password field again and i can enter additional letters and numbers but when i press Enter or Return, nothing happens. I also tried the builtin onscreen keyboard but also there..i enter a passwort press enter and nothing happens.
There is also no message that the password is wrong or something. There is just no reaction whatever i enter and whatever I do.
I have been installing windows 10 all went okay, but then screen went blank and the floating "input not supported" was showing.
