Loses Internet Connection Halfway Through Downloading Game
Jan 26, 2016
I keep losing my connection when I'm trying to download this game.
When it is connected it says Connected, Secured.
Then later randomly in the middle of the download I'm still connected to the WiFi but it says no internet.
I can fix it bit disconnecting and then reconnecting to it but then I have to restart my download.

This is all after upgrading from Windows 7 three days ago.
After two days of enjoying Windows 10, my internet just started going out. The pc would freeze for a sec and then id get a red x in the bottom and my wifi would be gone. In device manager, it always shows my wifi network adapter operation was unsuccessful. I switched to a different adapter and installed the latest drivers, which say are compatible with windows 10, and the same issue still happens. I also tried some CMD command I found online related to old VPNs and that didn't work.
Usually it only fixes if i unplug and replug the adapter. Disabling and enabling doesn't work. I repaired winsock and renewed tcp/ icp and that didn't work.. What can I do? I cant go 20 minutes without losing internet.

But I'm currently browsing the internet and typing to you.
In fact - I can do virtually everything (League; Steam; Skype; etc) except use any OS feature that requires logging in -
e.g. Mail, User Accounts, Shop, etc. Then it says something along the lines of "Cannot use this service without an internet connection - please connect and try again." When I run Network Diagnostics as the prompt recommends - it says I am connected and cannot find a problem.
It doesn't always happen - but it seems to be determined on start-up. If I restart it now it might be working next launch - but 75% of the time it will encounter the same issue. It's been happening for months now but I've sort of gotten used to using my phone to check my emails - but I've now encountered an issue with one of my hard drives being unable to be searched (tried indexing, etc) and the only step I've found that I haven't tried says it could be a corrupted user account - but I cannot update my user account without "connecting to the internet". -_-
The system is up to date. No driver updates available.

Working on desktop Lenova computer. I was updating the computer drivers when one of the drivers froze, I click on cancel. I tried the internet and it stated No Internet Connection. I went into Device manager and did the unthinkable. I deleted everything inside the Network Adapters, including the words Network Adapters. In other words, no Network Adapters are showing in Device Manager.
First, I would like to know how can I replace the words Network Adapters in the Device Manager menu, and download the two adapters that were there in the beginning. Lastly, how to get back the Internet to work again.

When I am downloading something with utorrent the memory usage in task manager slowly creeps to 100% and makes my computer unusable and even if I shut down utorrent the memory usage does not change and I have to restart my PC. Same goes for browsing facebook or any other sites. Is there a solution to this? I really don't want to reinstall my system.

I am having a big problem with my internet connection going down since I upgraded to Windows 10. It went down 4 times in the last hour and having to reboot to get it back is not the solution. Device Manager shows I have a Broadcom Netlink (TM) Gigabit Ethernet adapter. I have tried using the software update link for the adapter and it says I have the latest software but I am not sure if that is correct and I don't have a clue what driver I would need to update the adapter. When my internet connection goes down my WIFI connection is fine and I can connect to the internet with my mobile devices. My current driver according to device manager is 15.6.1.2

Since I downloaded windows 10 I keep getting no internet connection before I log on. I called my internet provider and she had me checking a lot of things before she had me to type Device Manager in my search bar and look under networking to see if anything was off. Both my Ralink RT 3290 802.11 bgn Wifi Adapter and my Realtek PCle GBE Famili Controller had a yellow triangle with an exclamation mark in the middle beside them. She had me to right click on them to disable them, then go back and right click again to enable them. My internet connection came back but it keeps losing connection about once a week. I didn't have this problem before the download. This is a HP Desktop and I am connected wireless.

I was having trouble logging into Windows 10. It would not accept my password. I discovered that I was having an issue with a network cable and had lost contact with the internet. Once I replaced the faulty cable, things are working fine. However, I realized that I might have an internet service outage for any number of reasons, and then I would not be able to do any work locally. use my computer for lots of things that don't require internet connectivity. Music and video production, word processing, etc. how can I access my system if I have an internet connection issue?

So I installed Windows 10 3 days ago via the USB provided by Microsoft through purchase on their online store. Since the install I have found that my WiFi connection, on startup, will work for maybe 2 minutes before dropping down to "Limited" and occasionally disconnecting entirely.
My PC is custom built and has worked perfectly fine for the almost 2 years I've had it. I've tried everything from resetting the router, having my ISP replace the router, uninstalling my Wireless Adapter from the Device Manager tool, installing the latest driver updates (Windows 8 for Rosewill RNX-N250PCe) and even running the ipconfig release/renew (which didn't release for some reason.)

I updated from windows 7 to windows 10 yesterday and ever since I haven't been able to connect to the internet. I always get a message that pops up that says XFast LAN Driver Failed and it says it needs to be re-installed. It took me ages just to get it to uninstall but now it won't let me reinstall the XFast LAN Driver from my ASUS MOBO driver disk. I've tried everything to get the internet to work properly but with no successful results.

I recently got the media creation tool for windows 10 and did make an ISO file so i can install windows 10 on my other laptop. But recently my internet is slow, a youtube video 5 min at 240p waiting 2-3 mins to be able to load without buffering...
So i was going to ask, is it possible, since i got the ISO file, to install windows 10 without internet connection ? I don't think there is anything additional to download since i got the iso file ready up, which is basically the windows ?

I upgraded my ageing Dell Inspiron 530 desktop PC this morning from Win7 Ultimate to Win10 Pro. The PC is connected to the router via ethernet cable. All seems fine in terms of the OS, but I have no internet access. I know the router's OK as my other devices are fine. When I run the troubleshooter it flags up "There may be a problem with the driver for the Local Area Adapter".Digging further, it seems the issue is "Windows couldn't automatically bind the IP protocol stack to the network adapter"
Looking at Services, I found the Wired AutoConfig and WLAN AutoConfig services weren't running were set to Manual. I changed these to Automatic and rebooted, but still no joy.The network adapter is an Intel 82652V-2 10/100 and Device Manager says it's working normally and the driver is up to date.

So, my wireless router went out on me yesterday during a thunderstorm, which I replaced today. My desktop will not connect to the wireless network at all. I have it connected right now, through my cellphone's hot spot. Also, I can connect my phone to the wireless network as well as a different desktop and get internet access, which suggests something wrong with this desktop, I would imagine.
Network Adapters:
ASUS PCE-N10 11n Wireless LAN PCI-E Card
Broadcom NetLink (TM) Gigabit Ethernet
I'm sure some additional information may be needed but I'm not sure what you would need, so I'll gladly provide what I can if needed.

I've been running Windows 10 on my PC for a few months now. I upgraded from Windows 7 and absolutely love it! However, I am having an issue. When I use my PC on a normal basis, Everything is good. Internet connection is perfectly stable, no problems. But ALWAYS if I restart my pc, and SOMETIMES when I put it to sleep, when my computer turns back on, my internet connection can't be detected. I have to unplug it for about 5-10 seconds and do a full reboot in order for my internet connection to be detected by my pc. None of my other devices have this issue. I have an xbox one, Smart tv, my phone, laptops, etc. connected and none of them have the same issue.

Why do I constatnly lose my internet connection since upgrading to Windows 10? Did not have this problem with Windows 7 and Century Link. Once it is gone, cannot get it to reconnect. Keep getting a reset error message each time when running the diagnostics. If I can't resolve this soon, will be going back to Windows 7!!

Contacted my provider Talktalk, was sent latest router, can connect with mobile wireless to router, can connect with laptop (Windows 7) hard wired, cannot connect with my desktop (hard wired) on which windows 10 is down loaded.
Have checked cable to desktop by using cable with laptop.

Just upgraded to Windows 10, no internet connection. Had no problems before on 8.1.
No network adapters are recognized (Bluetooth, Ethernet, WLAN). Have Atheros Qualcomm AR9485WB.
Device manager says all is OK, but PC settings say no network adapters detected.
I tried to uninstall/install multiple versions of drivers but nothing works.

I have a Lenovo Yoga Tablet 2-1051F running Windows 10. I have a number of modern apps that refuse to open unless I am actively connected to the internet. Desktop (or legacy) apps open fine in airplane mode, but anything downloaded from the Windows Store will not. This even includes built-in apps such as calculator (?).
So far, I have tried:
1. running "sfc /scannow" in Command Prompt
2. running "WSReset.exe"
3. updating all drivers from lenovo
I have tried to recreate it on my desktop (also running Windows 10) by unplugging my ethernet cable and then opening various apps, and it functions as expected - they will open and perform everything normally, unless specifically needing the internet.
Don't get me wrong, I understand that certain apps require Internet Access (Hulu or Netflix come to mind). However, for even calculator to not open without internet seems wrong.

I just upgraded to Windows 10 on my Lenovo ThinkPad. I like the new features but it seems something is "blocking" my internet connection. After reboot, I can access the internet for a couple of minutes before the connection is lost again.
I am still connected to my wireless network. All ping requests fail. ipconfig/release -> ipconfig/renew does not restore the connection.

Clean W10pro installation from scratch. No upgrade. Quad Core intel @ 3.??ghz with 4GB on an intel board. Basic workhorse machine. Windows is up to date and nothing else has been installed to the machine. No changes to OS from defaults upon installation. Device Manager shows all attached devices are working properly. USB Wireless card connects to the access point just fine.
ICS is enabled on this adapter and shows as "shared". Ethernet adapter is auto-configured by ICS (IP and SUBNET). This adapter displays as "Unidentified Network" with or without cable connected. Under Status/Details: NO gateway. NO DNS servers.
Client Computer: same basic machine as above. Everything updated and functional.Ethernet adapter wired with standard ethernet cable to Host. (All this gear is modern and will not require hardline crossover)Ethernet adapter is set to obtain IP/DNS automatically.Under Status/Detail IP Address is 192.168.137.124 (DNS is working properly)Ping 192.168.137.1 successful without errors.
I disabled the firewalls. No improvement. Reset everything to defaults. Tried a "Bridged Connection" same "No Internet Access" results. In the end everything works except no internet access across the two adapters in the Host machine and there should be.
