Lost Edge After Update
Mar 4, 2016I lost Microsoft after an update. How to get it back. My start menu stopped working too but I am OK with "classic shell" for now.

Lost Swipe From Edge Gestures After Update On Surface Pro 2
Aug 9, 2015I've been unable to find a way around this, but since updating to the 8/05 Win 10 update, I've lost the Action Center (Swipe from right edge) and open programs (Swipe from left edge) gestures on my Surface Pro 2. I've uninstalled the update and regained the gestures, but once it installs again, the same issue presents again. I haven't found a place to enable/disable gestures like these. This is repeatable each time I uninstall and reinstall the update.

But also to add I imported Google Bookmarks from my phone into the bookmarks also. So I had all my bookmarks in one place. Aug 21, 2015I recently updated my win 8.1 laptop to win 10. Then for the first few times that I used this computer I noticed that my files were hidden in the windows.old folder. So I copied them to their respective libraries and moved on.
Then earlier this morning I turned on my laptop to see some updates happening. After it happened, I saw my computer apps go back, and some of my customization settings. However, my library files are nowhere to be found (documents, images, videos, sounds). How to recover?

Jan 5, 2016i was using Windows 10 Enterprise . And from automatic update, i lost my most important files . But , i have now recovered them . Now, the problem is that only two apps i.e. Cortana and Microsoft Edge are coming . And i can't find store,outlook,news and other apps etc .

Nov 21, 2015First of all I'll make a complaint. I am very disappointed with Windows 10. It's been one of the worst Windows ever made and sooner or later I will switch from Windows to some normal OS sofware. I have been let down too many times by it (not just 10 but all of the former as well) and I decided it's simply not worth my time, money and nerves.
Today Windows decided to do an upgrade on my computer and when I turned it on it said it was preparing something. After the welcome screen, I realized all my documents on the desktop have been missing, including majority of the shortcuts.
All the settings have been reverted, including theme, desktop image, default programs. In short, there's not much left untouched.
What's utterly intolerable it somehow deleted ALL my personal documents, pictures, literally EVERYTHING is lost. I just can't put up with it anymore. There were several files I need for my work, everything is simply gone.

Dec 11, 2015on a no-problem notebook of a Relative, win ran an update last night at 4 and came up with this:Most App-Links are gone, Apps still there.But Firefox, Outlook and others seem completely reset as if freshly installed, no accounts set f.e.Win demands hardware driver installation for Wifi.And a bunch of personal files on the Desktop are gone.

Nov 13, 2015I've updated 3 of my PCs with the fall update and I can't seem to get Edge to sync favorites. I imported favorites on the first PC, and the other two onyl show the option to import from another browser on the favorites bar. All three are signed in under the same MS account and set to sync under settings. I'm assuming that the favorites bar should just start sync.

Nov 30, 2015MS Edge (used rarely!!) has stopped working since the November update has been installed. Oddly it works if I point it directly to a proxy (we use a bluecoat appliance at work) but if I don't, the packets don't even hit our site FWs. If I stop the windows FW service then it works perfectly and the packets(requests) are sent directly to our site FWs as expected and I can see it all on the FW tracker.IE and chrome are not effected and work fine either way.
We're not deploying windows 10 right now so it's not causing a major problem, what could be the issue. Obviously leaving the windows FW service stopped and disabled is not favourable for when clients are not on the LAN.

Aug 17, 2015So my Surface 3 updated itself yesterday, and when I woke up today the majority of the icons I had pinned to my taskbar and my start menu are gone. I've been able to find and pin programmes like "Weather" back to the start menu, but others have completely disappeared, most frustrating of all is Edge.
I can open Edge if I open Cortana and select a news item. When I do that Edge opens full screen, but doesn't deposit an icon on the task bar, so I can't select it. Also, when I swipe in from the left or choose Task View, Edge does not show as an available programme. Changing in and out of tablet mode does nothing.
Also, my PC is just fine.
Browser/Email :: Microsoft Edge Favorites Not In Default Folder But Available In Edge
Dec 16, 2015Since installing the November Windows 10 update (11/17/15) none of my favorites are being stored in the default Edge folder. While in Edge the favorites are available but when I go to the default folder they are not listed. Is there another location they may be being saved or has my default location somehow been changed? My AppData folder shows a creation date of 11/17/15 with no modifications being made in favorites since that date.
