Lost The APP Store
Sep 9, 2015Not shure what I did I can no longer find the app store for win10. When I click on the store button all I get now is the HP store.?

Jan 15, 2016All was well till 2 days ago, when I no longer had icons or Cortana. Tried to recover these using "powershell" Was only able to recover some icons, but not all. Can access some of my apps indirectly, but have lost many. Do not even have access to the app store anymore.

Lost All Windows Apps Including Store - No Restore Point To Access
Aug 3, 2015I noticed a folder named" Windows.migrated" and I deleted in error thinking it wasn't necessary anymore. This was after i upgraded from windows 8 to 8.1 to 10. Unfortunately it caused ALL my store apps including the default ones to be deleted. I'm a bit lost of what to do now. I don't have a restore point to access.

Feb 10, 2016I am having some trouble getting the default store apps to work. As for the store itself, it used to briefly show the splash then crash. Now it is just an unknown file type that doesn't do anything when clicked. I have tried some of the more common fixes, like the powershell re-register scripts, but none work, all returning errors of one kind or another. At this point, would it just be easier to "Reset this PC", or is there another fix I may not have tried?

Oct 18, 2015why some of my folders are missing now from explorer and all windows apps/file manager...BUT I can see them from Command Line and also some of the folders include for instance videos and I can see the videos there...and in the file properties I can see the real folder too...but it can't be accessed anywhere else.I have a V:Home Videos folder. It doesn't show anywhere in Windows EXCEPT when I go to 'Videos' and pick a video file and see in properties: V:Home Videos. And the video plays fine and all; just can't access it from anywhere else! (Except command line).I have checked the folder permissions and all, don't seem to have a problem there. Show hidden files is on and such.

Aug 17, 2015My upgrade (laptop) went smoothly. However, a friend upgraded her computer and said her pictures are lost. I tried talking her through searching for them, and she said the ones that appear are 0 bytes in size. Of course, she should have backed up her files beforehand, but she's past that point.
If she rolls back to 7, might she get her pix back? If she rolls back to 7, can she reupgrade to 10?

Lost Desktop Files?
Jul 30, 2015I just moved to another country and forgot my extra hard drive, so I didn't back up my files before upgrading to Windows 10. The installation went fine. After the install was done, I tested out a number of programs with no problems. Satisfied, I migrated my old desktop files over (for some reason Window's decided to not migrate them on its own). Upon restarting my computer for updates, I noticed my desktop had reverted back to what Windows 10 had originally set it up has, with little more than recycle bin and a few really random programs shortcutted. Curious as to where it migrated my old desktop files, I began to search ... nothing in my old user settings desktop file ... the recently found links all display the message 'file may have been deleted or moved' ... windows search turns up nothing for any file I had on the desktop. I am closing in beyond afraid that I've lost all of the files on my desktop in some glitch or migration error.

Jan 25, 2016OK, 2 days before I upgraded to Windows10 my DVD was working. I know because I was burning disc's. After I upgraded, I now only have 1 DVD drive instead of the 2 I had before. I went into my BIOS and it only see's the one drive.
I've never heard of an operating system that could cause the BIOS to 'not see' a drive. Is that possible? I put a new SATA cable on and that made no difference. Or is it just a coincidence that my mobo no longer see's it? I really don't want to uninstall 10 just to find out, it takes to long to put it on.
