My MSi laptop is stuck in the aptio setup utility and if i turn my laptop off or try to exit, it will return to the same screen. It has been like this since i updated it to windows 10.
View 2 RepliesI have been trying for a full week now, to no avail. Whenever I apply the update, it goes to the "Restarting" screen...and gets stuck there indefinitely. Even after a few hours, it's still on that screen. So ultimately I have to force shutdown my PC (after which I can use it as per normal). I also do not believe I have any malware on my PC (have scanned multiple times with Kaspersky just to be sure). I had updated to Windows 8 > 8.1 > 10 on this same PC before and never faced a single issue. I also never mess around much with default system settings.
View 4 RepliesDuring the week i had the windows 10 upgrade install onto my Toshiba Satellite laptop that was running Windows 7. Windows 10 did open but then crashed as it was booting up stuck in an error reboot loop. So i tried to restore the previous version of windows and it has been stuck in the boot cycle ever since. It will run a continuous loop restarting the process every 10 mins. I can't get it ti get out of this reboot loop. What to try and get my laptop up and running.
View 2 RepliesI recieved a new desktop pc today (hp envy pheonix) I started the first time setup with windows 10 and reached the point where I had to put my email and password in, which I did. It took me to a blue screen which say "Oops something went wrong" There is no back button on screen and I have tried rebooting the pc and it just returns to the same screen, so I'm stuck looking at this one screen.

I figured it was stuck for good so i forced it to shutdown. Now when booting it goes back to upgrading at the last og the 3 steps and is just stuck there with 0%.

I installed an update today which says in Microsoft's notes about it that it patches Edge among other things. Yet, the version displayed in Settings in Edge is the same as it was before this install. Is it supposed to stay the same?
View 3 RepliesI am attempting to install W10 through USB drive. However as I go through the setup steps, at some point the mouse will start lagging and the setup goes stuck. I don't know if it's a memory problem since I have 3gb of RAM. However if the PC is turned off for a long time the setup tends to continue longer though eventually it goes stuck.

I don't know if other updates are being blocked because these can't be installed. Plus, there appears no way to tell Windows Update NOT to try to install these again, as previous versions of Windows had.
Windows Vista and XP used to have a built-in utility to remove unused seldom used icons from the desktop. Did they remove it for WIN 10 ? I can not seem to find it on here.

View 1 RepliesI'm running Windows 10 Professional x64 build 10240 on my Lenovo X220 laptop. I've subscribed to receive Insider builds on the fast ring, but every time I check for updates I am told "Your device is up to date", and no available updates are shown.
Previously it was working fine; I was receiving regular definition updates for Windows Defender and a number of updates for Windows 10 x64-based systems. Then, a few weeks ago I was offered "th2_professional_10525" (at least, I think that was the name), but this update appeared to fail, and on rebooting the laptop I got the message "Something went wrong..." at the logon screen.
I believe build 10565 is now available on the fast and slow ring. I've changed to the slow ring but still get the "Your device is up to date" message when I check for updates.
How can I get Windows Update to recognise that a later build is available?

No updates are installed yet, none. I have tried going through a long process of deleting SowftwareDistribution folder and I have used windows updatediagnostics. Nothing works. In addition to that every time at boot and before shutting down it displays "Getting Windows ready. Don't turn off your computer" for a short period.
I've discovered that the Win 10 November update is listed but is completely stuck at "downloading update" and never gets any further.
I've run "Troubleshooter" which found a couple of problems and fixed them but still no November update and i also see that the latest February update has "failed" as well.
Everything i try doesn't start the updates so i'm at a complete loss at what else to do.

This update is dated 29.10.2015 and consists of 2 updates.
KB 3105210 states "waiting for download" and KB 3106932 states "waiting for installation" It has been stuck on this for several hours and my attempts to use the repair tools have failed to resolve the problem.
Cumulative update for Windows 10 version 1511 (KB3116908) gets stuck 'waiting for download'
Troubleshooter found no errors.
Windows 10 is set to automatic updates. It was trying to get the Windows Defender Update KB2267602 for two days but the message was always "waiting for server". This has now disappeared from the update screen and does not appear on the installed updates. Is this a problem?
View 2 RepliesI've been trying to update my windows 8.1 to Windows 10 for at least 10 times now and it always stuck at around 60% It reboots itself a few times and it always comes back to the circle screen with the % progress but getting around 60% it reboots and it gets stuck there... black screen, no cursor, no sound.
I've tried to plug it into a secondary screen thru hdmi but nothings happens; also I've uninstalled my antivirus since I've read it might be the problem but it didn't work..
I've got a Dell Inspiron 7537 Windows 8.1 x64 Intel Core i7, 8gb ram, Intel HD Graphics 2gb + Nvidia Geforce
So far no real issue's to report running Windows 10 I really love it but here is my issue. Windows update has been stuck at 45% for the last 3 hour's and usually my updates go pretty quick. I've tried rebooting my system to see if the updates will finish installing but then it goes right back to 45% and stay's there.
View 5 Repliesso i installed windows 10 this morning and it went through the steps and got to a point in the install that says "Hi there, welcome back!" with a "next" button in the bottom right of the screen. When i click it nothing happens. If i click on the screen after about a minute it goes lighter blue and then reboots back to the very same screen.
