View 1 RepliesIs there any way to delete all mail, delete all junk (folder) , empty trash with one click as in ie11?
View 8 RepliesWhen I open Mail s windows 10, it shows that I have three messages in the junk file. When I open it, it is empty
View 1 RepliesI access my Outlook.com email through the Windows 10 Mail app - this is the same Microsoft Account that I sign into my laptop with.
When I Right-Click on the Junk Folder and click on "Empty Folder", as I would so in Outlook or on Outlook.com, I am presented with the below error:
I then have to select each message individually and then hit the Delete key to delete the messages in there.
I tried the registry fix that worked last time on Windows 7 to fix this issue of custom icons not automatically changing, but apparently it cropped up again in Windows 10, and is also not fixable via adding the ",0" to the end of the registry entry.
View 1 RepliesHow do I empty the recycle bin. I found how to access "Recycle Bin" on desktop but when I click on it a long list comes up and I have to delete each one individually and even that does not remove them.Where is the old reliable Empty Recycle Bin ??
View 2 RepliesWorking with Windows 10. When I Deleted items, they do not end in the bin. Why and is there a control panel somewhere that corrects this?
View 2 RepliesI am trying to delete whole recycle bin. As I highlight, right click and delete, a box called running actions comes up with a green bar showing the delete process. However the delete process does not finish and I now have 5 running actions boxes up. it has been like this for 4 days now and it seems there are no deletions.
View 3 RepliesI can't empty my recycle bin. I don't know what caused it, or how it could even happen.I need the extra storage, and i'm on a roadtrip without my external harddrive.
View 5 RepliesI'm not sure when this started happening. Might have been after a Windows update and the system reboot. I've been living with it for a couple weeks now.
When I click All apps in the start menu, the list is empty. The apps in the most used list are still populated and when I install a new app, it shows up as a new app. But when I click All apps, it never shows anything. Just an empty menu with a back button.
The apps in the tile portion of the start menu show up fine and I'm able to search for apps to launch them, but I'd like to be able to easily go through all the apps I have installed.
When emptying the recycle bin there are always about 10 - 15 items left showing in the folder. They are not actually still there because they usually disappear after I refresh the folder. With the recycle bin I could just assume they are gone and if necessary I will get rid of them the next time but this also usually happens when I try to move or delete a large number of files and it is a PITA having to make sure the total move or deletion has completed successfully. What happened to the auto refresh on completion of an operation to show the actual final state of the relative folders ? It is beginning to seem that Win 10's improvements and advantages are coming with too much aggravation .
View 5 RepliesI successfully upgraded from Windows 8.1 to 10 last week. For the 1st time since the upgrade, I tried emptying my recycle bin. However, it *appears* to fail, in that the dialog box that pops up shows "Discovered 0 items (0 bytes)" indefinitely. More details shows the useless "Time remaining: Calculating" message, and nothing useful. The dialog box has been doing this for 2 hours; nothing has changed. It's neither discovered anything nor progressed. I am able to cancel the dialog box, but when I retry, it goes back to "discovering 0 bytes".
I'm on a pretty powerful Dell Inspiron 15R, 16GB RAM, Intel i7 CPU, 1 TB HDD, that's now running Windows 10 Home, 64-bit.
I successfully transferred all my files and data from my old computer (windows 7) to my new computer which uses Windows 10,using "laplink". It placed all the files in "one drive". I set up a local account initially rather than a Microsoft account. So far so good. I then wanted to change my local account to a Microsoft account, which proved somewhat difficult. I ended up creating a new Microsoft account for myself, so I have now got 2 accounts for myself-one local and one Microsoft. In the Microsoft account, however, when I look into file explorer I seem to have lost about 95% of the files I transferred from my old computer. The folders are there but when I click on them it says "folder empty". I would eventually like to delete the local account but am afraid if I do so I may lose most of my photogrphs and music files.
View 10 RepliesI have this habit of writing down quick notes on my desktop on an empty folder kind of to use as a sticky note. I noticed all my folders got deleted somehow this morning...
How I can recover the folders and why they disappeared all of a sudden?
I can not see anything in File Explorer. I use to be able to see my drives and so forth. Also any of my personnel folders and files. look funny. some are just blank icons now.
View 19 RepliesWhenever I login to my Lenovo laptop (which goes straight to desktop) I always have 5 open windows - this can be seen by alt-tab'ing.
Two of these (spotify and skype) are clickable, the other three are not named and do not have an icon or thumbnail that you can click on. The only option is to get rid of these 3 windows (by clicking the big X at the top right hand side of each window). If you choose not to close them, they will remain there whenever you switch (alt tab) between windows.
-How can I find out what these windows are?
-How can I ensure that they are no longer they when I reboot by machine?
why the Command window keeps popping up all the time and I did look up as to whats going on and can't seem to find the problem, restart, turned it off and just let it sit there doing nothing and yet still pops up, the 29th is when everyone was able to get it so I did and have not had this problem with windows 8.
View 7 RepliesI need to replace my failed system disk with a new one and wonder how I can go about installing a new win 10 bought and downloaded from Microsoft. I imagine the process would be the same as for a new custom built computer. I miss being able to buy a Windows on a DVD.
View 9 RepliesThe player just loads empty , white in colour with a few lines. I looked in search for threads regarding groove player but didn't see anything solved. Everything is updated & windows store is as well ,I also tried the troubleshooting.

My windows 10 browsing history recently started coming up empty most of the time. How it might could be fixed?
View 5 RepliesSo, instead of using my browser for my emails I set them up in Windows Mail, but although it will show all the folders it won't show anything in my inboxes. I've tried syncing but to no avail.
View 1 RepliesI refuse to believe that Microsoft would have omitted this basic function. How does one Import from Windows Live Mail into the Windows 10 Mail App?
View 6 RepliesI have windows 10 home operating system on my laptop.I have a problem with my file folder. when I first open it it shows that it works fine. However I've notice that on the left I see the OS and D drive as white icons. View 9 RepliesI usually work with hidden files enabled, and would like to hide empty drives, but it seems my Win 10 Single Language doesn't have this feature, is this normal?
View 8 RepliesI got this problem on new "open with" menu. A empty entry appears for image file extensions. (see picture below).
View 5 RepliesI have lots of links after my Windows 10 installation that appear to go nowhere (i.e. Properties shows the the target to be blank). For example File Explorer shows a link "This PC > Pictures > Local Settings" with an empty target field. May these be deleted?
