Just download Windows 10. How or what step do I need to take to get pictures to show in mail app? I don't see anything to show picture in mail and I don't like the red x in email.
View 1 RepliesSomehow during my tweaking of win10 to match my preferred setup (so it's just like all the previous windows versions in other words), I added the uber-admin account to the login screen. No clue how it got there, but it was, and it didn't need to be - I'm the only user of this machine (or any of my others) and my "normal" account has admin privs.
Yesterday, I found out (love this forum....) how to take the uber-admin account off the login screen. I did so. This morning when I started the computer, my desktop graphic/wallpaper isn't there, and resetting it in the Personalize screen (or in the Personalize classic screen) doesn't restore it.
i've recently installed windows 10 on my hp laptop , and i'm using mail app alot .in my gmail recieved emails if there is attachment like a photo i can't download it , instead , when i click on the picture thumbnail there is infinity loading sign on it and it didn't download , like in this photo

View 5 RepliesAs a keen flickr member I have a lot of photographs on my computer. These are all neatly allocated to different files, depending upon a variety of variables. So far....all is well.
Yesterday my neighbour kindly upgraded me to Windows 10. Everything seemed fine.
Today I tried to take 4 photographs off my camera and load them up to my computer. Initially I got a dialogue box asking me what I would like to do in future when I plugged in my camera - I said "upload the pix to my computer".
Previously they have always arrived on my desktop in a separate file. I would then edit them, afterwards splitting them up into different files, depending on what I want to do with them.
Anyway, this morning, after taken 4 photographs, I plugged in my camera. I then get a message saying "We found 880 photos. Would you like to import them into your picture folder". And the only alternatives given were IMPORT or CANCEL.
I do NOT want all my pix jumbled together in a picture folder. I want them all neatly organized into the folders I have set up.
Is there any way I can get rid of this 'Picture folder' and go back to using my existing folders (they are all still there, and all still containing the photographs they should rightfully contain.)
Every time I open the Live Mail, the Logon box comes asking for my password. It does not mark the Remember me and log on automatic. The problem started for about 14 days ago.
View 5 RepliesI have just updated Windows 10 to Version 1501. I had to install Windows 10 from the Microsoft Update site, as the auto Update stalled 3 times at 91% .
Since then, when I open Mail from the Start Screen, although it opens OK , and there is a white horizontal line on the task bar, the Mail Icon is not there.
If I hold the cursor over the area where the icon should be, the small display comes up and I can click and open it from there OK, just the icon is missing.
my cd drive icon was showing and working then stopped showing up. I did as much research as I could and purchased AVG driver updater and it worked for a few days and won't work again.

I have backup copies of my windows mail files on a portable hdd (JRS, Text docs, XML and PAT files) These were created on my old Vista PC. I am now using a new PC with Windows 10 and would like to import them. I have no way of exporting them to create a CSV file. How do I go about this?

My self-built PC experiences random freezes. It is an Athlon FX6300 + Asus M5A97 motherboard and a MSI Radeon 270 GPU. RAMs are Corsairs.
What i mean by freeze?If i am playing a game the picture suddenly freezes and i hear a continuous sound where the music or sound stopped. I got no BSOD and there are no strange sounds or alike. I never tried waiting longer then 1 minute to see if something happens. The numberlock is unresponsive as is mouse and keyboard. A reset restarts the PC without Issues.
I ran Memtest 86 for 26 hours and it turned out with 0 errors or warnings. I made a crystal disk scan of my harddrive and it says its "Good". I tried different RAM and the issues persist. I have no option to try different Motherboard or CPU.My PSU is a 650W Corsair.
I run a USB mouse and keyboard. Both plugged in from rear into the case. I checked out all connections and it seems fine. Reseated all power connections, tried different RAM slots.I ran a sfc / scannow and it turned out good.I ran the DM Log collector and have attached the generated file.I have a feeling that a fresh installation either doesnt fail or fails quite seldom. The PC crashes mostly while playing my favourite Game Farming simulator 2015, i tried running it with a system monitor up and there were no signs of overheating or similar.
I can find a Picture folder, and some of my pictures are in the folder, but not all of them.
If I go to Start, File Explorer, On This PC, and then search JPG or IMG, then I can see some of my missing pictures, but nowhere close to the number of pictures that are on my computer. I also know the name of one of my folders. When I search for that name, the pictures show up, but again, I cannot find the actual folder!
There is one picture that I desperately need to find.

Some issues have appeared, one that is bothering me is the following:
I try to change the lockscreen picture, but Windows 10 will not allow it. It has a red banner at the top of the settings window stating that some of the settings are managed by my organisation.
This is completely silly as the laptop has never, ever been part of a domain or registered in an organisation. Neither has the MS-Account, it has been used on a single laptop before, but never as part of a domain or in an organisation.
How can I get my laptop "out" of an organisation that I have never joined?
There are some other settings that also are disabled, and I want to get control of my laptop.
picture card SD does not download pictures on Winows 10
View 1 RepliesWho's bright idea was it to make the scrollwheel go to the next picture instead of zoom in, in the pictures program. It's awesome that the default picture program plays GIF now, but for regular pictures I liked the scrollwheel zoom. Is there anyway to get this back or am I SOL?

Restoring to default locations makes no difference, or should I say that whatever change I do to Music is replicated in Pictures & visa versus.
How to sort this out.

View 1 RepliesI recently upgraded to 10 last week and I noticed that when I am clicking through my picture gallery, it stops at the last photo and doesn't restart from the beginning. In Windows 7 and every other version, you were able to loop through photo galleries.
This isn't a huge deal but I reference my photos a lot when I am doing work on my pc and it's kinda annoying to have to click out of the slide viewer and then scroll back up to the first photo in my folder in order to start over.
I've reinstalled W10 Pro x64 2 days ago and ergh.. my Microsoft Account picture just doesn't want to get synced, I checked the settings and although I didn't change anything, the pic still doesnt want to sync.
I went to Microsoft Account and edited the pic a bit, cropped it to see if it syncs this time but nope.
I have come to the conclusion W10 is about a year away from a solid product. I think we are all part of Gamma Testing. Here is one of several problems that should not be occurring.
I set the background picture to the beach scene. It stayed there for about 3 hours. Then the background went to a solid black. If I go back to Background Preview the proper picture is previewed. I can change the solid color to any color by switching to Solid Color and choosing any of the color picks, but no matter how many times I try, reboot, cuss at the screen, I cannot get the background picture to display properly. I can always set the background choice to it, and it shows in the preview, but not as the actual background.
The picture choice also shows in Themes when I look there. Everyplace but where I want it. On my screen as a background.
Doing some searching, it appears this problem dates back to W8.
