I'm seeing random email sent from the app go from the outbox to literally NOWHERE!! it's not in sent and it DOES NOT reach who I sent it to .. it somehow disappears into a black hole from the outbox
if you're reply or sending something important, you currently CANNOT guarantee it's working correctly - unless you keep checking the sent folder.
What happened to the "cc to" block when sending e-mails? This is used when sending a copy of mail to a person who is not included in the mail list.

View 2 RepliesWith Windows 10, I only want to use the default mail application, I don't want to have to use the desktop Outlook version. But I use Word a lot and have to send a lot of documents as attachment, so with Outlook for desktop I used the share > E-mail function. Now with the default e-mail app as a default mailing program, I get the error "there is no email program associated to perform the requested action" and after that "Word couldn't send mail because of MAPI failure".
Any solution to make the desktop version of Word work with the default mail application? Word Mobile can already send e-mails using the default mail app, but then again, you need an office 365 subscription to even use Word Mobile...
Outlook 2010 wont send mail after the upgrade. I have deleted all accounts and reinstalled them but I still have the same problem.

My OS is Windows 10. I have been using MS Office Outlook for my email. I've used it for years. A few weeks ago I decided to try gmail so I set up an account. I did not give anyone my gmail address but for some reason I started to get a lot of my email from friends who have my Outlook address. I even got some of the junk mail on gmail. I then shut down my gmail account as I don't like it. Then I noticed that I wasn't getting much email. So I opened my gmail account and there were dozens of email messages there. Here's my problem. I want to close my gmail account but then I'll miss all of the messages that will go there. My question is. How can I stop messages from going to the gmail?

View 4 RepliesFor 2 weeks my "Mail" app has been frozen and I use Windows Live Mail to get emails. My "Calendar" has stopped working, can't open it up to get appointments nor to add to dates. My "People" app has never worked, I am assuming this app has all my contacts in it, have to use Live Mail for my contacts. Yesterday "Edge" would come up when I clicked on it then would flash and disappear behind the task bar but today it is working, not complaining about that. When trying to do "updates" it says it can't. When running Norton Full Scan it get stuck at Microsoft Tap Tiles.

I upgraded to windows 10 and downloaded windows live mail, it works, but when I download new emails it deletes all old and unread emails.
Yesterday I turned on sync as suggested, then I downloaded 10 new emails, I opened 5 and left 5 unopened. This morning I downloaded my emails, as before all previous emails downloaded yesterday disappeared.
I used XP for almost fourteen years without a problem. Now that I have windows10 I haven't been able to add pictures to exist8ing cd's. No problems with data or music. I also cannot view the picture CD's. I double click burn to disc but nothing happens. I get a list but no way to view it. I get a notice,these files are ready....etc. but when I click on a folder to transfer new contents...nothing happens. I'm at a loss on how to procede.

And, I`ve set up my NUC as a file server with a 1TB external hard drive, and I have shared the two partitions over the network, but when my stepdad is gonna access some of his files he get a message that the owner of the server needs to give him rights or something. It was fine in Win 8.1.
My email settings are
IMAP
Outgoing server requires authentication - is ticked
Incoming = 993 with SSL
Outgoing = 587 with TLS
All other setting as normal. When I run a test it comes back as good and will receive emails, but nothing will send.
I upgraded to windows 10 and outlook isnt sending emails. It isnt an issue with our ISP this has been checked. This is really difficult as I need outlook for work!

Since upgrading to windows 10, this feature no longer works. Although the list of correct email addresses appears, when I click on it, it no longer fills in the name and I have to completely retype the email address.
