View 1 RepliesI have just updated Windows 10 to Version 1501. I had to install Windows 10 from the Microsoft Update site, as the auto Update stalled 3 times at 91% .
Since then, when I open Mail from the Start Screen, although it opens OK , and there is a white horizontal line on the task bar, the Mail Icon is not there.
If I hold the cursor over the area where the icon should be, the small display comes up and I can click and open it from there OK, just the icon is missing.
I have a driver that loads late in the boot process. On every boot, the Win 10 boot process is interrupted about half way through by the "Found new Hardware" notification sound. It then continues to boot normally with no errors. Is there a log file that states the drivers that are loaded, and the time they loaded? If not, is there a 3rd party software that can give me that information like the old Dr Watson?
I figure the hardware driver making the "new hardware" sound is probably the last one to load, and I can find which one it is by observing the time it loads.I have unplugged every USB and other peripheral device with no luck. I have no flags in Device Manager, even the hidden devices have no errors.
In Windows 10, I already have folders for Music, Videos, Documents and Pictures. Why can't these folders be synced with OneDrive? It would make so much more sense. Instead I have to create separate folders in my OneDrive directory in Windows Explorer with the same names, doubling everything up.

View 1 RepliesI've reinstalled W10 Pro x64 2 days ago and ergh.. my Microsoft Account picture just doesn't want to get synced, I checked the settings and although I didn't change anything, the pic still doesnt want to sync.
I went to Microsoft Account and edited the pic a bit, cropped it to see if it syncs this time but nope.
I have win10 running beautifully after hours of configuring on my main computer, now I want to put win10 on 2 of my 3 other computers, is there a way to sync win10 so I don't have to spend additional hours configuring the other two computers like the first one?

So I made the stupid mistake of logging in to OneDrive on the office computer (I'm a freelancer/independent contractor, so I don't always come here) and now I can't logout?
I've only synced the one folder related to the project I'm working on this office. Would it work if I signed in on my own laptop, would that make the login session on the office computer expire? What if some other employee needs to login on this computer?

View 6 RepliesI am having a weird issue with OneDrive. I have gone thru the update and selected the folders to sync (god, I miss the place holders). Now every time I'm offline I try to access a file in those folders I get a error "File system error (-2143326205) ". I have the checked if the folders are up to date and all files are downloaded and they are. I am able to access the files if I'm online.
I should also mention that I am using a SP3 i3 and I have my OneDrive folder in on my SD card mounted into a NTFS folder on C:
So, instead of using my browser for my emails I set them up in Windows Mail, but although it will show all the folders it won't show anything in my inboxes. I've tried syncing but to no avail.

View 6 RepliesAfter a driver (I think one related to Intel graphics, but i am not shure) was unsuccesfully installed, I had a BSOD problem, hard restart, kernel error message (unable to reproduce it afterward). Some applications from taskbar partially work (Office, Skype), some not. I am unable to open the Start menu (but the right click still works). The Edge disapeared, I post from anothe PC. Restarted a few times, tried to restore to a previous backup of drivers - nothing works.

MS when they can't even make an email client?
Currently, my OneDrive icon is sitting in the 'hidden icons' section. I have seen pictures of the icon sitting on the taskbar next to Edge, the store, and all the other taskbar icons... how do you get that icon on the taskbar? I have tried all the normal ways I can think of (click and drag onto taskbar, going into taskbar settings, etc) but I can't get it to be removed from the hidden icons area.

View 4 RepliesI installed Windows 10 four days ago. At that time I lost audio. Once I rebooted it came back. Last night when I shut down, Windows indicated it was doing an update.Today (even after rebooting) I have no audio. Not even a sound icon in the system tray. When I go through Properties to turn those icons on or off the Sound option is grayed back.
