Aug 15, 2015I recently upgraded to win 10. I found 2 which are related to when you close the lid of your laptop.
1. If you close the lid when the laptop is unlocked, and then open it up again after it has went to sleep, it will not lock the laptop but re show whatever you were doing.
2. If you close the lid when it is locked, it goes into a deep sleep. This sometimes causes me to press the power button so that it wakes up but then it reboots itself I think and shows the lock screen again.
Networking :: Wireless Turned Off After Lid Closed Or Sleep (Not Power Management)
Feb 10, 2016In the last two weeks I have been experiencing something very strange with my Windows 10 Pro. When my laptop resumes from sleep the Wireless is turned off in Windows. I don't believe it was an update because I have defer updates enabled. Unfortunately, I just noticed System Restore was turned off.
1) I have checked the power settings in Device Manager and the device is NOT checked to use power management)
2) I have updated to the latest wireless driver available.
Edit: I believe this issue has something specifically to do with Sleep because when I reboot or shutdown/power-on the Wireless is enabled and working fine. It only seems to be when Windows goes into sleep mode.
Browser/Email :: Previously Closed Chrome Windows Appear Faintly In Taskbar?
Oct 22, 2015at the bottom on the taskbar i saw 2 faint chrome pages that i had visited earlier and closed a long time ago. they were not functional to open and they could not be closed either. they were next to the bright active chrome icon that will open a new window.
what is the problem that faint, closed windows of chrome would be showing, and not be clickable or closeable? the problem seems new, because i don't think i saw this yesterday.
how to fix, i decided to 'reset' 10 and they disappeared.

Aug 12, 2015Surface Pro 3 running Windows 10 Pro 64-bit.Whenever I go to load the included Maps app, it tries to load, even showing my local map, before it just shuts down after three seconds.I followed the tutorial to remove apps as show here (I used Powershell - Option #2)Apps - Uninstall in Windows 10
The app uninstalled cleanly and after a quick restart it was gone from my Start Menu.I went to the store and found it again (Windows Maps) and reinstalled.Still no luck - same behavior - it tries to load then shuts down.it works fine on my desktop running the same OS - Pro 64-bit.

Sep 9, 2015I have windows 10 running in Bootcamp ( MacOS. I upgraded to Windows 10 pro from Wind 8.1 Pro.
After upgrade I notice that Maps app and Photos app keep launching automatically , even after closing them. I'm not sure what is triggering them.

Sep 12, 2015In the Reliability Monitor I find 6 'Critical Events' detailed as "Downloaded Maps Manager - stopped working". These events occurred on separate days.
Also in Settings/Updates there is the tick box option to "Download updates for other Microsoft Products" . Tick or untick this option. Would ticking it perhaps result in unwanted extras?

Dec 13, 2015The symptoms below started in the last few days. I've also applied 1511 in the last few days. I can't say for sure whether the effect pre-dates the update or not since I hadn't used Maps much around that time.
Firefox 42.0 now shows the traffic overlay as broken pieces, and for certain broken lines like tunnels and railways it shows junk. This effect is worse with vertically-oriented lines, horizontal ones can look ok.
The image shows Edge on the left and Firefox on the right, showing the same area of Heathrow airport.
Of course this may be due to something else, but I've tried two versions of the graphic drivers (Intel 4600) with no change. I've also flushed the FF cache.
