View 1 RepliesI've just upgrade to Windows 10 a few weeks ago and since then I cannot open the sotre app It gives "The Server Stumbled" error message, without any error code and then force closed The same cases also happened to Xbox app I've updated a few times via windows update but it seems the error still occur
View 2 RepliesI recently upgraded to win 10. I found 2 which are related to when you close the lid of your laptop.
1. If you close the lid when the laptop is unlocked, and then open it up again after it has went to sleep, it will not lock the laptop but re show whatever you were doing.
2. If you close the lid when it is locked, it goes into a deep sleep. This sometimes causes me to press the power button so that it wakes up but then it reboots itself I think and shows the lock screen again.
In the last two weeks I have been experiencing something very strange with my Windows 10 Pro. When my laptop resumes from sleep the Wireless is turned off in Windows. I don't believe it was an update because I have defer updates enabled. Unfortunately, I just noticed System Restore was turned off.
1) I have checked the power settings in Device Manager and the device is NOT checked to use power management)
2) I have updated to the latest wireless driver available.
Edit: I believe this issue has something specifically to do with Sleep because when I reboot or shutdown/power-on the Wireless is enabled and working fine. It only seems to be when Windows goes into sleep mode.
at the bottom on the taskbar i saw 2 faint chrome pages that i had visited earlier and closed a long time ago. they were not functional to open and they could not be closed either. they were next to the bright active chrome icon that will open a new window.
what is the problem that faint, closed windows of chrome would be showing, and not be clickable or closeable? the problem seems new, because i don't think i saw this yesterday.
how to fix, i decided to 'reset' 10 and they disappeared.
Surface Pro 3 running Windows 10 Pro 64-bit.Whenever I go to load the included Maps app, it tries to load, even showing my local map, before it just shuts down after three seconds.I followed the tutorial to remove apps as show here (I used Powershell - Option #2)Apps - Uninstall in Windows 10
The app uninstalled cleanly and after a quick restart it was gone from my Start Menu.I went to the store and found it again (Windows Maps) and reinstalled.Still no luck - same behavior - it tries to load then shuts down.it works fine on my desktop running the same OS - Pro 64-bit.
I want to load it now. How do I get Google Maps for Windows 10?

View 1 RepliesI have windows 10 running in Bootcamp ( MacOS. I upgraded to Windows 10 pro from Wind 8.1 Pro.
After upgrade I notice that Maps app and Photos app keep launching automatically , even after closing them. I'm not sure what is triggering them.
I have verified that these apps are not in autostart ( msconfig).
I just upgraded from Build 10041 to Build 10061. I downloaded a few maps using 'Systems - Maps' but unable to find where these maps are saved.
This happens to both builds. Where can I find the saved maps.
They should have this in the Maps preview app, but that app has been relegated to nothing. I haven't seen any updates. I guess Microsoft is betting more on web technology. Anyways, here's a fun screenshot that shows off Microsoft's consistency.
View 4 RepliesIn the Reliability Monitor I find 6 'Critical Events' detailed as "Downloaded Maps Manager - stopped working". These events occurred on separate days.
Also in Settings/Updates there is the tick box option to "Download updates for other Microsoft Products" . Tick or untick this option. Would ticking it perhaps result in unwanted extras?
How can I close only 1 tab when I have more than one tab open. It brings up a screen that ask if I want to close all tabs or cancel? I only want to close the one. When I do it will close all and take me back to the home screen then I have to open it up again.
View 17 RepliesI have a site that was pointed to shopify, and then closed the store. Now when I try to load the new site, it always directs to the closed shopify site. If I do a dns reset using ipconfig /flushdns it will work for a while, but then always reverts back. So I have to reset many times per day.
View 9 RepliesI have Windows 10. Recently I noticed that If I have several applications open and want to switch to another one, it opens BEHIND the existing window. How do I bring whatever application I click to the forefront? I have sought long and hard for the answer, but to no avail.
View 8 RepliesFriday morning I upgraded my Surface Pro 3 to MS Windows 10. Everything went great, so I thought. I open Edge, it minimizes, I open Netflix, it minimizes. Nothing except the home screen will stay up for any length of time.
View 2 RepliesThe symptoms below started in the last few days. I've also applied 1511 in the last few days. I can't say for sure whether the effect pre-dates the update or not since I hadn't used Maps much around that time.
Firefox 42.0 now shows the traffic overlay as broken pieces, and for certain broken lines like tunnels and railways it shows junk. This effect is worse with vertically-oriented lines, horizontal ones can look ok.
The image shows Edge on the left and Firefox on the right, showing the same area of Heathrow airport.
Of course this may be due to something else, but I've tried two versions of the graphic drivers (Intel 4600) with no change. I've also flushed the FF cache.
When I open Google Maps, I get the street view photos at the bottom of the screen, but the map itself is a black screen in both street map and satellite settings.
Latest Win10 64 drivers are installed; Nvidia GeForce GTX 750Ti
My Maps app that came with Windows 10 no longer works in Aerial view. It's just blackness with my location dot in the middle. The blackness remains, even when I pan and zoom, but the road/normal layer works fine. I have the most current & up to date OS, Win 10 Home, 10586.36 & new Dell laptop.

View 1 RepliesI just recently downloaded Windows Ten today 7/29/2015 and I wanted to personalize my computer. I opened the start window and clicked settings. The window flashed up but then disappeared. It isn't showing up in my taskbar or in task manager. I tried accessing it from the tile itself and the little button on the side of the window. I also asked Cortana. All of the results were the same?
