Mouse Cursor Won't Move To Next Monitor From The Top Left Corner
Aug 16, 2015
I just upgraded to Windows 10 from Windows 7 and I have a 2 monitor setup. I like to drag/drop windows from one monitor to the other, but Windows 10 has a barrier it seems right in the top corners. If I'm on the left monitor, and I go to drag a window to the right monitor, it will hang in the top right corner of the left monitor and not move, until I move the cursor down slightly, then it'll let me move it. Is there a way to remove that stopgap so I can move windows freely from one monitor to the other without having to go around the top corner?
I have an HP Envy that I just updated to Windows 10. Now my cursor keeps jumping to the upper left corner of my screen. I have tried using different USB mice and a different browser, but the problem exists all the time.
I am having troubles with my mouse. I am currently on Windows 10 and have just encountered a problem. It started when I closed down a tab and the mouse flashed to the top left corner of my screen, now as soon as I move the mouse it instantly moves it back. Something weird is sometimes when I open up a different tab for example a game, the mouse does the exact same thing but in the middle of the screen. I have tried unplugging and re-plugging the mouse back in AND Turning On and Off The Snap On mouse feature.
I have had this issue for only a couple of days now. I've tried uninstalling/reinstalling the drivers for the mouse, sound card, and headset, which still hasn't worked. I've seen other sites talking about an "Intel Technologies Access Services" which isn't showing up in my task manager or services (I'm assuming that's a good thing). I guess I'm just not exactly sure what else to try at this point.
i upgraded my windows from 8.1 to 10.evrything seems fine but when i launch my games it won't run.i run dxdiag then i noticed that my intel vga and nvidia 840M's driver were uninstalled. I open the ASUS installer and installed my display driver.when i reboot, the screen goes black with the mouse cursor in it after ASUS logo.3 leds were lit.the hdd led is blinking. i reboot several times and hit F8, unfortunately nothing happened.
After upgrade from windows 7 everything works properly. After o while it was not possible to open the START MENY by left click the windows 10 icon in the lower left corner. Right click works ok. What is the reason to that?
I've just noticed a feature which I don't think was present on Windows 7, but is on Windows 10.When a pop-up window is opened by an application the window is not aligned with the top left corner of the screen, it is slightly padded to the right. This seems to affect both pop-ups from browsers and from other applications (i.e Tkinter python frames).
Is there a way to prevent this from happening? I have written a program that interacts with an application that creates these kinds of pop-ups and my program is expecting the windows to be about 7 pixels to the left of where they are appearing.... This can be tested by turning off your ad blocker and going to URL...
So im on windows 10 all is well except whenever i hit the Volume up and down button on my keyboard it appears on the left corner and i simply can't move it can i disable it from showing completely or move it by any chance ?
I'm using Groove Music and every time I skip a song, there is a little box that shows up in the top left corner that shows the next song that I skip to. This is all fine and dandy, but when I play WoW it shows up over my game which makes impossible to heal when it covers up my raid ui! Anyway, how do you remove this/ is it possible to remove this?
on a brand new upgrade from Windows 8, the start icon in the lower left corner does not respond to left button mouse clicks. It does see the mouse over and responds to right button clicks. Also when trying to pin an icon to the taskbar, it does not respond to a right click. The logged in user is an administrator. I have re-booted several times.
Woke up this morning fired up toshiba laptop, windows started to update as usual.now I can`t use windows start button in left hand corner or access apps or any shortcuts in taskbar. right click on windows icon still opens desktop. is it possible to correct the problem by uninstalling the latest update, if so how?
I use left handed mouse, and swapping left / buttons works OK. I also set the wheel button to be "double click". But the wheel button brings up the context menu instead of double click. If I change to right hand mouse, the wheel button gives double click as expected. how to make the wheel button give double click for left hand mouse?
My problem is that sometimes (around once or twice a day), I get my laptop stucked suddenly. The cursor does not move. The keyboard also does not work (even by trying to turn CAPS lock on and off, I don't see the light on keyboard changing]. So I have to do forced restart. Before having windows 10, I was using Windows 7 and it was fine. Important note is that I had same problem with Windows 8 so that I returned back to 7.
Just upgraded to Windows 10 and noticed that every time I adjust the volume a notification at the top right pops up for a few seconds. Problem is I'm used to adjusting the volume of my music frequently and that little box is right where my bookmark bar is on Chrome. So when I go to click on my Youtube bookmark, it turns the volume from ~10 all the way to 100, killing my ear drums.
I was really hoping there's a way to disable this volume control but have found nothing and I've turned the sound up to 100 about 3 times today.
I recently upgraded Windows 8.1 to Windows 10.0. I have tried reinstalling Synaptics, removing and uninstalling Synaptics, disabling palmcheck, but it wouldn't work. It's annoying when you are playing a game that requires moving while pressing keys on your keyboard. I also have Synaptics 7.5 (19.0.10). The only way I can move my mouse while pressing any key is pressing (any key) + shift.
I recently got an SSD, with my old HDD set as a storage. I was trying to move the quick navigation folders on the left of Windows Explorer from the SSD to the D: drive (HDD).
However, with the 'My Music' shortcut, I accidently moved it to just the D: drive, rather than a folder within the D: Drive. This means the 'My Music' now directs me to straight to the D: drive, and when I try and move it, Windows says access is denied.
Every time I go and leave the PC running in less than 5 mins ill come back and my cursor is stuttering and it won't allow me to click on anything even though I can move the cursor.
First time user, today, the left side of my monitor screens are cut off, can't see the icons and same when I use my email. Can't recall doing anything to cause this misbehavior.

I have an annoying problem. When I move from my secondary LCD to the primary, sometimes the mouse won't cross the threshold unless I move it fast. I read about mouse monitor escape speed from this thread, but after adding the reg key to the control panel/desktop and the edgeui, I still have no luck.
I noticed the thread was old. Is this something where those fixes no longer work in the latest and greatest version of Win10? If so, is there a way to stop it from sticking?
