View 1 RepliesI started to upgrade all my drivers since I downloaded windows 10. Everything was going along fine until I hit the driver on my mouse. Gone the mouse disappeared. There was no way to get it back. So I finally hooked up another mouse and tried to go back and roll back the driver to the other version. The roll back box won't lite up and it has to be lite to be able to roll back.
View 8 RepliesI've had a series of problems with Windows 10. Latest (last couple of weeks) Thunderbird and all browers have been gradually getting worse and worse. I decided to restore the system this morning but I get stopped every time by a screen where I am to select a keyboard to use. This is where both the mouse and keyboard don't work.
View 4 RepliesCan't scroll by holding middle mouse and moving mouse in IE in the latest build.
View 2 RepliesIs there a way to stop the middle mouse button (i.e. click of the scroll wheel) from opening Cortana/search?
Things I've tried:
1. Searched Google. No useful results. The closest I found was that Windows 10 may be confusing the click of the middle mouse button as the 3-finger tap on the touchpad - which opens Cortana/search by the default. But I don't have a touch pad. I have the Toshiba PX30T (Toshiba Qosmio PX30t 23 inch Touchscreen All-in-One PC - Black/Silver (Intel Core i3 3120M 2.5GHz Processor, 8GB RAM, 1TB HDD, DVDSM DL, LAN, WLAN, BT, Webcam, Integrated Graphics, Windows 8 64-Bit): Amazon.co.uk: Computers Accessories).
2. Tried re-configuring the middle mouse button in (a) Windows 10 Settings > Devices > Mouse & touchpad, (b) Control Panel > Mouse, and (c) my desktop's manufacturer's System Settings utility application (upgraded just now from their website). Interestingly, none of those three configuration tools had any control setting for the middle mouse button.
It is obvious that Windows 10 doesn't "fully" support the wireless mouse that comes with my PC.
Is there a way to "unbind" the middle mouse button from opening Cortana/search? For example, via the Registry Editor - maybe?
Shutdown computer last night, turned it on this morning and the 'app' quite working. Got one of those messages from windows – “A problem caused the program to stop working correctly. Windows will close the program and notify you if a solution is available.” Rebooted computer twice – no go.
O.K. then. Uninstalled and reinstalled, no luck. Tried to download Weather Channel app – no go – clicking on download link and nothing happened. O.K. Tried to download Accuweather app – same result – clicking on “link” and nothing happened. Tried different sources, Cnet etc.
Dell computer, windows 10 – no other issues. Computer works fine otherwise. I like to have the “temperature” on my task bar as I go walking everyday and its a nice guide.
My Facebook app has quit working. It will open and then close. I've uninstalled/reinstalled but that didn't work. It just started doing this today. I'm using a Surface Pro 2 running Windows 10.
View 7 RepliesI upgraded to Windows 10 a little while ago, and while it has mostly been smooth sailing I have encountered a small glitch.
Middle-clicking on things in the taskbar normally opens a new instance on the corresponding application. This feature works perfectly for everything but Firefox.
I am not sure if it is a setting within Firefox or Windows that is blocking this behavior, or if it is a bug.
I have discovered two workarounds.
1) Open a new Firefox window using the shortcut in the Start Screen.
2) Drag a tab away to create a new window.
Driver update gone bad caused my start button to stop working. I have tried sfc /scannow but it didn't find any issues. I don't want to do a system restore because the last time I did, that caused more problems! (edge vanished).
View 4 RepliesWLM has quit working - I have tried repairing but there was no change. If I reinstall will I lose all my emails and calendar information?
View 6 RepliesThe Bluetooth in my ASUS Q302 quit working. When inspecting the Device Manager I ran across this.
View 1 RepliesI use left handed mouse, and swapping left / buttons works OK. I also set the wheel button to be "double click". But the wheel button brings up the context menu instead of double click. If I change to right hand mouse, the wheel button gives double click as expected. how to make the wheel button give double click for left hand mouse?
View 5 RepliesWhen I first got Win 10, the Edge browser worked great but after a time it simply quit working. The opening screen with the icon comes up but then it goes back to my desktop. I can still use Explorer but Edge had some features I liked and I would like to go back to it before too long. I have seen some comments here about proxy servers and the like but I am not brave enough to tinker with that.
View 7 RepliesI've recently upgraded to Windows 10 via USB (using the download from the microsoft website onto USB and upgraded all my computers). All went well and smoothly, but unfortunately, when I went to start up Dota 2, my screens went black (as normal) but didnt load up the game. It seemed like it just crashes before it even loads anything. I thought that it was a bit weird, so i tried launching Garry's Mod, that did the same thing. I tried Warframe, as that opens a window before you enter the game, but that worked.
Not sure whats going on, heres my PC specs.
CPU - Intel i5 4570
GPU - GTX 780 Gigabyte
3 1080p monitors
Motherboard - Z87 Gigabyte (z87m-D3HP to be exact)
I plan on buying a new computer and want to transfer my Windows 10 App Game Statistics for Hearts and Chess to my new computer. Where does Windows 10 store these game statistics so I can save the folder.
View 3 RepliesI downloaded windows 10 yesterday. Now the buttons below the mouse pad don't work. Initially the mouse didn't work, but I was able to find the setting for it and fix it. I'm able to move the cursor but can't select anything with the button or by tapping the mouse. I have a Bluetooth mouse and it works ok. Where the settings are for the buttons on the bottom? I have a Toshiba laptop.
View 2 RepliesRecently i have upgraded to Windows 10 from Windows 7. Everything was fine the first hour, then all of the sudden the mouse stopped working and it was no where to be seen. The mouse that I use is an old Logitech mouse that has a ball to control the mouse. So, I plugged in another mouse and it was working, but the clicks were backwards.
View 1 RepliesIn the bottom bar is three windows labelled tasdkbar; two small bigger one in middle. When I click on it it shows another version of my desktop, but minus icons. What is the function?

View 1 RepliesAfter upgrading to Windows 10 on my sony laptop my mouse will not come back on the screen after I close my laptop and the computer goes to sleep. I have to restart my laptop after every time my computer goes to sleep to get my mouse back on the screen. Just checked DM and the touchpad drivers are current.
View 4 RepliesI have a Acer Aspire E17 with a precision touchpad. The touchpad works, but I prefer the mouse. Sometimes when I am using the mouse I hear a strange sound then it stops working. It only lasts for about 10 seconds then the sound returns and the mouse works again.
View 5 RepliesI installed the Windows 10 beta from Window 7 a few days ago. I installed all the recent updates. Everything was working fine but then yesterday, I watched something on YouTube for about an hour and at that point the mouse became unresponsive. I've tried everything I can think of but nothing works. I've shut down, re-booted, gone into the bios but with no success. Windows 10 will open but the mouse remains unresponsive. I even plugged-in a brand new mouse but that hasn't worked at all.
I have another hard drive with Windows 8.1 from my other PC that has a defective motherboard and out of frustration, I installed the drive from that PC on this one. It works but sometimes I have to re-boot my PC a few times on start-up and then if I leave a browser open for a while without activity, the browser becomes unresponsive and although the mouse cursor works, it is not able to do anything.
I sometimes have little control of my mouse. It travels in a jerky mode
View 2 RepliesMy PC was working fine until today. Now when I boot up the lights on my razor keyboard illuminate but when it gets past the bios the lights turn off.
When the login screen for w10 comes up I can't login because both the keyboard and mouse are not responding.
They work fine in the bios. I am using a custom built PC (a88x-gamer MOBO) and a corsair m65 mouse with a razer black window 2015 keyboard and running Windows 10.
I'm having a problem with windows 10 randomly waking up in the middle of the night and restarting to do updates. How do I disable this?
View 1 RepliesAfter I installed Windows 10 from windows 7 I couldn't use my mouse and keyboard it works when I boot up BIOS Utility but when im on windows 10 it does not work. I tried switching usb ports and that didn't work either.
