Nov 26, 2015Let's say I want to multiple files at once with a specific app. I selected multiple files, and then right click. Where is the open with option? How can I fix this?

All I want to do is to open multiple new files and then assign specific files for each of the new open spreadsheets on the screen ones that have no content. I typically have 10 or 20-files on the screen that I'm working with. I've done this for years using OS7. I also have another computer with OS8, and it's not a problem.

Then I could go left or right and it only showed me the pictures I selected. In Windows 10 however, selecting multiple pictures and hitting enter opens up multiple instances of Photo Viewer.

Jan 6, 2016I recently upgraded my win 8.1 pro to win 10 and I have an annoyance.
When I have many (read about 15) Firefox windows (NOT TABS) open they stack vertically (from taskbar). Like this picture is showing (only shows 3 of the windows.):
What I'm trying to do here is remove or lower the spacing between each window. To make the list tighter.
I've found the same true for multiple open folders/drives (explorer windows). It's how things are sorted when they can no longer be thumbnails.
Onedrive Sync Selection
Jan 16, 2016So, I am just now getting around to trying to solve this problem due to the fact that I am needing to use the computer that has this problem at the moment. When ever anything that would put crap in My Documents (I.E. Rockstar) it instead goes to onedrive. The System will not let me change the setting on where documents get saved automatically. when I try to change it the selection box just goes blank. if I try to select "This PC" again it will then show up, however if I go away and come back the setting is back to saying "OneDrive".

Jul 19, 2015I'm using WIn 8.1 as my main OS, but I have the 10 Home preview (Build 10240) on a second hard drive and I'm dual-booting. But there's something strange happening:
- If i set WIndows 10 as the default OS, then the PC boots to the OS selection screen and gives me 30 seconds to pick which one I want to use
- But if I set 8.1 as the default, it boots directly into 8.1 and doesn't let me select the 10 preview.
I'd prefer to have 8.1 as the default, but I don't want to go into BIOS every time I want to switch between them.

Sep 7, 2015So after removing Windows 10 Developer preview from mscongif (after I upgraded from windows 7 to 10) I was still booting in the OS selection menu because I once attempted to install Kali Linux and now I have an extra option in this menu to "Continue to install Linux...". This option does not show up in the msconfig boot section. How can I remove it in order to save 5 seconds of booting time?

Aug 17, 2015Windows 10 no "More Options" selection when a program is not responding, can I re-enable it? I game a lot and with some games that require lots of resources, sometimes while loading it will not respond, but on windows 7 i had the possibility to click something on the lines of "More Options" and i could see what the problem was.
Such as Apphang or Appcrash or other things like that. Is there anyway to re-enable this on windows 10, I upgraded strait from windows 7 to 10 without wiping HDD.
Repair Disk Stops At Keyboard Selection?
Aug 27, 2015I upgraded my Win 7 X64 Ultimate to Win 10 Pro X64 for free of course. I created a Windows 10 repair disk under Backup/Restore. I did the same when I first got Windows 7 years ago. Under Windows 7, I was able to boot the repair disk and easily restore a system image that I take nightly (overkill I know), over the years I used it several times without a problem when my system got screwed up.
I can boot the Windows 10 repair disk BUT it gets to choose a keyboard and I can't choose a keyboard because mouse/keyboard do NOT respond at all. It just basically freezes on that screen.
So I ask a few questions:
- Is there a better Windows 10 system repair disk I can download from somewhere to restore a Win 10 system image that I create nightly?
-- I tried a 3rd party Backup/Recovery product EaseUS Todo Backup, my Dell hard drive has 2 partitions (a dell MBR partition and the actual C drive), it backed up both partitions but that recovery disk didn't show both partitions to recover, only the MBR partition which was useless to me of course.
Is there a Simple backup software just to copy the C drive 1 partition where my windows system resides, have a recovery boot disk that boots (EaseUS boot disks booted by the way) and to restore just the C drive partition that works under Windows 10?

Feb 10, 2016Ever since I installed 10, I have major issues with scrolling through selection menus and drop down menus pop up when clicked on but immediately disappear. Also on start up, the page that is supposed to roll up to access your login screen won't roll up on it's own...I have to hit f11 to get it to go up.. It is not only in web-based windows on the scroll problem either...it happens in the start menu as well and sometimes there is no response when something is clicked on.

Customization :: Taskbar / Start Menu Automatic Color Selection
Aug 15, 2015I've got a slideshow of images set as my desktop background, and under the Personalization settings for Colors I have the three settings "Automatically pick an accent color", "Show color on Start, taskbar, and action center" and "Make start, taskbar, and action center" all switched to On.
The problem is the accent color selection does not automatically refresh when the slideshow rolls to the next image. I have to either send the computer to sleep and wake it up, or toggle the "Automatically pick an accent color" slider in order to get it to refresh. Needless to say this is pretty impractical and I end up just sitting through the whole day with an accent color that only matches the first image of the slideshow.
It looks like the super-thin window border telling you which window has focus is still updating color correctly, but nothing else, anywhere, does at all.
Customization :: Windows Background Picture Selection Thinks Some Folders Are Empty
Jul 29, 2015how to change the desktop background (which is curiously located in a completely different menu outside of the control panel!) and tried to choose a local folder with pictures in it, Windows somehow thinks the folder is empty.
Now, when I go to that folder in Explorer, it's full of pictures. They are all jpgs and are the same pictures that populate my synced theme, just more of them than are allowed to fit in a synced theme. I can't understand why this folder is coming up empty when choosing a slideshow when it has tons of pictures.
Performance :: System Will Not Restart From Restart Selection On Start Menu
Nov 13, 2015I upgraded to Windows 10 everything seems to run fine but system will not restart from the restart selection on the start menu. Windows update will not reboot automatically either. System looks like it is going to reboot, everything shuts down but as system trys to restart everything freezes. Only way around it is to do a hard shutdown by holding the power button. Updated graphics card,hard drive and bios but still no luck.

Dec 21, 2015Okay, so I take blame for accidentally messing up my Windows 10. My NVIDIA graphics card wasn't working and wasn't letting me install my drivers. Well that aside, now that I installed older Drivers Windows 10 registers something horribly wrong. It wants to do a system repair. Okay, good, fine with me. But then when it gets to the page for me to select a keyboard layout, I have no mouse and my keyboard doesn't work either.
Anytime I press a button on them their backlights turn on, but then turn back off when I don't do anything with them.
I can't afford to get a new OS, I have no DVD Drive so I definitely can't do anything that requires a disk. What do I do?
