I am using wampserver to connect to a mysql database.
First I had to correct the portsettings, because W10 uses port 80 for http and so does localhost. But this was solved.
The second issue now is that connecting to the database gives a system error: Lost connection to MySQL server at 'waiting for initial communication packet', system error: 0
How to handle this?
What would be causing this?

I get the message when I try to install dotnetfx35setup which is supposed to install Microsoft .NET Framework 3.5.
I am having a big problem with my internet connection going down since I upgraded to Windows 10. It went down 4 times in the last hour and having to reboot to get it back is not the solution. Device Manager shows I have a Broadcom Netlink (TM) Gigabit Ethernet adapter. I have tried using the software update link for the adapter and it says I have the latest software but I am not sure if that is correct and I don't have a clue what driver I would need to update the adapter. When my internet connection goes down my WIFI connection is fine and I can connect to the internet with my mobile devices. My current driver according to device manager is 15.6.1.2

View 19 RepliesI have Windows 10 laptop hooked up to an ethernet connection which has been working well for the past 6 months. On 2/18/16 it stopped working. I traced the problem to the Qualcomm Atheros network Controller/ Killer E2200 Gigabit Ethernet Controller: Internet status > IPv4 Connectivity: No network connection IPv6 Connectivity: No network connection Clicked: diagnose --> System checked & reset, with IPv4 Connectivity and internet access restored.
This resolved the problem until 3/4, following a Windows 10 update. The above solution no longer works. Clicking 'Disable this net work device' and then enabling it again restores IPv4 Connectivity and internet access for a limited time but loading a new site or page is slower than it was prior to the emergence of this problem on 2/18, and then the connection is again lost after maybe 10 to 20 minutes.
I was update my windows, after that i turn off then turn on my laptop and then my wireless connection couldn't on even i tried to restart and try to click on, it cant be on, how to fix this things? I really need to connect to internet

I have managed to get PC 'A' to remotely connect to PC 'B' but cannot connect 'B' to 'A'.
Both PC's allow remote access.
I used the Win 10 Remote Desktop App.
Since I downloaded windows 10 I keep getting no internet connection before I log on. I called my internet provider and she had me checking a lot of things before she had me to type Device Manager in my search bar and look under networking to see if anything was off. Both my Ralink RT 3290 802.11 bgn Wifi Adapter and my Realtek PCle GBE Famili Controller had a yellow triangle with an exclamation mark in the middle beside them. She had me to right click on them to disable them, then go back and right click again to enable them. My internet connection came back but it keeps losing connection about once a week. I didn't have this problem before the download. This is a HP Desktop and I am connected wireless.
View 3 RepliesPerhaps I am a little daft on homegroups, but all I want is to have 3 ethernet connected machines in my house and one Wifi laptop to use a homegroup. However every time I attempt to create the homegroup and then join the homegroup with a second pc, the second machine tries to connect and then windows comes back with the message that "Windows no longer detects a home group on this network". So I delete the home group from the first machine, turn both machines off and try it again only to get the same message. I have let Windows trouble shooter try to solve the problem but of course it doesn't. I have made sure that my firewall (Bitdefender 2016) is not preventing the other IP addresses from seeing each other. I have done this 5 or 6 times to no avail. I thought it was supposed to be easy to get a few pc's to share files but this wonderful homegroup tool does not appear to work. I am using a Lynksys WRT 1900AC router with a Lynksy WRT 8 port switch and all the machines are connected via ethernet except the one laptop.

Once I replaced the faulty cable, things are working fine.However, I realized that I might have an internet service outage for any number of reasons, and then I would not be able to do any work locally. use my computer for lots of things that don't require internet connectivity. Music and video production, word processing, etc. how can I access my system if I have an internet connection issue?
View 1 RepliesSo I installed Windows 10 3 days ago via the USB provided by Microsoft through purchase on their online store. Since the install I have found that my WiFi connection, on startup, will work for maybe 2 minutes before dropping down to "Limited" and occasionally disconnecting entirely.
My PC is custom built and has worked perfectly fine for the almost 2 years I've had it. I've tried everything from resetting the router, having my ISP replace the router, uninstalling my Wireless Adapter from the Device Manager tool, installing the latest driver updates (Windows 8 for Rosewill RNX-N250PCe) and even running the ipconfig release/renew (which didn't release for some reason.)
Since I upgraded to 10, I can not connect to my virtualbox remote consoles like in win 7/8.1. Have Win 10 on two system and they act the same. I can rdp from Win 7 to the Win 10.
View -1 RepliesI ran into something strange this morning when I logged onto my computer: I couldn't connect to my wireless network anymore.
Fairly standard, I thought I'd go reset the router and have it be done with, but then I noticed that my phones were both still fully connected. (2 android phones on different OS versions). So my router itself wasn't have a problem, and I was still receiving internet.
I restarted my computer, as any good human being does, and the problem persisted. I then 'forgot the network' and restarted. Typing in my password again and trying to connect, didn't work.
I then remembered I had recently updated Windows 10 #sillyme (Not like I had a choice anyway x_x) So I thought maybe the driver had been updated. Nope. I even tried uninstalling the driver anyway and restarting. Nothing changed.
OK, so then maybe it's my hardware that's going bad? Luckily I have a dual boot So I booted up Ubuntu instead of windows and bam, everything is working perfectly. Absolutely no problems with connecting to my network.
Can't connect to WiFi network. I've already tried: restarting computer, forgetting the network, and uninstalling the driver. Also, it's not hardware as I can connect on the same machine using a different OS.
I'm using my lumia 625 (which has windows phone 10 build 10536) to connect my laptop (windows 10 too) to the internet using bluetooth (less battery consuming & has smaller rang = more security) , the problem that i'm facing is that I can't set my connection as limited like wifi connections. I have always automatic updates and I only have a very limited bandwidth. And is there any tool usb tether my phone to my laptop?
View 2 RepliesDecided to upgrade my Surface Pro 2 to Windows 10 today (got the Pro 3 so this is kind of a test toy now) and after the upgrade I have no network connections.
Device manager shows it is installed and working properly however there are no network adapters listed in Network Connections.
I tried plugging my Cat5 Dongle in and it seemed to recognize and install drivers etc... but again, its listed as working properly in device manager but its not showing up in Network connections.
I updated from windows 7 to windows 10 yesterday and ever since I haven't been able to connect to the internet. I always get a message that pops up that says XFast LAN Driver Failed and it says it needs to be re-installed. It took me ages just to get it to uninstall but now it won't let me reinstall the XFast LAN Driver from my ASUS MOBO driver disk. I've tried everything to get the internet to work properly but with no successful results.
View 1 RepliesI recently got the media creation tool for windows 10 and did make an ISO file so i can install windows 10 on my other laptop. But recently my internet is slow, a youtube video 5 min at 240p waiting 2-3 mins to be able to load without buffering...
So i was going to ask, is it possible, since i got the ISO file, to install windows 10 without internet connection ? I don't think there is anything additional to download since i got the iso file ready up, which is basically the windows ?

While I troubleshooted in network and sharing center I got:
There might be a problem with the driver for the Ethernet adapter
And
There might be a problem with the driver for the wi-fi adaptor
I am using Windows 10...
My PC would be connected to WiFi, but I wouldn't be able to go on any site. I restarted my PC and the damn thing locked up on the HP logo screen! So I had to hold the power button to turn of my laptop.
View 1 RepliesI upgraded my ageing Dell Inspiron 530 desktop PC this morning from Win7 Ultimate to Win10 Pro. The PC is connected to the router via ethernet cable.All seems fine in terms of the OS, but I have no internet access. I know the router's OK as my other devices are fine.When I run the troubleshooter it flags up "There may be a problem with the driver for the Local Area Adapter".Digging further, it seems the issue is "Windows couldn't automatically bind the IP protocol stack to the network adapter"
Looking at Services, I found the Wired AutoConfig and WLAN AutoConfig services weren't running were set to Manual. I changed these to Automatic and rebooted, but still no joy.The network adapter is an Intel 82652V-2 10/100 and Device Manager says it's working normally and the driver is up to date.
I bought a new PC a few weeks ago with Window 10. Worked fine for a while and now when I switch on and type my password I get a message in the bottom right hand corner of the screen stating "Failed to connect to a Windows Service"
I googled this problem and the advice given was to run the command prompt as an administrator and type netsh>winsock reset
However, when I right click on the command prompt icon and click run as an administrator nothing happens. A few minutes later an error message pops up on the screen stating "The service did not respond to the start or control request in a timely fashion"
If I left, click on the command prompt icon the command window opens immediately.
HP 1512 all in one printer only has a usb connection (not wireless) It was connected and worked in Win 7 but would not work in Win 10. Win 10 does not recognize the connection during installation.
I followed the directions in the printer support, disconnected and reconnected, uninstalled and reinstalled, got HP to connect to my computer, and worked on it for 2 days. Now I have no Printer Support files (HP Techs deleted too much?)
