since some days my wifi has stopped working.If I click on Wifi icon it shows only ONE (max two) NETWORK:And I live in a building with 20+ networks, as you can see from WiFi Analyzer (I'm the red one on the right).If I deactive/reactive Wifi with fn+f12, it goes to Airplane mode and to Wifi mode again and it eventually shows all the networks/My Wifi is on the top. If it's saved, Windows connects to it and then it drops the connection; if it's not saved and I try to connect, it says "You're not able to connect to this network".The fun fact is that after some seconds every network disappear and only one is showed (probably the neighbour one..I dunno).
I've already tried to HARD-RESET the notebook keeping the power button for 10/15sec with the laptop turned off.I've already tried to follow these instructions [URL] ... updating drivers (Intel 18.12.0.3, 18.12.1.2, 18.30.0.9 [Windows 10 default], 18.32.0 [Lastest drivers]) with no success. Everytime I install a new drivers, I uninstalled the previous one + Wireless software + reboot.
I tried to uncheked "Allow this computer to turn off this device to save power" on my Wifi hardware settings without success.The HP Network support says I didn't choose a Wifi (Really? The problem is I don't see my Wifi on the list!).This is not related to a new Windows 10 upgrade since I've installed it months ago and It's the first time I've this problem :/ It always worked
I tried different settings too/I changed channel, I set 802.11g on my router, APSD off on the router.I set "Magic packet off, ad hoc QoS off, U-APSD off, fat channel off,incremental throughput off, HT mode off" on the card setting without success. Nothing chaned.The Hardware test doesn't detect any failure. If I go close to the router, it shows my network with full power connection and it connects to it. Then I go back to my bedroom (probably 3/4 meters far), it KEEPS the connection for 30/40min and It drops the connection and I can't reconnect to it anymore. It always worked perfectly in my room in these months (I bought it in March 2015), so the distance is not a problem, I'm 6/7m far from the router.In this case It shows my Network (Connected) and the neighbour network...and the other 20+ networks???
The only way I have is USB tethering with my Nexus 5.I tried the Wifi connection on Elementary Freya (Ubuntu linux based OS) and it shows 20+ networks available on the list. It has not connection problem with my Wifi, but sometimes it stops working, the webpages stop loading and I must reboot Wifi to reconnect to it (usually after 30/40min using it).What's the problem? Is my Wifi card broken?

Dec 22, 2015I got onto my computer this morning and noticed that it had rebooted. Figured out it updated the latest patch. However, from that point on, I haven't been able to get anything from my computer. Wireless won't work, can connect to any bluetooth device, and none of my USB thumb drives will show up. I have tried logging back out, as well as rebooting. Nothing seems to be working. Since I can't connect to anything, I can't update any drivers (writing this on my mac... )
I tried uninstalling the patch, and it won't. Just spins. Tried to do a system restore, but it won't open up the dialog to allow me to choose. Tried to do diagnostics on the wireless driver and it just hangs. I have to shut it down.

Aug 20, 2015 When I first installed Win 10 it was working great got my wifi connection working and everything now it seems I cannot get connected. I have tried several times, putting it mildly. I put in the Modem/router address and password and then I go to the site that shows you the wifi connections and mine is not there. But there are about 10 or 12 that are there. I have tried this several times like I said. And I have rebooted to see if that did anything and it made no diff.
It seems from some of the reading I have done this might be a problem caused by an update. It worked great for several days. And while I am thinking of it can you delete all those other wi fi addresses some how.

We live in the Philippines so these devices can get quite warm...After relocating and hooking up all the wires, cables etc. My wife's computer a Dell, would not connect to the Wireless modem. I checked and replaced all wires with new ones, and rechecked the connections, everything was okay...I use a MAC which is still working fine, and connected right away, so I know the Signal is getting out. I did the "ping" command and it is not going thru. Tried everything I know, cannot get her wireless to work. I have a Red X on her adapter, in the Network Connections dialog box, "Not Connected"...Her system uses a Broadcom 802.11n adapter, which I replaced just recently...When I registered I added all the Dell system info, CPU info etc..

I have installed windows 10 preview via windows update . windows 10 runs terribly slow and jittery on my netbook.I have tried to rollback to win 8.1, recovery options etc but none of these options work all say they have encountered a problem.
i have installed the wifi driver but can not pickup any WiFi devices. my usb will not detect a usb modem.I have created a uefi bootable usb with a windows 8.1 64bit install but it will not install 64bit to my system as the cpu is 64bit but the efi is 32 bit. I tried with a 32bit win 8.1 but 32bit is not supported by microsoft with uefi install.

Dec 9, 2015I started my PC in a new premises with a Wireless modem, I have two other PC's connected.
When I started the PC it saw the wireless network and the option came up to connect and there was a tick in the "Connect Automatically" box.
I selected OK but got a message "unable to connect".
I did not get the opportunity to enter the Password/Key.
Now the PC will not connect to the Network nor will and Diagnose and repair fix anything.
BTW the Ethernet adaptor has been disabled.
The laptop I am sending this from is next to the PC so the wireless signal is okay.
Why Is Wireless Network Slowing Down After Upgrading
Nov 1, 2015I have two 2008 Mac Pro computers running a bootcamp setup (OSX El Capitan/Windows) and have a 50 Mbps cable connection with Linksys WRT 1900AC wireless router. The wireless throughput on both machines worked flawlessly in Windows 7 but after upgrading both to Windows 10 the throughput dropped from 50 Mbps down to apprx 1.5 Mbps. Both computers use a Broadcom 5200 series 80211n chipset which are running the Microsoft signed version 5.100.245.200 driver. The wired network runs at full speed, and in OSX both wired and wireless connections run at full speed. I've seen a number of others report the same issue, but have never seen a fix that seems to work. I've tried updating the driver through Windows but get a OS message stating that the best driver is already installed. At the moment I have Ethernet cables strung across the living room floor, and would like to get back to wireless.

Jan 27, 2016From a PC (called PC1 later on; running W10), I do not see other PCs or multimedia boxes connected on my local network.
Using 192.xx.yy.zz doesn't work.
From a W10 tablet PC (called PCt later on), I see other connected devices: Dune HD and PC1. From PCt I can even navigate into PC1 directories.
In PC1 Network and Sharing Center, I cannot enable file sharing.
When clicking on the button to activate it and then saving the changes, I notice, when reopening the parameters window, that it hasn't been changed. It remains disabled.
The "computer browser" Service will not start because of dependencies (1068 error).

In fact - I can do virtually everything (League; Steam; Skype; etc) except use any OS feature that requires logging in -
e.g. Mail, User Accounts, Shop, etc. Then it says something along the lines of "Cannot use this service without an internet connection - please connect and try again." When I run Network Diagnostics as the prompt recommends - it says I am connected and cannot find a problem.
It doesn't always happen - but it seems to be determined on start-up. If I restart it now it might be working next launch - but 75% of the time it will encounter the same issue. It's been happening for months now but I've sort of gotten used to using my phone to check my emails - but I've now encountered an issue with one of my hard drives being unable to be searched (tried indexing, etc) and the only step I've found that I haven't tried says it could be a corrupted user account - but I cannot update my user account without "connecting to the internet". -_-
The system is up to date. No driver updates available.

So I would like to remove the slower from machines wireless connected. I searched the forum, and got a solution, the command below, but the answer, as can be read, is that the filter does not exist in the system. I am attaching a screen that shows GVT-15DF at the list of connections.

Feb 10, 2016I have just bought an HP laptop running windows 10. I cannot connect to internet wirelessly as when I select my network connection it requests username and password. (Screen shot attached)I only have a network password for my connection and have never had or been requested for a username.
We have a couple of laptops at home and they connect with password only no problem. It is only this laptop that requests both. I can find no way past it and cannot connect. It connects via cable fine but thats obviously not ideal for portable laptop.

Jul 31, 2015This error is why i could never run Windows 8.1 on my machine and it seems to of transferred over to windows 10 too. My PC boots fine everything's working but usually if i am doing something like watching a YouTube video or on my PS4 playing online my internet will cut off and my wireless with have the Square box with a red cross, if i unplug my adapter and plug it back in it comes back on. But its a bit frustrating when I'm playing a multiplayer game on my PC or chatting on Skype for my adapter to crash. I've had this issue with my old netgear wireless adapter and this one.
It happens around 2-5 times an hour, i looked it up and I've tried many fixes some of which include:
Setting power settings to Max Performance.
Setting the Adapter to not turn off to save power
Reinstalling drivers
Turning off Bluetooth
I have looked in the Windows Event Log and i seem to get 2 events every time this occurs and they say:
WLAN Extensibility Module has stopped.
Module Path: C:WINDOWSSystem32cmihvsrv64.dll
and
The network interface "ASUS USB-AC53 802.11ac Wireless USB Adapter" has begun resetting. There will be a momentary disruption in network connectivity while the hardware resets.
Reason: The network driver requested that it be reset.
This network interface has reset 15 time(s) since it was last initialized.
I like Windows 10 but i can't use it if my internet keeps cutting out randomly.

Aug 8, 2015So after 2 failed attempts at installing Windows 10 on an Acer Aspire Z5801 PC, I finally managed to succeed. However, a new problem appeared after installation.The Wireless network adapter went completely missing. Windows does not detect its existence at all, it's like the PC doesn't have one installed. It doesn't appear in Device manager + isn't listed as an "unknown device". It's simply not there at all.The wired network adapter is there, but not wireless.
Installing the driver from Acer's website - I had to select Windows 7 64-bit as the version is all that's available for my adapter.I used a USB stick to transfer the setup files to the Acer PC. It said it successfully installed but still didn't appear, even after a reboot.Used a USB wireless adapter (Netgear) to see if it was an issue with how Windows 10 handles Wi-Fi - nope, that installed and worked fine.Scanning for Windows updates after using the USB adapter. Some updates were found and installed (no driver ones though), but still no Wi-Fi.
In the end, I reverted back to Windows 7 and what do you know? The adapter got recognised again.The USB adapter isn't a viable solution since it's required by another PC. I just used it for testing purposes.

Oct 6, 2015I recently brought a new wireless network adapter for usb (Asus usb N14) and since I've started using it the connection is really unstable, I'm on the same connection on my iphone and it's just fine but on my pc it's really struggling, I've ran speed tests and it'll work fine when randomly it'll just go down, I'll still be connected to the router but have no internet. Right now looking at the wifi graph in task manager it literally going straight up for a few seconds then straight back to 0 when downloading a file, and I'm unable to download any large files because it'll just fail after about 30 seconds.
I've updated it to the latest version with no change in performance or reliability. One other thing I'm at Uni so other people will be using the connection and I've no access to the router unfortunately.
