View 5 RepliesI recently changed my wifi Mac Id using Technetium as my original ID got blocked. I had to reinstall the drivers and restart the PC to get the Network card working. But that it is fine, the Wifi connection disconnects every 5 minutes or so. I have a Broadcomm 802.11n adapter Driver version: 7.35.290 dated 6/07/2015.
View 3 RepliesMy son disconnected the wifi on his laptop. I know it is in Parameters - Reseau et internet (network - internet) - Wifi but the button to activate won't move. Don't know what to do.
View 7 RepliesI'm having some troubles with my VPN at the moment, and customer supports staff has told me to "change your default gateway / network DHCP range in your router to..." How do I do this?
View 1 RepliesI just replaced my old router (Linksys WRT54G) to a Linksys x1000. However, my download speed is slower than the previous router I had. I tried the following things to resolve this problem:
Upgrading to the latest firmware version;Updated my wireless network card drivers to the latest version;Switching between different channels (channel 1 and 5 and default channel). I have set Network Mode to: Mixed and I set Channel Width to Automatic (20 or 40 MHz).
When using my old router I had an average download speed of 1 MB/sec while using the new router I can't get pas 500 KB/sec. In both cases I was sitting next to the router.
Oh, and by the way, there's also a port on the router named DSL. It looks like it doesn't matter whether I connect that port to my modem. How come? What's its function?
i have been suffering slow WiFi speeds for a while now and sky have replaced my router.
I have two computers both running windows 10 with the latest build
Now since i started with this router i have lost my home network and i have not changed anything on the computer
Some times i can see my other computer but not able to connect to it. sometimes i can see nothing. sometimes i can see the sky router and sometimes not.
My network is set to private on both computers and file and printing is turned on.
All i have done is plugged in a new router.
Sometimes i can see on my network a device called AirTies WAP what is this.
After doing a google search i found that AirTies WAP is something to do with my Sky wireless booster. is that right.
I am not able to see the other computer it says error 0x80070035
I have an ASUS 2 speed router - it worked fine in Win 7, allowing me to target the 5.2 MHz stream toward my TV for streaming, and use the 2.5 MHz speed for the computers, tablets & phones.
Well, I lost my motherboard, and purchased a CPU with Windows 10. I cannot tell what the router is doing - Windows 10 seems to think I do not require this information, and will not allow me to even SEE the router settings, let alone change them. The stream to the TV seems fine - the CPU internet is slow.
Anyway - how I can access the router settings!

I have three computers wired to my D-Link DSL-504T modem/router.
Since upgrading two of my PCs to Widows 10 Pro (activated, clean install) I can no longer get reliable access to my routers configuration screen (192.168.1.1) through these PCs, although my third computer that is still running WinXP has no problem at all. Internet access on all three computers is unaffected and works perfectly.
The two W10 computers get to the router login screen, accept my username and password and then try and display the next status page whereupon the following happens:
Firefox: Stops with 'The connection was reset' error
Edge and Internet Explorer: Sit waiting forever (or as long as I'm prepared to wait!)
Chrome: Occasionally displays part of the status page, but mostly just sits there waiting.
The WinXP PC just sails along, displaying every page instantly and putting two fingers up to its more modern brethren!
I've reset the router and that makes no difference. I've turned off the Windows firewall and that makes no difference. It can't be my AV software (NOD32) as that is only running on one of the W10 PCs. I've flushed the DNS and tried just about everything I can think of and still the two W10 machines fail.
Just upgraded to Windows 10 (big mistake??) and lost WiFi. Norton scan report indicates IP address has disappeared from adapter.
View 1 RepliesHow or where can I change my registered email address for windows 10 preview?
From the start when Windows started with their preview I did an registration with a email address in used in that time.
Now, running windows 10 as an insider and geregisterd with a Microsoft account and using a new Microsoft mail address, in settings my PC is saying: Get Insider Preview builds.
Now I'm thinking if I make my geregisterd email the same as the one I'm using with the Microsoft account, this will be solved.
Is there a way to change the E-Mail Address I use to verify my Windows Account ?
View 1 RepliesI managed to change the search engine to Google in the new Win10 search located in the menu and also in Edge. However, the little address toolbar, that can be added to the taskbar by putting a checkmark in the address toolbar after right clicking on the taskbar and choosing toolbars has suddenly switched to Bing as the search engine. I would love to have this set at Google as it always was. I find this toolbar so much more convenient than the one that came with the new win10 menu. I have already turned off Cortana over there.

View 4 RepliesI have my laptop at work and have had no trouble connecting the company WiFi (they have Guest WiFi and a WiFi where you need to enter your company provided Username and Password). I have been connecting using my Username and password. Today I had to change my company login password. Now when I try to connect my laptop I get a "can't connect" message because the password saved in my laptop is no longer valid. But I can't find a place in Win10 to enter my new password.
I remember the first time I logged onto the company WiFi a Windows popup came up asking for my Username and Password (which was saved so I didn't need to enter it again - until now). This time not getting the popup - it just says "can't connect".
Running Windows 10 on a Dell Latitutde I was trying to setup a Netgear Wifi Extender because the Fios Router does not reach all the way to the other side of the house. I did the setup (so I thought) the way the manual told me and my computer was trying to connect to the extender, but it just stayed in "Connecting..." For a long long time. Eventually I gave up and thought I'd hit the reset button on the extender and try again.
Now my wifi adapter finds NO networks. All my other devices see all the networks.
The only other time this has ever happened I had accidentally hit the network adapter switch on the side of the PC, so I'm 100% sure that's not the problem and that it is 'on' in the settings. I've tried restarting the pc several times as well as toggling the adapter on/off, airplane mode on/off, and the switch on the PC on/off.. And it still sees no networks..
I have just replaced my WiFi card from (BCM943228HMB) to BCM94352HMB. Before replacing my WiFi card i done the following:
Made computer boot in safe mode with networking.
After that i replaced the card, then booted into windows 10 (safe mode with networking) and checked device manager. Everything was OK (See attached picture). I then tried to turn on WiFi, but it does not turn on.
I went to see my daughter and after she resumed her computer from hibernate (it had been off for about 2 days) a message popped up saying its ip address had been detected in use by another computer.
I suspect it was my cell phone that when in range asked for an ip address and the router, thinking the hibernated laptop wasn't using that ip address any longer gave it to my cell phone. Then after her system resumed from hibernate, it continued to use the ip address it had when it hibernated.
Does windows renew its dhcp ip lease on resume? Can it tell if the lease expired?
I have internet service from AT&T which worked great until I updated to windows 10. My pc now connects to the wifi just find, I can download updates, but I can not browse a web page. When I go into open a web page I get an error that the page can not be displayed. If I vpn to my work it works just fine then. I have reset the browser settings, created a new account on my pc and nothing has worked.
View 6 RepliesI have no wifi after upgrading to Windows 10 from Windows 7. Looking at Device Manager, I believe my Network Adapter is Intel(R) 82578DC Gigabit Network Connection. Looking online, I do not find a driver for Windows 10.
View 4 RepliesAll of a sudden I get "your device does not support Miracast" and wifi is gone !
I don't want Miracast.

i have tried connecting to my school's apartment however it always goes to no connections are available and then airplane mode and shows connections are available. the Wi-Fi connects just fine in all other areas of the school byt not in my apartment. The apartment is located inside the school and there are a couple of access points. I can connect to my friends Wii-U just fine but not my laptop? And when I troubleshoot, it says "Problem with router or access point.
View 1 RepliesI've installed windows 10, but I've got a strange problem. My WiFi connection randomly gets limited for one second. It isn't so bad, when I'm browsing, but if I wanna download something... that's terrible :S 'cause when the wifi stops, the download stops too... What can I do? I think it's not my laptops problem, because before win10 - on windows 8.1 - it worked fine. If it matters something, it gets limited in about every 5 or 10 minutes.
View 9 RepliesI was wondering if it's possible to utilize both WiFi and ethernet in tandem. I'm pretty sure some of you are going to tell me that I can only access the internet through one of these, up to my bandwidth limit, but that's not what I mean.
I'd like to access the internet through my WiFi connection, yet have a wired connection through my router to access the files on the other computers in my house.
