So yesterday my wi-fi started to turn off randomly for no reason, its not my internet connection becouse it works on other devices. Also i already tried ticking off power saving option on my network adapter, it worked for a while i thought, but after i restarted my laptop even though its still ticked off, its still turning off randomly.. (Also i noticed it turns off when i plug or unplug my mouse?)
Other problems i have:
1. Cant set opera as my default browser it asks me if i want to set it as default every time i open it and i always click yes..
2. Cant turn my touchpad off even though when i use fn+f9 it says its turned off..

I've recently upgraded my home PC from Windows 7 to Windows 10. I've been using a Realtek USB Wi-Fi adapter to connect to the internet. After installing the new OS and running it for the first time, I couldn't connect to my home network.
After reinstalling the drivers supplies by the manufacturer and reattaching the adapter, I attempted to again connect to the network. The "Verifying and connecting" message displayed, but after closing Settings and returning to the same page, all of the Wi-Fi settings have disappeared, like the drivers have crashed.

I got my new Wi-Fi adapter today (TL-WDN4200) and in order to access its 5Ghz connecting capabilities, you have to download the updated drivers off the TP-Link website. I did just that. However when I go to device manager, right click my WiFi adapter and update the drivers. This error message appears when I click on the driver file: [URL] ...
I have windows 10 64 bit. Will that be the problem? since TP-Link has not released any official drivers for Windows 10 yet? Will I need to revert back to Windows 8.1 to access the 5Ghz connection?

Whats going on with my tablet (WinBook). I've installed W10 few weeks ago since then never had any problems with it, but today I noticed I cannot connect to wifi. it's gone from Network settings, if I open "connection" icon on task bar I only see Airplane mode..Network adapter from Device manager is also gone. What to do now...
I did try this - connect to internet via Bluetooth from Lumia phone and with Intel Driver Update Utility scanned tablet, only thing it found is update for Graphics driver.. what else can I do?

Ok so got a new usb WiFi adapter. I installed the driver first which I downloaded on my phone then transferred to my pc via usb cable. Have tried reinstalling multiple times, still won't work. I'm guessing the problem is there's no win 10 drivers for it. NOTE: I did have a old usb adapter working with no driver before but not even that's working even with drivers uninstalled. The new adapter shows up in device manager with a problem indicated with a code 10.But not in network devices.

I've had some issues with a BSOD for over a year now, first when I was running Windows 8 and now still with Windows 10. It first appeared after I got a USB wi-fi adapter which I replaced with an adapter that connected to the motherboard, but the BSODs have not stopped.
I inquired about it a few months ago on several other forums. It was apparently related to some driver that the USB adapter installed (the name of which I can no longer remember), but I was unable to uninstall it or delete it without my wi-fi becoming unusable. I'm also unable to use a wired connection in my apartment, though I'm not sure that would even be possible if I deleted the driver. The error code I get is "bad_pool_caller", but I believe I used to get "irql_not_less_or_equal" as well.
For some background, the BSOD usually appears when I'm doing something intensive over the internet like watching video on YouTube or Twitch, streaming audio, etc.
Here's my debug folder: COLIN-PC-Wed_09_02_2015_214036_86.zip

OS: Windows 10 Home, 64-bit
PC: HP Pavillion g6 notebook
Network adapters: Ralink RT5390R 8-2.11bgn Wi-Fi Adapter (Date: 5/18/2015, Version: 5.0.57.0), and Realtek PCle FE Family Controller (Date: 4/01/2015, Version: 9.1.401.2015)
Problem: Every once in a while, I'll lose my internet connection. When I click the wifi icon on the taskbar, there will be no networks listed. The only way to fix the problem is to go the Device Manager, disable the Ralink Wi-Fi Adapter and then re-enable it. This fixes the problem anywhere from a of couple minutes to a couple of hours, then it happens again.
Solutions I've tried: I've tried doing a system restore but it failed and there are no more restore points. I've tried uninstalling the Ralink driver, downloading a new copy, and reinstalling it.

For 2 weeks I've been trying to upgrade my Asus G50VT laptop from Windows 7 home to WIndows 10 home. I have tried over 5 times using Windows Update and several times using the Microsoft USB/DVD installer. Everything downloads fine; and gets to the black screen with the "installing drivers" with a percentage going around in a circle. It gets stuck at 32% every time. I have to force shutdown the laptop and it rolls back to Windows 7...
There are no new BIOS updates available from Asus (laptop was released in 2009) the latest BIOS is already installed and from 2012. I don't see anything for windows 10 on the Asus Website.I have all external usb devices removed. I have tried shutting off my WiFi adapter and disabling / uninstalling Norton Security/Anti-Virus.I have sucessfully upgraded 2 other machines from windows 8.1 to 10 with no problem.

I have my laptop at work and have had no trouble connecting the company WiFi (they have Guest WiFi and a WiFi where you need to enter your company provided Username and Password). I have been connecting using my Username and password. Today I had to change my company login password. Now when I try to connect my laptop I get a "can't connect" message because the password saved in my laptop is no longer valid. But I can't find a place in Win10 to enter my new password.
I remember the first time I logged onto the company WiFi a Windows popup came up asking for my Username and Password (which was saved so I didn't need to enter it again - until now). This time not getting the popup - it just says "can't connect".

Running Windows 10 on a Dell Latitutde I was trying to setup a Netgear Wifi Extender because the Fios Router does not reach all the way to the other side of the house. I did the setup (so I thought) the way the manual told me and my computer was trying to connect to the extender, but it just stayed in "Connecting..." For a long long time. Eventually I gave up and thought I'd hit the reset button on the extender and try again.
Now my wifi adapter finds NO networks. All my other devices see all the networks.
The only other time this has ever happened I had accidentally hit the network adapter switch on the side of the PC, so I'm 100% sure that's not the problem and that it is 'on' in the settings. I've tried restarting the pc several times as well as toggling the adapter on/off, airplane mode on/off, and the switch on the PC on/off.. And it still sees no networks..

I have just replaced my WiFi card from (BCM943228HMB) to BCM94352HMB. Before replacing my WiFi card i done the following:
Made computer boot in safe mode with networking.
After that i replaced the card, then booted into windows 10 (safe mode with networking) and checked device manager. Everything was OK (See attached picture). I then tried to turn on WiFi, but it does not turn on.

I had this issue on Windows 8.1, but never resolved it. It's not a massive issue, but when I boot up these adapters slow down the network connecting to the internet for around 30 seconds. I only use an Ethernet connection so, do not need these adapters.
I've tried disabling them and uninstalling them, but they always reappear!

I have been connecting my PC to my router via a Ethernet cable and have had no issues but I want to move the PC to another room and run it off a wireless adapter. I tried a TP-Link USB adapter but it didn't work so I switched it for a Netgear one. That doesn't work either which makes me think there is something not right with my PC. I have installed and uninstalled multiple times, tired different USB ports but the Wireless Adapter doesn't seem to get an IP address and there are no Wireless settings in the control panel. But there are no Wireless setting and no connectivity to the Adapter.

I just bought an ASUS PCE-N53 PCI-E adapter for my PC that I built several months ago. Previously, I was just using ethernet. Put the card in my PCI-E 1 slot, and installed the drivers from the installation disc, but nothing shows up in Device Manager and I have no wireless option in my Network Connections settings. why it's not showing up, minus it being dead out of the box? I can't try it in my PCI-E 2 slot because my graphics card is in the way.

So after 2 failed attempts at installing Windows 10 on an Acer Aspire Z5801 PC, I finally managed to succeed. However, a new problem appeared after installation. The Wireless network adapter went completely missing. Windows does not detect its existence at all, it's like the PC doesn't have one installed. It doesn't appear in Device manager + isn't listed as an "unknown device". It's simply not there at all.The wired network adapter is there, but not wireless.
Installing the driver from Acer's website - I had to select Windows 7 64-bit as the version is all that's available for my adapter.I used a USB stick to transfer the setup files to the Acer PC. It said it successfully installed but still didn't appear, even after a reboot.Used a USB wireless adapter (Netgear) to see if it was an issue with how Windows 10 handles Wi-Fi - nope, that installed and worked fine.Scanning for Windows updates after using the USB adapter. Some updates were found and installed (no driver ones though), but still no Wi-Fi.
In the end, I reverted back to Windows 7 and what do you know? The adapter got recognised again. The USB adapter isn't a viable solution since it's required by another PC. I just used it for testing purposes.

I recently brought a new wireless network adapter for usb (Asus usb N14) and since I've started using it the connection is really unstable, I'm on the same connection on my iphone and it's just fine but on my pc it's really struggling, I've ran speed tests and it'll work fine when randomly it'll just go down, I'll still be connected to the router but have no internet. Right now looking at the wifi graph in task manager it literally going straight up for a few seconds then straight back to 0 when downloading a file, and I'm unable to download any large files because it'll just fail after about 30 seconds.
I've updated it to the latest version with no change in performance or reliability. One other thing I'm at Uni so other people will be using the connection and I've no access to the router unfortunately.

I decided to take the plunge and install win 10 on one of my machines. Used windows update to install build 10074 from windows 7.
Everything seems to have worked fine except my network adapter (onboard Realtek thing) isn't being detected.
Figured this might be a driver thing so I installed various versions of the realtek drivers both win 7 and win 8 ones and these seem to install fine but then cannot detect the card. The installer gives an error that the card may be in "Deep Sleep mode".
Once installed the Device "REaltek PCIe GBE Family Controller" appears in device manager with no issues or conflicts, but nothing is in the Network Connections window when I go through Network and Sharing centre.
I have tried booting to the trouble shooting menu and selecting load unsigned drivers but this has not worked.
I rolled back to Win 7 and the card came back and all connectivity was restored. Re-installed win10 and back to the same issue.

I have DELL Inspiron 14R N4010. Automatic upgraded to Windows 10 Home. Previously I have Windows 7 Home Premium. After upgrade I didn't see the wired network adapter. However my wifi is working fine and can access Internet. I tried to re-install the LAN driver (Atheros AR8152 PCI-E Fast Ethernet Controller Driver); it ask for upgrade/repair/de-install means driver is already present in the system. In spite of that upgraded the dirver (got the upgraded driver setup from Dell). Unfortunately, the device is still not visible in device manager.
