I installed Windows 10 Enterprise and after 30 minutes, after one restart, LAN stopped working. I have internet connection but I can't acces my LAN (laptop and storage server). My PC has a Realtek PCI GBE Family Controller.
I tried to update the driver, but it is already up to date..
My internet worked fine and I didn't do any changes to it up until it stopped working. I've managed to fix the internet access to allow me to access the internet on my laptop through wi-fi but network access still says no internet access. Websites work however ethernet does not work! I can't connect online on my playstation because ethernet doesn't work. I've tried disabling and enabling the ethernet. I checked the cables, I re-installed the drivers and i turned off and on the router more than I could count.
The internet works on my laptop however a connection test on my playstation 3 says obtain ip address succeeded and internet connection failed. So I can't play online. I am absolutely certain the playstation 3 is not fault as I checked vigurously the settings and I've put in the right connections, however it still does not work? Should I buy new cables for the router?
I can see that this seems to be a common problem on here! I have a Lacie cloudbox NAS drive. On WIn7 pro it worked just fine. Windows say the drive in the network group and I could access it like a normal folder.
After I did the Win10 upgrade and it initially worked fine. For other reasons I had to do a fresh install of WIn10 and wipe the hard drive and start from scratch. Ever since then I've not been able to access my NAS drive.
For privacy reasons, during the installation, I turned off many of the sharing and 'open' features of Win10 and always log in with a local account.
I have a home network that includes-Two Windows 7 PCsTwo Linux machinesA Brother MFC7820N networked multifunction printer..All the above are on wired connections. Then there's an 802.11n wireless link for laptops and media devices.I'm just setting up a new machine that's running Windows 10 Home, using the wireless network. I was annoyed to find that Brother don't have a full-function Windows 10 driver for the 7820N that supports scanning, but the Brother site says the built-in drivers in Win 10 should work for basic printing.
Problem: I successfully added the printer device to Windows 10 (at the 3rd attempt) using the "manual advanced" method. The printer has an entry in the hosts file, and was added by host name.The printer fails to print, with a "not responding" type message. The driver also can't pick up the status info from the printer.
What's really weird is-I can ping the printer from the W10 box (and the other machines) by either IP address or hostname.However, this printer has a web interface. I can access this from any of the Windows 7 machines, but the Windows 10 machine says "web site failed to respond" or somesuch. This happens with any of: Edge, IE11, or Chrome browsers.I can't even make a manual connection (telnet to port 80) from the Win 10 machine (timeout).The Windows 10 machine CAN access all the other devices on the home network, including the web servers (Apache) on both the Linux boxes.
This looks like the web access to that particular address is being blocked somehow. I have tried disabling my AntiVirus package (Kaspersky), but that makes no difference. Is Win10 perhaps detecting an "old" web server on the printer and refusing to talk to it? (and why would that prevent printing using lpd?)
Nothing is working to get my computer to connect to the internet again. It was working fine yesterday so don't know what was changed. All other devices can connect. Using my laptop to search.
IPv4 is connected but I can't get IPv6 to connect at all. No error messages anywhere.
Fixed. Updated drivers worked. Just had to restart a couple times for it to work.
Other devices in the house seem to be accessing it normally, so I suppose it's an issue on this end. Sometimes, when I restart, I can access it, but it disappears after a while.

After purchasing a new computer and upgrading to WN 10, I had allsorts of trouble getting my scanner and printer to work -- finally got that solved, but then when I try to log on to the internet I get the "Hmmm ..." message. I can't access the net or e-mail, and my wife who has an I Pad and is using a wireless router can't access the net or e-mail either. My grandson is not available for a few days.

I still have Network access to view the Windows 10 machine from the rest of my network. . Restarted the router and modem and still no internet access. Device manager says no issues with my Realtek Network card.
View 4 RepliesSo i was accessing the internet fine on my computer no more than an hour ago on the same network im on my laptop now with and then i restarted my computer and it give me limited access and i cannot connect to the internet. I reinstalled my wifi card driver and that didn't work. The Network and Internet troubleshooter said it was the driver and could not fix the problem itself.
My wifi card is a TP-LINK TL-WDN4800.
I have an issue on both my Windows 10 laptop and desktop PC. Both are DELL and new. Suddenly, my PC wouldn't connect to the internet using ANY wifi network. For this reason, I eliminated my WiFi modem - because the same issue happened when using my phone tethering. Using the Ethernet cable worked. Then a few weeks later my laptop has the same issue, but with this I can't plug in an ethernet port, because it dosen't have one. Both computers had IP Vanish VPN (probably nothing to do with it but thought I'd mention). I believe these issues happened after updates.
I've tried disabling firewall, antivirus, uninstalling Vanish VPN, using cmd from things I've seen recommended, updated network adapter on desktop.
I have two Windows 10 PCs on the same home network and I can't access the default shares on either one of them, I keep getting 'Access denied'.

In the previous edition like windows 7 or 8, I can access easily by enter 10.63.0.250 in the Address box in File Explorer or in Run windows (Window button + R). However, I have got trouble since I upgraded to Window 10. The notification is "The network path was not found", although I can ping to this and another PC can access the network storage in File Explorer.
View 8 RepliesRecently my laptop has a boot error and auto recovery and maintenances could not solve the issue. So I reset the laptop but kept the files and now it boots perfectly fine however none of the internet is working. It shows that I am connected to the wifi but there is no access whatsoever. I even uninstaled my network adapters and even tried a wired conmection and everything seems to not work. All my other devices are connected to the router perfectly.
I am using a lenovo y50 touch with windows ten 64bit.
I have already tried updating drivers, deleting temp files, disabling firewall (antivirus was removed from reset), and already tried the ip config release and renew.
I've scoured the web and pulled together enough info to enable me to create an incoming VPN connection on our dedicated P2P file "server" which runs Windows 8.1 Pro. On my Windows 10 Pro laptop, I've also created an outgoing VPN connection to the server. When I click the "Connect" button in "Network and Internet" Settings, the connection is established immediately with no error messages and a resulting status of "Connected". On the server side, the incoming connection also shows connected. Sounds like success, but no matter what I try, I can't find a way to actually access any of the drives/files on the server.
I expected the server to show up in the list of "Network" computers, thereby enabling me to map a drive to the shared folder(s), but no such luck. I made sure when I was creating the incoming connection on the server that I enabled "File and Printer Sharing", as well. Also, FYI, the server's WAN connection is on a static IP, and I've done the necessary port forwarding to the server's internal IP address. The one especially odd thing is that when I view the connection details on my laptop, it shows a subnet address of 255.255.255.255, and I don't have a clue whether or not that's correct. There's oddly little information that I can find that describes all of the possible entries that are required in the many and various dialogues that are presented while trying to setup the VPN.
so i have recently upgraded to window 10 and im having some issues with my internet. so the problem is that it keeps on saying "no internet access " and theres also a yellow triangle on my wifi icon.I have watch so many tutorials on how to fix this but still havent found the right solution.ive tried things such as reset my router,flush my dns,reset my ip,update/uninstall my driver,changing power options .
View 6 RepliesI have this weird problem that causes chrome and firefox to download some pages (like : [URL] .... please notice this happens only on some websites and not all) instead of simply viewing them. the file that get downloaded isn't even a html file, but an unknown format.
In Internet explorer the pages will show a weird - until i flush the dns cache and then internet explore will start displaying it until the next time (chrome and firefox still wont show the pages), using developers tools I managed to find that the error I get is 407.
My computer is windows 10 (enterprise) and is part of a domain that uses a proxy server. only my computer is suffering from this problem (I checked my user on a colleague computer, and had my colleague test my computer), which is part of the reason I am convinced that this is a windows problem and not a browser problem. It is a clean installed computer so I don't believe it is a corruption, virus or the sort.
I installed Windows 10 yesterday on 2 lap tops. Everything was fine, i could access the web. I installed it on a third one this morning. It was seeing the network but said it could not access it. I changed the password in the rooter thinking that it would ask me for the new password has Windows 7 does. But it did not.
Now I also have the same problem on the 3 lap tops. I cannot find the place to put in my password like I did on Windows 7. If I try to access 'manually' it does not recognize either. I know it is not my rooter because I was able to access the new password with an old lap top still on Windows 7 and also with my cell. So password and rooter work fine.
I recently upgraded my laptop to Windows 10. Since then, I can not connect to Internet at all. The cable says no Internet when connected and wifi says limited access when connected. I am posting this through my phone because my laptop keeps saying limited access.
View 12 RepliesToday, when i opened my PC i found out that i have "No internet connection". The last time i used it was last night, and it worked like a charm. The problem is from the software itself I guess because other devices seem to be working fine connected to the internet. This also happened to me while using windows 8.1 but I got it fixed everytime with a simple "netsh" command. Now things aren't this simple, i tried multiple fixes and none of them worked. I tried to update the driver from the device manager but i can't find the microsoft and the producer driver, instead i find some outdated drives from like 2013.
View 9 RepliesI have a desktop and a laptop setup at home, I have recently upgraded both to Windows 10. Both were previously running Windows 7 Home Premium and could identify each other on the network and I could access files on either PC from one or the other at any time.With the upgrade to Windows 10 I am still able to see the other machine on the local network, but I am unable to access their folders and move files between machines. The error message I get is as follows.When I run the network diagnosis no errors are detected and it asks me if I want to explore other options.
The full error message is:I do have shared libraries available across both machines that are part of my homegroup, so I can access the video files in the hard drive of my desktop from my Laptop but only to play them - not to move them around.I suspect this is either a user validation issue, or a firewall issue and I'm not sure how to go about checking whether this is the case or not.
On my desktop (AKA S4, currently running Win8.1 x64 pro) I have shared out four of the hard drives with full permissions. I have 5 PCs in my network and all can access the four drives. My sister is visiting and currently accessing my network via cat5 wire. On her PC (running Win 10 x64 pro) if I view the network in Windows Explorer I can see my desktop (S4). When I double-click on S4 I'm prompted to enter network credentials. "Enter your credentials to connect to: S4" I entered my logon S4 ID and password but it tells me that the user name or password is incorrect. What the heck should I be entering? All computers are part of the same work group (WORKGROUP) and all computers are wired connected. All computers can access the internet.

All three machines can see all available network devices, including each other.All three machines can successfully access and interact with third party network devices. This gets me error 80070035 with diagnostics telling me nothing
All three machines are on a Homegroup and while each can see, no one can access anything

Yesterday I updated my Windows 7 desktop PC to win10, and my internet worked perfectly, both wired and wireless. But today, it just stopped and until now it is still like that, famous yellow triangle. Wifi works. Tried almost everything, changing from DHCP to static, disabling firewall, updating/reinstalling network drivers. I am not using any VPN as far as I know. My network adapter is nvidia nforce.
After switching to static address, I noticed that my adapter changed from unidentified to network, but still in the status window of my adapter i see that ipv4 and ipv6 have no internet access. As I said, other devices work perfectly via wifi.
I have two computers running Windows 10 Pro Technical Preview Build 9926. One computer is a desktop and it is working perfectly. The other is a new HP 15-F039WM laptop and it came with Windows 8.1 With Bing installed and it also works perfectly in Windows 8.1 mode. I resized the hard drive on the HP laptop to free up 150Gb of space and then installed Windows 10 TP Build 9926 from DVD. It still works perfectly when I use dual boot to go into Windows 8.1. When I use dual boot to go into Windows 10, the network icon in the system tray says "Unidentified network - No Internet access". I did swap cables, etc, but I knew that wouldn't work because the laptop does have Internet access when booting to Windows 8.1.
I read through some threads here after searching for DHCP and connectivity issues and even tried some of the suggestions such as using regedit to look at the network profile. There isn't a network profile. It is displaying a 169... IP Address, so I know that it isn't getting an IP. I tried to manually add the correct settings that work for Windows 8.1 (192.168.0.15 with 192.168.0.1 as the Gateway), but that fails.
This just happened recently, and still not fixed.
My router modem is changed. The internet works properly in any other devices which are not win10.
From the wifi connection: it's connected to ssid but no internet access. I cant even ping the gateway. And from the troubleshooting it mentioned that some protocols are missing.
I have set up home network behind a router. every basic operations as folders sharing work but when I try from Windows 10 machine to join homegroup created from another computer running Windows 8.1 the operation is unsuccessful. The homegroup was firstly created on the Win8 machine. Same homegroup password is used same of course. Home group listener/provider services are started on both computers. Why is it not working?
