View 2 RepliesMy name is Peter, and I'm IT Administrator at Junior High School. One month ago I installed Windows 10 Education on all computers. Everything was fine until today. Today users changed his passwords. Now, when user try to login to the PC, system hangs at "Applying User Settings". The only solution (not the best) is to remove user profile from workstation, but after next password change, problem returns. Active Directory looks fine, Previously installed Windows 8.1 and Windows 7 has worked without this issue. Maybe some one knows the solution or perhaps steps to diagnose it.
P.S. Windows version is 10586.29, Active Directory is based on Windows Server 2012.
After running windows in safe mode to test something my firewall stopped working. I could not find anything related to this issue on Win10. When i try to initialize windows Firewall service i get the message error 1068 and when i try to run it through Control Painel i get another message error with the code 0x8007042c.
There is event log saved on my pc everytime i start windows (ID 7001). I also cannot run SFC /scannow anymore.. this is getting annoying.
I am running a Virtual Machine in VM Ware and on Windows 7 Ultimate it worked fine no problems at all. But suddenly after the upgrade to Windows 10 Pro I no longer receive internet on my VM.
View 1 RepliesAfter recent Windows 10 Update, my wireless connection no longer works. I've done some troubleshooting and I have ruled out my ISP, cable modem, and router, leaving the issue to be something within the computer (Dell laptop - Inspiron 7537).The wired connection works fineWhen I run Windows Network Diagnosis, it tells me that the Windows Wireless Service is not running (see attached pdf report).
When I try to manually start the WLANSVC service, i get an error message that says "Windows could not start the WLAN AutoConfig service on Local Computer Error 193:0xc1" (see attached)When I try to manually start the WLANSVC service from the command prompt (as Admin) I get a slightly different message that says "The WLAN AutoConfig service is starting. The WLAN AutoConfig service could not be started. A system error has occurred. System error 193 has occurred. *** is not a valid Win32 application." (see attached)I've downloaded the latest Intell PROset Wireless drivers from Dell (V18.20.0.9) for the Wireless-N 7260 wireless network adapter and have uninstalled and reinstalled the drivers.
I recently upgraded to Win10, and everything worked great. A couple of days ago, my keyboard started to lag. For example when I play games (FPS) and I try to move with W, my movement last much longer than it should. If I hold W in for 2 sec, then it will recieve the signal for twice as long. And I can't interupt my movement.
I tested exactly this outside of a game, and the same problem occured. When I send a signal, it recieves it for about twice as long.I checked my keyboard setting in control panel, and everything looked normal according to my other pc. However, these lags only start happening about 15min after startup.
Recently i installed Mac OS X skinpack from [URL] this website. The work fine until restart my system. When i restart my system, the windows 10 become stretched. So i try to uninstall the skinpack. After uninstall, i restart my system again. But my windows 10 not started. Windows 10 loading show. But logon screen not open. The screen always blinking. No function working. I had important files on the disk.
View 1 RepliesI keep getting the message when I try to open Windows live mail "Windows Live Mail could not be started. It may not be installed correctly. Make sure that your disk is not full or you are not out of memory (0x80041161). I know it is installed correctly as it has worked perfectly until now. Where do I go to make sure that my disk is not full, or out of memory.
View 1 RepliesWhen I'm using my pc, windows 10 keeps displaying the same annoying notifications for tips. Uninstalling the get started app does not remove the notifications and I can't find a setting in the app.
View 1 RepliesI don't know if this is only me or not, but my Voice Recorder app cannot be started. Here I included all the screenshots of the weird behavior of this Voice Recorder app in Store page.
At first, when I search Voice Recorder and open the store page, it will show downloading, then after that an update button appear, after I click that update button it will show small download icon at the top left side of my account profile picture. After a short while it'll disappear and still Voice Recorder app cannot be opened. This weird behavior keep repeating every time I open the Voice Recorder store page.

View 2 Repliesthe computer was installed with Windows 7 and was upgraded to Windows 10.About 3 months ago, the computer ran fine, and even the startup time was <10sec.2 weeks ago, I got a virus and quickly deleted it with Malwarebytes and AdwCleaner. don't know why, but after that event, the computer quickly slowed down and right now, the startup time is 45 sec.
View 6 RepliesI have to boot 2 times to get my computer started. This started when I upgraded to Windows 10.
View 1 RepliesSo recently my PC just started randomly crashing with different errors. Some are bug checks, some are driver_irql_not_less_or_equal. I ran virus scans, malwarebytes, ccleaner, reseated my memory, CPU [and checked thermal paste], dusted it out, ran memtest etc. Everything keeps coming back kosher.
Some of the problem details:
The computer has rebooted from a bugcheck. The bugcheck was: 0x00000050 (0xffffd00021f68000, 0x0000000000000002, 0xfffff9605d6a5e8f, 0x0000000000000000). A dump was saved in: C:WINDOWSMEMORY.DMP. Report Id: 93f481ce-6a52-4105-994f-edda7c14e64d.
Today when I started up my computer I couldn't load my operating system (Win 10 Pro 64bit). It said my pc was missing a file, or that the file had been damaged. I've bought a new Sata cable for my ssd since I first thought that it was that that was wrong, but nothing happened. I don't have my dvd disk for my windows.

Starting Monday (I think) I started getting artifacts all over my screen then my computer would crash and restart (sometimes the artifacts would persist during the boot screens, which would force multiple restarts before I could even log into Windows). I was not in any situation with heavy loads on either the CPU or GPU. This happened multiple times. Eventually, it started giving me a BSOD and one of these three codes: "DCP WATCHDOG VIOLATION", "TRD VIDEO FAILURE", or "DRIVER IRQL NOT LESS OR EQUAL". Of all the dumps I got, the consensus from WhoCrashed is that it's the Nvidia kernel driver nvlddmkm.sys (in some cases it was dxgmms2.sys). My drivers were up to date at that point.
Two days ago I was told by the Nvidia chat "support" to use Revouninstaller and roll back my drivers to those from December, which I did. It took a lot longer, and it didn't actually crash, but I got artifacts again, the screen froze then flickered and came back, and then an error message came up saying that my Nvidia kernel driver had stopped working and recovered. At that point, I turned off for the night and went to bed. Yesterday I was able to use my computer for several hours without any problems, but just as I was about to turn in, it artifacted and crashed with a BSOD and one of those three codes above (can't remember which).
I ran a full scan using Windows Defender. It got about halfway done, then stopped. I couldn't start it again (gave error 0x8007139f). After a restart it would scan, but I'm convinced it didn't finish again (I was working on my laptop while it was scanning so I wasn't paying complete attention, but what took 30 minutes to get halfway before, "finished" in less than 10 minutes). I'm not convinced it's an infection yet, but I guess it's another things to check for if it turns out WinDef isn't cutting it.

"Outlook Setup for iCloud could not be started because of an unexpected error."
How to solve this without knowing what error is causing this?
I have tried reinstalling Office and iCloud (run as administrator) but no luck. Is Windows 10 compatible for iCloud? Apple says no and Microsoft says yes.......
It did worked before, but it slowed down my computer so much that i decided to reinstall the Office package. Everything worked ok after the reinstall and Office programs are running ok. Only I can't get iCloud to sync with Outlook anymore.
It all started with the start menu not opening up. I tried a couple things, but I had to create another user for myself. The problem now its giving my the oops something went wrong error when prompted for my local password when trying to switch from a local to the Microsoft account.
View 6 RepliesFor some unknown reason I cannot any more navigate to Update panel from "Einstellungen" - it is blocked.
I have to cancel the "Einstellungen" window by the task manager !
So in this moment I cant go forward nor backward any more: cant activate Win 10 neither start the restore of my old
Win 7 system - unbelievable !!!!!!
Question: is there a professional command that I can enter in the command line to start/complete the restore of Win 7 ?
I am frustrated by this dilemma of Win 10 Update. The update od the Defender library also doesnt work and stops after several minutes complaining about the network. Browsing works of course. Windows Firewall is deactivated. No Antimalware program installed.
Files, mainly photos won't open and come up with error box: " The application cannot be started because it is currently updating"....
View 1 RepliesYesterday my laptop running windows 10 started freezing randomly. Everything seems to be normal when suddenly computer doesn't react any more for few minutes, then works perfectly well again. It's quite hard to find the cause. Only thing I have noticed that when it freezes, disk usage is very high. Could this be my cramped desktop (basically no space left) ? I haven't installed or downloaded any torrents lately. This week my laptop was mainly used for heavy browsing and projecting continuosly for hours, some powerpoint and audiocity usage. Also my windows partition is low on space (20GB left).
View 9 RepliesWhile gaming (world of warships) my game started lagging and eventually freezed out. nvlddmkm.sys ... I took a look and I saw that report mentioned(photo). I also tried to do a benchmark with Furmark, but after 4-5 seconds screen freeze and I had to hard reboot! How can I fix it?
View 9 RepliesI have a weird issue. Youtube videos started buffering on my computer for no reason, I have 120/30 so it's not my internet, I've tried all the other computers on my network, all fine. It's defiantly not this computer because it's less than 5 months old and has been working for all that time.

I've tried everything, disabling hardware acceleration, enabling it, running different browsers, running chrome without any addons, etc. Nothing works.
I want to check if I run safe mode. I know that it says "safe mode" in the corner but is there any other way to check?
View 1 RepliesI'm having a bit of trouble with my Lenovo x220 laptop.
At first I had installed the RTM 10240 version and then updated it to Build 10586. Once I updated I noticed the computer started to behave erratic random freezes at boot up, forcing me to hold the power key down to turn off and reset, would do this a couple of times until it would boot.
Finally I couldn't figure out the problem so on DEC 9, I said "f-it" and formatted the machine with clean build of 10586 using the Microsoft official tool and media creation. Everything seemed to be working fine, drivers and files downloaded and installed automatically. Installed all my programs and customized it the way I like it. Everything seemed to be running fine, last time I used the machine was DEC 13th.
No new programs or software has been installed since that time. At the time I last used it I was just surfing the web and using firefox, and watching youtube. No games, no installs, no new programs, nothing. I double checked program manager, and last time any programs were installed was on DEC 9, but like I said it was working fine since. Today when I booted, Windows installed updates and now on every reset I am getting this particular error on boot,
An attempt to add the root certificate to all known browsers on your computer failed.
I did already run an /sfc scannow as admin command prompt and everything came back A-OK ....
This is the 2nd time W10 has gone flaky on me on this machine. I'm trying to give this OS a "chance" and work my way through it, but common this is the 2nd error already since using W10 on this laptop that it's going screwy. I am keeping all programs to a minimum on here in case I have any compatibility issues.
My computer started to crash every X random minutes,It started yesterday. I didn't install or uninstall anything.Using "Who crashed", it claims that something is wrong with my Intel Gigabit Ethernet card. I've update it to the latest available from Intel, but the problem persists.
