Oct 16, 2015Is it normal that if I type net start tcpip6 on the cmd the result system error 2, not found?
Also, I do not have the file tcpip6.sys on /system32/drivers. Why is that?

Whenever booting my pc I get a "operating system wasn't found error". I've checked to make sure my hard drive was set to the boot drive and I've tried reinstalling but that doesn't work either.
View 1 RepliesI have a lenovo system that can't find the system disk ... Ctrl alt delete only gets me a blank screen and any key gets me the same error message....
View 3 RepliesI have a k430 Lenovo desktop. When I got home last night, I was greeted to a blank white screen that was unresponsive. When I restarted my computer (holding down power button) it gave me this error. I've tried swapping my SATA cable with an older computers cable, and a couple other fixes with the BIOS recommended from the Lenovo site, and I even tried running my windows 8 install disc to no avail. I can feel the hard drive working by touch. I tried booting in 'legacy' and it said no hard disk was detected.
View 2 RepliesI am unable to access one of three computers on my local network via File Explorer. I can access the other two and I can access a network local external drive.
The error is : error code 0x80070035 the network path was not found
This expands into: one or more network protocols are missing on this computer windows sockets registry entries required for network connectivity are missing...
The post from SimBy in Network Protocols says to disable netbios over TCP/IP. I don't know how to do that.
Windows 10 on HP Envy
I can't run the command "dism /online /cleanup-image /restorehealth". Every time returns the error 0x800f081f.

View 2 RepliesTrying to change boot sequence to read DVD drive first but can't get into bios. Every time I turn on PC I get the message "an operating system wasn't found try disconnecting other drives". I received this message with new SSD (replacement) but I know receive same message with old SSD?
View 1 RepliesMy Acer Aspire One was upgraded to Windows 10. Eventually, I ran into some issues with the start menu not popping up, so I decided to run a clean reset of Windows 10. The reset failed, so I turned off the notebook. When I turned it back on, the message "An operating system wasn't found. Try disconnecting any drives that don't contain an operating system. Press Ctrl+Alt+Del to restart," popped up. My first option was to try to use either f2 or f12 to see if there was some way to get around the issue, but then I remembered that, recently, my notebook had stopped responding to those commands. I do have a USB Logitech K120 keyboard hooked up to it (since the original keyboard messed up,) but it had been working fine for those commands and such up until now.
Today, I downloaded Win 10 using the Media Creation Tool in an attempt to create a bootable USB drive. I plugged that in, yet it doesn't seem to recognize it at all. The same message pops up as before. My acer doesn't have a CD-ROM or anything of the sort, so the USB appears to be my only hope. Is there anything that I can do? I'm hoping there's a way I can force the notebook to recognize the USB, or at least boot into the f2 or f12 commands to see if I can use them in any way.
My computer was on sleep mode and my sister plugged it off. I restarted my computer to see that an error message said " you pc needs ti be repaired " and something abour rhe boot configuration data being missing. So i researched and found a tutorial on how to fix the bcd. i typed "bootrec rebuildbcd" on cmd from the windows recovery media advanced options and came up with
"Scanning all disks for Windows installations. Please wait, since this may take a while... Successfully scanned Windows installations. Total identified Windows installations: 1 [1] D:Windows Add installation to boot list? Yes<Y>/No<N>/All<A>:"
I typed in "yes" however it said "the requested system device cannot be found."
so a while back when the Windows 10 Upgrade had popped up on my computer, I upgraded with no problem at all. I wanted to do a factory restore in order to clean up my laptop completely, however while updating, the power went out and the computer shut off. Logging back on, I couldn't access Windows at all. I couldn't even get to the login screen. The message that had popped up had said that no operating system was found and to press Ctrl+Alt+Del to restart. I have a Lenovo ThinkPad T520.
View 9 RepliesI upgraded from windows 7 to 10 about 2 weeks ago, absolutely no issues, i was happy with everything.
My computer had froze and i forced a shut down via power button. Upon starting again i was greeted with "no operating system found"
I fixed that problem now im greeted with a black screen with something like "no bootable device found please detach any devices"
What i have tried is....
Made a win10 usb with the media creation tool from another computer.
Startup repair does not work, error is "the hard drive is locked"
I have tried with the command prompt the following commands
Bootrec /fixboot
Bootrec /fixmbr
Bootrev /rebuildbcd
*rebuildbcd tells me i have 2 installed windows os. One is regular windows and windows.old*
(If i say Yes to rebuild both of those, my media creation usb stops working if i restart. I get the error 0xc00000f and have to recreate the media creation tool on the usb. Otherwise i keep getting the same error)
I have also tried different sata ports on my motherboard, resetting bios settings, changing boot order, changed sata cable. What else can i do?
I did the conversion from Windows 7 to Windows 10 about 1.5 months ago. This is a Dell Vostro w/Intel Corei5 desktop
All was fine until I attempted to wake the computer from sleep mode recently and got the following error.
An operating system was not found. Try disconnecting any drives that don't contain an operating system
Press Ctrl+Atl+Del to restart
I disconnected the two external drives I had connected and tried again with the same result.
On startup, I've hit F12 to run through the Dell ePSA Pre-boot system assessment and it passes all the tests System, Cables, OS boot Path, Hard drive, cd rom drive, video card, cpu fan, system fan processor and memory.
I have the original 7, 64 bit installation disks, but nothing for Windows 10. What's the best way to get this thing going again?
Have had new win10 desktop pc a couple months now and all of a sudden my photos aren't viewable and live tile isn't working on start menu..
and a window pops up with "element not found " as attached.
Seems to be just my user (live account) which seems more strange.
Cant think of anything that I have done recently to make this happen either.??

I even did a computer reset that did not work the error came back again.

I just updated my media center to version 1511 of windows 10. Via wifi, downloaded and installed ok i thought. But have found i cannot see any wireless networks. Normally about 7 up in my area.
I've tried uninstalled the device and installing it again.
I've tried checking for newer drivers, but isn't any.
I've tried resetting these in command prompt (admin) net sch advfirewall, int ip, int ipv6, winsock and rebooted afterwards.
I've tried plugging the usb wifi adapter into a different usb port.
I've tried restarting the Router. Mobile phone picks up wifi in the same room.
I have two computers, both run Windows 10, One runs Pro and the other Home (odd considering both were free upgraded from 7 Pro, but that is a currently unanswered for 2 month question for Microsoft to resolve...). Onto business, my main PC (Triton hereon out) spontaneously throws the 0x80070035 (network path not found) error. The other PC (Prometheus) is always on, its always connected. To add insult to injury, there is nearly always an open VNC connection (Prometheus runs headless, no monitor, hence VNC), so I know the computer is connected at all times and it is at least visible in one way as the VNC connection never drops. This problem has been going on since I got the free 10 upgrade. Both previously used Windows 7 Pro and had no connection problems with each other.
So here is what I have tried so far.
- Enable NetBIOS over TCP/IP
- Restart both PCs
- Exit homegroups and make a new one
- Uninstall VirtualBox incase it was trying to use its (VirtualBox) imaginary network on both machines (both are now running it again though after it didn't work)
- Disabling / exiting VNC Viewer/Server on both servers before connecting
The only odd thing I have noticed is my router/modem in one has six IPv6 addresses for Prometheus, whilst Triton only has two. Both have one IPv4 assigned, see this image for info. If it matters, I connect to Prometheus via VNC by name 'Prometheus' instead of its local IP. Incase Windows does it a different way? remember this is spontaneous, sometimes (i'd say about 30% of the time) it connects and I can view and copy/edit Prometheous' files no questions asked, the other times it will throw this error but after a few tries it will let me in.
I have recently upgrade to Win 10 from windows 7 and it was running fine until it started booting with the analyzing and repairing windows screen. I had tried to get out of it by windows repair and by system restore but there were no points to restore too. I ended up trying the windows reset which failed when I selected to leave my files so then I tried the reset including removing my files. It failed part way through saying it could not complete the action and now when I boot up every time I get "An operating system wasn't found" etc. I do not have a windows CD or know my windows registration number.
View 4 RepliesJust had computer upgraded to windows 10. When I try to acces the old shortcuts, I get path not found error message
View 2 RepliesI installed Win 10 a few weeks ago and today is the first time that I've turned it on since then. I checked for Windows updates and it found some and appeared to start to download and install them. Then the window disappeared and I checked for updates again. "RuntimeBroker.exe Element not found". What does this mean in Microsoftese?
View 2 RepliesThere is an update available for windows update. But when i try windows shows no updates found with an error code 8024402F ... Why am I not getting an update for Windows 10?
View 1 RepliesInstalled Windows 10 (free) off Microsoft over Windows 7 home premium. System rebooted, started opening windows 10 and I received an error about system ra into a problem and needs to reboot.
Error was System_Thread_Exception_Not_Handled. After about 20 reboots and same problem error, gave up. Can't get into my system!
I have a desktop computer, it was working fine almost a year and now from a few days I am having a serious issue and that is when using my computer (generally or during gaming) it displays an error i.e PAGE_FAULT_FOUND_IN_NON_PAGED_AREA. The screen turns pink and the edges are green (that's probably because of the resolution as I use 3840x2160 so the error kinds of destorts) but that's not the real issue, the main problem is the error itself.
My Computer specifications :
Intel i7 4790
Asus Maximus VII Formula ROG
Kingston 8GBx2 DD3 Ram (Simple ones, not the gaming ones)
1TBx2 Seagate HDD
Asus GeForce Titan X
Corsair CX850M.
Running Windows 10 on a Dell Latitutde I was trying to setup a Netgear Wifi Extender because the Fios Router does not reach all the way to the other side of the house. I did the setup (so I thought) the way the manual told me and my computer was trying to connect to the extender, but it just stayed in "Connecting..." For a long long time. Eventually I gave up and thought I'd hit the reset button on the extender and try again.
Now my wifi adapter finds NO networks. All my other devices see all the networks.
The only other time this has ever happened I had accidentally hit the network adapter switch on the side of the PC, so I'm 100% sure that's not the problem and that it is 'on' in the settings. I've tried restarting the pc several times as well as toggling the adapter on/off, airplane mode on/off, and the switch on the PC on/off.. And it still sees no networks..
So I just updated to ten, and have all the updates, but whenever I try to run a .exe file, it gives me the error "|:
File System Error (-1073741819)
I just downloaded windows 10 while ago but when I ever wanna open a program i got this problem [URL] ....
