View 7 RepliesMy laptop is a Sony Vaio E series running windows 10, for whatever reason it has stopped loading the Microsoft Solitaire Collection, it gets to the page and the loading will stay there forever. I have experienced many minor problems since upgrading to windows 10, it gives one the feeling windows 10 is still in beta form.
View -1 RepliesSony VAIO AIO model SVL241290X, Core i7, 2Tb HDD 64 bit, started doing a startup/shutdown constantly (not exactly a loop) never getting to POST or Welcome screen for Windows 10. It started doing it when I hooked up an old HDD to move files from it to the VAIO which had been in a machine that did the same thing. Thought it was a bad motherboard on the old PC, but now I think it's a virus. Whenever I power the VAIO down by pressing/holding the power button, and starting it up again, it just resumes with HDD activity but never shows anything on the monitor.
Even the VAIO Assist button doesn't work. Also can't get to BIOS or Safe Mode. Sounds like a virus - maybe a rootkit MBR virus? Right now I can't do anything with this machine. Normal troubleshooting does not work. I don't have any restore discs or bootable recovery discs, although I am creating a copy of Windows 10 on USB drive with Microsoft's Media Creation Tool. But, without being able to designate the USB port to look at first in BIOS, that won't work either. Most important things are backed up, but I have a few things I would not like to lose.
I got a laptop (Sony Vaio VPCEG17FB). I used to use Windows 7, which was already installed on it when I bought it. It was extremely easy to enable Stereo Mix on Windows 7.
But now I've just installed Windows 10. The same procedure which worked to enable Stereo Mix on Windows 7 doesn't work on Windows 10.
How can I enable Stereo Mix on Windows 10?
Upgraded my Sony Vaio SVE15115ENW to Windows 10 Home. Now, I am unable find the Bluetooth option in settings menu. Have downloaded and installed the Atheros drivers as well as Intel drivers for Bluetooth from Sony website. But nothing worked. There's nothing in the device manager. Earlier, The get windows 10 app did not show any compatibility issues.
View 3 RepliesI'm on a Sony Vaio Pro 13 running Windows 10 64bit. Ever since upgrading to Windows 10 I've been experiencing strange horizontal distortion on the right half of the screen while viewing videos through any internet browser. The issue seems to be confined to YouTube ads (actual videos themselves are fine), news websites, and other websites whose video encoding is presumably similar. I've attached a fairly shoddy image I took with my phone to demonstrate the issue.
I have upgraded and tried reinstalling any driver that I thought was feasibly connected to video playback to no avail.

I have Sony vaio sve1513. I would like to reinstall Windows 10.
I've created a usb with media creation tool but when I boot from usb have a bootloop.
I updated to Windows 10 a week or so ago, and since then I've noticed that I no longer seem to have a right-hand click menu function: on Chrome/Explorer, it opens the link I'm clicking on in another tab or window, but on everything else either nothing at all happens or the scrolling arrows appear. why this is, and how to get it back?
(to be clear: I'm talking about the menu that has copy/paste/select all etc on standard programs, or thesaurus/font etc on Microsoft Word.)
I recently reset my windows 10 then I got problem my laptop can't produce sound so I can't hear sound from it the speaker logo in the task bar have x mark and when clicked it opens troubleshooter then windows can't find the trouble. I also uninstall and reinstall my audio driver, Realtek High Definition Audio and NVIDIA High Definition Audio, but nothing change this is frustrated me I need sound to play games, watching films, and watching youtube, so anyway I need sound to make my life harmony. One thing the screenshot (Windows+Prt Sc) also won't save the picture only dimming few second then I couldn't find the pictures.
View 3 RepliesQuite simply after updating to Windows 10 I've have had no sound on my computer for months now and don't know what to do. I've updated drivers like 12 times and I still don't get any sound and it's annoying having to put headphones in all the time. I have an Alienware and the crappy part is that I'd only had it a couple weeks before it happened. It happend right after the update so I'm guessing it has to do with something on the OS.
View 2 RepliesI'm having a myriad of issues after upgrading to Windows 10. I'll list them below along with what i've already done to resolve:
- Computer won't shut down.
Someone told me to disable something with the Gigabyte process on the Motherboard, didn't work. I click on shut down and the computer restarts instead.
- No sound except EXTREMELY low sound on headphones.
I've already tried installing the Windows 10 Realtek HD drivers but nothing seems to work. Eventually I somehow got the headphones to play sounds but is is incredibly low even fully maxed out. All devices show that they are "working" correctly. Also, when I test it, I can see the green bar moving as if sound is playing, but no sound in any speakers / headphones I hook to the computer comes out.
- Less important issue but the "search" bar in the bottom doesnt ever return any results, ever. It just sits there indefinitely.
Whenever i'm watching anything in "films and tv" or what was previously windows media player the sound cuts out every minute or so for about 3-4 seconds. I tried watching my shows on a newly downloaded version of VLC and the sound still cuts out. I've tried adjust the Hz in speaker properties but that doesn't work.
View 3 RepliesI encountered this issue recently, and it's caused me a fair bit of frustration. I keep searching for solutions but it seems nobody has any. What I can do to restore Windows 7 (preferably with my files intact) or at the very least finish the upgrade to Windows 10?
View 2 Repliesi can't use my mousepad on my asus laptop after upgrade win8 to win10.
Eventhough i can use the touchscreen but i also need the mousepad to work.
After upgrading to windows 10 my laptop is started heating up and slowed down. I noticed in task manager there is an application named 'IAStoreDataSvc (32 bit)', its using about 30% CPU.
And when I end this app, my laptop behaves normal (no heatup, no slow down). What is this application is for?
I have a dell insperation and after having upgraded to windows 10, I came across a few issues. The update when well and windows 10 is working on my laptop, however, I have an issue where I am presented with a black screen when i start my computer. I do see a dell screen and a windows boot screen before it goes black so i know the issue is not a hardware issue, however after the windows boot screen passes (the one with the blueish window icon) the screen goes to black, but it is still on (meaning the monitor is still turned on just not displaying anything). The reason i know that windows installed fine is that external monitors do work, just not my laptop monitor. I have already reinstalled windows 10 and have made sure all my drivers are up to date. Windows 10 is just not recognizing my laptops screen as a usable monitor.
View 9 RepliesI recently upgraded my laptop from Windows 7 to Windows 10 64 bit and shortly after it was completed, everything was working fine until the screen suddenly went black. The computer was still running but I could not see anything on the screen to restart the computer so I closed the laptop so that it would shut off to sleep. Coincidentally a power outage happend lasting for about an hr after. When I am finally able to boot up the computer, it show the ASUS splash screen and the windows logo with the loading spin cycle but then shows a black screen after. My guess is that the OS may have been corrupted or something so that I plan on backing up my hard drive before going to a tech shop. I'm not sure what the issue is but it seems like I may have to reinstall the operating system. i have an ASUS N61J. I can't boot into bios or safe mode and can't get passed the black screen to log into my user account.
View 1 RepliesMy laptop makes a beeping noise that sounds like a 80's laser gun effect.
It's working normally, just it has beeping.

I recently started trying out Windows 10. It's buggy and frustrating, but it's still in preview mode, so... That's expected.
Nothing was working when I installed build 10074 off disc, so I installed build 9926 off a disc (I got the iso from MSDNAA, I'm a programming student) then upgraded via settings to 10074.
During the upgrade, my laptop started resetting, normal. But halfway through, the resets stopped working.
The screen switches off, the cd drive switches off and the hdd activity light switches off, but the power stays on, and the fan keeps running. It also doesn't switch off on shutdown either.
I finally have a working version of Windows 10, minus Cortana and Spartan (I'm in Aus), but now my laptop won't shut down.
Could it be drivers? Is it OS interference? Is there a way to fix it without uninstalling and re installing Win 10? I really cbf going through all that again....
Lost audio on HP DV6700 laptop since upgrading to Windows 10. Ihave removed sound device from device manager and reinstalled, have replaced driver with previously saved W7 driver....still nothing, not even the windows system sounds, critical battery etc.... All seems eps ok except this.....saw a post that says the sound is integrated with the graphic card, but the graphic card now has a windows 10 driver from nvidea.....maybe should downgrade GPU with W7 driver...
Just tried the idea of setting frequency to 16bit 9600 but I received no sound output error box....then went to enhancements settings where it has bass etc etc settings, was disabled so enabled it without choosing any option..then went back to frequency and changed it to default, which is 24 bit 19200....then was told not supported by this device but then miraculously it worked....now have all sound restored windows music everything...not sure if still have windows 7 driver...it is MS 2008... really scared to update the driver as it is all now working....not sure how I fixed it though, was it one particular action ? or a combination...?
after upgrading to the windows 10 OS, I could not get my HDMI port to work. It does not get recognized at all and is very frustrating. I run the OS on my laptop which is a HP Pavilion. I really need it to be working. I love windows 10 but this is a big problem.
View 1 RepliesI had recently clean installed Windows 10 on my laptop. Before doing that, all my drivers were working well except for WiFi - a problem since build 10158. Currently I am on build 10240.
When I plug usb sticks into the USB 3.0 ports on my laptop, they don't connect. It's not like the 'not recognised' problem. It simply shows no sign of connection like blinking its LED or any response from the OS. On the other hand, when I connect my Lumia phone in the same ports, it warns me of Slow Charging.
And when I plug it into the 2.0 port, it gets connected. Why is this happening? All of my device drivers are up to date. I believe its not a hardware issue because my laptop has two such ports and both of them have the same problem.
I have windows 8.1 installed on my laptop and when I try to upgrade to windows 10, it overheats, shuts down and when I restart it, goes back to windows 8.1.
My fans are clean and everything works just fine with the laptop, I don't understand why is this happening. I also have a friend with a similar laptop model who is having the same overheating problem when upgrading to windows 10 (in his case, from windows 7).
Black screen and stuck cursor after upgrading to windows 10 on my acer laptop, I've tried all other forums and nothing has worked ...
View 1 RepliesI recently updated my Asus N55SF laptop to Windows 10. Everything is working, but the internal speakers in the laptop are not working. However, headphones and HDMI audio is working. I've tried the newest drivers from Microsoft and from the Realtek website. What I can do here?
View 2 RepliesI just upgraded to windows 10 and now my dvd player, and videos from my hard drive, play with sound and no picture.
