I have a Nikon D3200. I am trying to use my camera as a webcam and to be controlled remotely from my PC. The drivers have installed properly, but the camera is recognized as a portable device and not an imaging device.

View 13 RepliesI just upgraded, and I use Adobe Photoshop Elements to download and organize my digital photos. After the update, I uploaded some photos from my wife's phone and my phone.
However, when I try to download from my Nikon DSLR (D60), I get the error that there is no supported media on the disk. I recognizes my camera - it seems. However, it shows nothing on the file explorer in PSE13 nor in the W10 file explorer. However, the same program on Win7 on a different computer recognizes them and downloads them without issue.
I installed W10 yesterday and now the USB ports on the right side of my laptop no longer recognize anything. I don't even get the message that the laptop knows something is plugged in. There is a USB port on the left side of the machine that is working fine, but the ones on the right are ignoring me completely.

View 3 RepliesI am using a Lenovo Y510P, originally installed with Windows 8.1. I upgraded to Windows 10 in July and it worked fine-ish up until now. I have recently (for the past few days) encountered quite frequent BSODs, most of the time with the code CRITICAL_PROCESS_DIED. I tried clean-resetting Windows 10 but the error kept recurring. It happened really randomly, sometimes when I was browsing the web in Chrome, sometimes when I was typing something in Skype, or in Microsoft Word, or sometimes when I just tried to refresh the desktop. So there's really no predicting when it is going to happen
P/s: After rebooting from BSOD, for some reason the system does not recognise any bootable device (and so it tries and fails to boot from my network?). But when I hard-reset the computer by holding the power button the system can boot into Windows again. I used to have grub2 bootloader for my Ubuntu, but after the first of such BSODs it died, somehow, so the system just booted straight into Windows from then on.
My laptop does not want to recognise the sound card/audio driver that are built into it. The fun part is this just happened. Audio played yesterday, and the time before that, and even before the upgrade. The only thing that has changed (or at least is the biggest change i can think of) is downloading and installing Cygwin (sans audio packages). In trying to play a song on the new microsoft Groove, i get this;
Further inspection in the playback devices, the only two options are the Speakers/Headphones and communications Headphones, the former of which i can only assume is my actual computer speakers (otherwise its completely gone!).Looking at the device manager, everything seems okay. All the drivers are up to date so im not sure what could be wrong there?
Its Windows 10 pro (upgraded from Win7 Pro) and the computer is a Dell Precision M4600. (I am pretty sure the audio driver is in the device manager image).
I updated to the latest drivers for Intel AVStream Camera on my tablet / laptop. After the update, only the front camera works now.

I have the admin profile all set up the way I want the other profiles to look, after sysprep has been ran and the oobe crap has worked.how do I get the standard default profile to look the way I have my admin profile? I have a custom background with the company logo, a few changes to the start menu and taskbars, and some desktop shortcuts.
View 2 RepliesI've got the error code 52 in device manager for all 3 imaging devices (an internal and an external web cameras and an HP scanner). I was using Windows 8.1 on my Toshiba Satellite laptop and upgraded to Windows 10 Home edition a few months ago. All the time the imaging devices worked normally and I seemingly some Windows update resulted in to code 52 (Windows cannot verify the digital signature for the drivers required for this device).
Unfortunately returning to previous restore points did not work. I tried to remove the upper limit filter which I found in the registry key HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINESYSTEMControlSet001ControlClass{6bdd1fc6-810f-11d0-bec7-08002be2092f}. As the result the yellow triangles and errors with code 52 disappeared and scanner could work, but both cameras still fail to work. So I restored the registry to the previous state. All the drivers are up to date.

View 6 Repliesi have my ASUS X555LD for almost a year now, so as far as date is concerned my laptop shouldn't be too old to suffer such illness. So it came with Win8.1 x64 of course and just recently, as soon as Windows 10 was released, i upgraded quickly.
but right after i upgraded to Windows 10, my laptop became ill and had this errors:
1. i got BSoD Most of the Time, one would say CRITICAL_PROCESS_DIED or UNEXPECTED_STORE_EXCEPTION. there are times my laptop would freeze in the BSoD, not even the 0% would move to 100%. so i had no other choice but to force shutdown it, and sometimes after turning my laptop on again i end up at my BIOS with no HDD nor BOOT ENTRY listed. as i experimented, i had to press slightly hard on the right side of my Laptop where my HDD is Located just for my Laptop to re-read my HDD once again, as soon as i got back to Windows 10, i ran an HDD Check and nothing was wrong, no bad sectors or anything. this is confusing me as to how it is happening. so i somehow got used to BSoD since my Laptop frequently experience it. sometimes just a simple movement that would shake my laptop would turn into BSoD again, i suspect something like my HDD or loose or the likes. i dont really know.
2. after the BSoD Case, a week or three i guess. i started to loose Audio Ability. it was just this morning, the Volume Icon has a "RED X" on its icon and states "No Audio Output Device is installed.". and after checking my Device Manager, to my surprise the Built-in Audio Device (Realtek) is not there. i don't know how or why it happened but i can't get it back.
even checking the sound tab on the control panel doesn't bring out Audio Devices.
i was wondering if ASUS or the PC Store where i bought my Laptop would fix it for me as per warranty is involved ?
in windows 10 when I trying to safely eject the USB it says that the USB device is already in use (which is not )and if I'm removing it forcely the pc freeze and I'm getting the bsod with the error: inaccessible boot device and then my pc turning off I tried to format but it still happing I had no choice to go back to win 8.1 and there everything good (also it happing with some USB devices but some are working to but still .

I couldn't open them and need to leave so hit "remove device" figuring that I'd go back later when I had more time to get them. When I went back and reinserted the card it didn't show up. I've tried to "add a device" but it still doesn't work. When I hit the device and printers icon it doesn't show up. What do I do?
View 4 RepliesI just upgraded to Windows 10; not much problems for me, except one that I really wish I new that before upgrading.
Let me just say this; the Windows 10 app on my pc (running Win7 Ultimate) did not say anything about this issue, that's why I upgraded.
Under my windows 7 I had 2 Realtek RTL8168D PCI-E Gigabit Nic; which I had setup for teaming with the Realtek Teaming Utility; after the upgrade I found out that utility was not compatible with Windows 10, which sucks.
My real problem is under the Device Manager I only see one (1) Nic listed.... is this normal for Windows 10?
Also, how to setup a NIC Team without using the Realtek utility?
I connected an audio cable to my laptop but when windows asked what the cable was i accidentally checked the box that said microphone. Now i can't change it anymore and my audio device is in the recording tab instead of the playback tab. How do i change this?

I know that the file extension is correct, and the file is not corrupted.
I didn't ever have this problem when using Windows 7.
I downloaded pictures form my digital camera, or at least I was trying to do. Somehow I got form installing my camera driver, recognizing my camera to importing the pictures form my windows 7 migration to Windows 10 and all of my camera pictures. They went to "albums" I lost them for a little while but found them again through notifications in the action center. I closed the display and now I can't find them.
I want to accomplish two things. Find out where my pictures went, then get my pictures moved out of albums, and stored back on the computer where they belong!
Before installing Windows 10, when I plugged in my camera to my PC, I got a dialog box from which I downloaded my pics. Now, nothing appears on the task bar, nor do I get a dialog box. Am at loss what to do next.

View 1 RepliesI want to clean install Windows 10 on another hard drive. When the custom dialogue comes up and it asks me which hard drive I want it to go on to, it does not give me the hard drive I want to put it on as an option. It is a 160 GB SSD. Windows 10 was registering it as a removable drive. I have a dual boot system and Windows 7 does not register it as a removable drive. It' s been working well as in internal drive for a couple of years until this Windows 10 thing.
