View 1 Repliesi have upgraded windows 8.1 to windows 10 and when i checked games they were lagging, but then i updated all the drivers, but mortal kombat x still lags, i don't know what is the problem, i might have to set some options in nvidia control panel? or anything?
View 1 RepliesI recently upgraded to Windows 10 then I did a clean install. Now I downloaded and updated all my drivers but I've noticed that my NVIDIA control panel is no where to be found. I have tried uninstalling geforce experience and the nvidia driver itself then reinstall but the control panel still isn't anywhere.
View 1 RepliesJust got windows 10 and my second monitor isn't being detected when it clearly is plugged in. I'm assuming this is a problem with my drivers for my graphics card, but when I tried to open the GeForce experience it said that it (the GeForce experience) failed to install/ I tried downloading the drivers without the GeForce experience but that also said it failed to install. also the Nvidia control panel won't open for some reason.
View 1 RepliesAll of my games look like they are in 3D. I can't fix it and I ran a full scan of my system and it found nothing. BEFORE YOU ASK. I have unplugged it, restarted it, and set my control panel for nvidia back to default. The only thing left is to wipe the OS completely and I don't really want to do that.
View 1 RepliesI upgraded from Windows 7 64-bit Home Premium. I cannot connect to the internet anymore, Nvidia Control Panel refuses to open, Steam will not open, my monitor's max refresh rate is capped at 64 Herz, and that is just the larger issues I'm facing.
If I cannot fix all of the above problems then I'll have to revert back to Windows 7, which I really do not want to do. Here's my PC build:
OS: Windows 10 64-bit
MOBO: ASRock Z97 Extreme3
CPU: i5-4690k
GPU: EVGA GeForce GTX 980 Superclocked ACX 2.0
RAM: Corsair Vengeance Blue 8GB 1600 MHz
PSU: Thermaltake TR2 600W
HDD: Hitachi 1TB 7200 RPM
Monitor: ASUS VG278HE 144 Hz 1ms
I'm a bit of a frame rate nut so having the system setup I have and not being able to enjoy it completely drives me mad. I can't play games knowing my frame rate is capped at 64. That, and if I don't have internet then I won't be able to update any of my games or buy new ones and register them. Should I revert back to Windows 7 and wait for some of these issues to be fixed by Microsoft?
Since the latest 'Update' a little while ago, I cannot open the Start Menu or get to the Control Panel or even Shut the PC down and I've also lost all the Sound.
Just before it all went wrong (Again!) I saw a flag about an 'Immersive Control Panel' which sounds like it could be the Problem?
Now that I've got Win10,, I was looking around and clicking on stuff to see what was under the hood, I found that you can get to the Old Control Panel like in Win 7, problem is I don't remember how I got there. I don't particularly care for the new Settings menu in 10 but I guess if there is't enough complaints about it, I guess were stuck with it. I do like 10, there are some issues but just like with new stuff, you get bugs.

View 4 RepliesI just got a new system , I always had in power options in control panel to "DIM THE DISPLAY" and now in win 10 there is no option to dim the display .. I thought it had to do with the Nvida driver .. or something like that
View 6 RepliesI would like to disable the control panel on my kids computer.I have regular Windows 10 Home build 10240 on this computer. On Windows 8 I had a registry hack that worked globally so I had log in as admin do the hack then log out

View 7 RepliesAny better way to get to the old style control panel? I don't like Win10 menu for the control panel.
View 3 RepliesInstalled Win10 and have the following problems.
1) I have no sound; Sound icon on task bars says "No audio Output Device Installed." When I run troubleshooter, it says Troubleshooting couldn't detect the problem.
2) Control Panel: When I click on control panel it opens, however, it shuts down in 15 seconds.
I'm not a techno person. Dummy me didn't back up before I installed and now I can kick myself.
this small problem started when my control panel wouldn't open, when I try it's like my entire desktop gets refreshed (black flicker) and half the app icons in the notification are disappear with no sign of the control panel opening.
I have looked around and found a couple "solutions" but none work tried this in cmd (admin) "sfc /scannow" which ends with no issues found.then tried this which also found nothing.

So I finally just tried a reset of my computer removing all personal files, apps and settings but that didn't work still have the same problem but now I have more problems!....my audio has stopped working, the icon has the speaker with the little red circle and white cross and when I hover over it it says "The Audio Service is not running." when I click on it it opens up a troubleshoot window which doesn't work it goes through the process and end with a "Not Fixed" and when I click the "Explore additional options" it does that stupid screen refresh thing like when trying to open the control panel, and after I reinstalled my VPN my internet wont work.
Today the Control Panel will not appear and Programs and Features is Missing. Also, I can not enter BIOS.
I cleaned and removed spyware to no avail.
After using a pc optimization program called Wise Care 365 I noticed that the windows 10 control panel is completely gone. Even when I search "control panel" it doesn't show up.

View 8 RepliesI am unable to find my Control Panel today. I see the words control panel when I right click on the menu after clicking on the start button. But nothing happens. It does not open. I have been researching it all day but to no avail. I am using an Acer laptop and I updated to Windows 10 last July. I have had this control panel until today. How to restore it?
View 4 RepliesWhen I had Windows 7, I put a shortcut to Control Panel in the startup folder (I used to need it to start at startup). Now I am on Windows 10 and it still starts at startup. I deleted from the folder (looked up where it was) and checked in task manager if it was set to run at startup but it wasn't there.
View 2 RepliesI find the control panel is a bit awkward to find and usually just luck that I find it on advanced setting for something to other. Is there any way to have the full control panel (not that settings nonsense) on the start menu, pin or otherwise?
I can pin it to the task bar if it's open, but I like a clean task bar, not cluttered with stuff that should be in the start menu.
After upgrading to Win 10 I noticed three old folders that are unusable, which are circled in the below picture. How can I get ride of them?
View 8 RepliesAfter latest update I find that Control Panel is no longer working --it starts (displays) and then locks up and then disappears after a few seconds. Is my system broken or is control panel now disabled )get to it via Right mouse from Windows start button).
