Jul 31, 2015I Only got 2GB of download files for Windows 10?It was said that it will have around 3GB. Why i got only 2GB?
I downloaded it. But after finishing 100% it showed error.

Sep 4, 2015I've been running WIndows 10 for a little while now, over a month. Now, for some reason I cannot download a file. If I try from Firefox, it fails, if from IE it fails and if from Edge it fails. I'm stumped??? I can surf the web but just can't download any file at all. I've tried downloading attachments from my gmail as well as software from other web sites.

Feb 23, 2016In Windows 10, when I try to open a file within a page or open an attachment it always goes to the Download folder rather than opening. This to say the least is frustrating. This never happened when using Windows 8.1. Is there any way to prevent this happening?

Nov 3, 2015I had the Windows 10 install files in $WINDOWS.~BT and $Windows.~WS totalling >5GB. A few days ago I decided to also download the Windows 10 ISO.
I've now found that the 5GB+ installation files have been deleted.
I'd like to have both options regarding the upgrade and so would like to re-download the installation files. How do I get them re-downloaded?
If I click the Get Windows 10 icon the only option is Upgrade Now, not what I want - unless that will initiate a download and then give me the option of not starting the actual upgrade.

Oct 11, 2015In Windows in the past you could go to the windows update download site to find the updates. It doesn't seem to work for Windows 10 cumulative updates. Is there a way to find these updates? I have even tried googling the kb numbers and it only gives details but not the file to download. Jan 18, 2016Okay I just upgraded to Windows 10 this morning and I had all of my downloaded files from other websites all in the desktop under a folder called software after the upgrade it opened up Windows 10 and ran me through the tutorial, and had me reboot after I change some settings. when it rebooted it took about 20 minutes said something about some new features and "we want to show you new features" and others some other junk.
Finally when I did pull the explorer back up the only thing that was there was the recycle bin, my computer, and the downloads folder which was empty I went through every inch of my hard drive I even went over it with undelete Pro and still no traces of my files they were archive files and setup files for software. when I finally did find a trace of one of my old folders, the only thing that would it would tell me was that it was unavailable and that it must've been moved or deleted I took a picture of the error message and can't find answers anywhere..

Dec 6, 2015My SSD only has 1GB of space left, but Microsoft keeps downloading its filth onto this drive, and soon it reaches to limit (I now only have 25 mb left) and notifies me that there's not enough space left for download & installation. But after I allocate the download to the D drive, the crap it downloaded earlier are still in the C drive, taking up all the space. How can I remove these things that I know Windows is not gonna use since it's now redownloading them to the D drive?

Aug 25, 2015Even when using disk cleanup in admin account it will say deleted but after restarting and going back into disk cleanup they are back.Even using Windows app they come back after deletion.On another note system restore doesn't seem to work , i did a system restore and even though i got the message that system restore completed successfully after i rebooted my screen was frozen and i had to do a system refresh to get it up and running again.I have been waiting for it to delete my temp files for 8 minutes already.

Jul 29, 2015I ended up using an extra 2 GB or so of hard drive space after the windows 10 install. I ran desk cleanup and removed the old windows files which was a lot. But wasn't Windows 10 supposed to free up space?
Prior to install the computer showed 241GB of 297GB used. Now it says 256GB of 297 used. And this is after windows 10 disk cleanup removed the old OS files which was something like 20GB.
Under storage use it shows
System and Reserved - 49.7 GB inside of which 42.1 GB is system files. Isn't this a lot? The rest of the 7GB under system and reserved is 3GB Virtual Memory, 3GB System Restore and 1.5GB Hibernation file
Apps and Games - 6.83 GB (I have no games and besides the stock apps, I might have just 5 apps installed chrome,vlc player, ytd, ccleaner and iTunes
Temp files - 3.98 GB and I always kept this clean with ccleaner prior to win 10 install but been scared to run it after the update because I'm waiting on more ccleaner updates to save from issues (heard some horror stories using ccleaner on win 10)
One Drive - 51 GB used - I saved movies now this is saved in the cloud not on my hard drive right?
Background. This computer I just got a week ago. I was restored back to factory 8.0 and I than updated to 8.1 and than updated to Windows 10.

Mar 1, 2016All my files are gone, but when I go into Windows Explorer the file system says that this PC has 856 GB out of 1.81 TB full, but I have nothing there. When I click on it all my games etc are not there, and I don't know how to get them back. When I reset Windows I clicked "keep my files" so where are my files? My internet is really slow and would take way to long to re-download and i wont have enough space because all my files are there i cant find them anywhere.

Aug 2, 2015Yesterday, I downloaded the Win 10 upgrade to a flash drive. My plan was to use it first on an older Win 7 computer that isn't used much. Then, if successful, I would do it on my husband's new Win 8.1. It seemed to take forever and I didn't even think it had downloaded to the drive. But it did, and after lots of time, the Win 7 has Win 10.
Problem is, in the midst of downloading, it said that the administrator had to be signed on to continue, so sign out and switch users. That was hard to figure out, but I did it and now I don't know if the download is complete. Can I unplug the flash drive? I think I'm also an administrator and should be as I'm the only one who uses it. Is there a way to check if it complete?
Other question: Can I use the same flash drive to upgrade the 8.1? I think it's 64 and the other is 32. Should I just erase the flash and download the upgrade again?

Jul 30, 2015"What this error means is, your Windows 10 installation folder is unfinished and/or corrupted. Now, how do you fix that?
1. Go into "C:WindowsSoftwareDistributionDownload" and delete everything in that folder.
2. Now, run the command prompt as an administrator. Type in "wuauclt.exe /updatenow".
3. Go to your Control Panel > Windows Update and your Windows 10 should start re-downloading from scratch, hopefully without flaws this time.
I followed the steps exactly, twice and it still doesnt work.On another site they told me to go to URL... and download a program. Whenever i run the program it simply says "Something Happened" and closes.

Oct 2, 2015Using windows 10 on a Surface 3. I've tried to download several programs from the internet using chrome and the explorer that comes with windows 10.
It will show were it downloads and says it is complete, but it will not open and run the program. It just disappears . I have went to downloads and tried to run it as administrator. Then it will pop up with a error code, Windows can not find the download make sure you typed the name correctly.
I'm not sure when this started, but when I first switched over I had to download iTunes 2 times which went through. Now nothing.
