I have deleted and recreated the *.ost file several times and it still asks for the password several times and then comes up with the following message. "Cannot expand the folder. The set of folders cannot be opened. The file C:UsersEdAppDataLocalMicrosoftOutlooksundancer245_hotmail1.ost is not an Outlook data file (.ost)." I have no problem accessing this account in FireFox and none of my other Hotmail and Outlook accounts are causing this problem in Outlook 2010. I am running Windows 10 on this computer and on my Wife's Tablet and I can access the Problematic Hotmail account from the Tablet and also from my new Lumia 950XL windows Phone 10.
Everything was fine for about a month until I had a disk crash. After several days I got that fixed and did a clean install of Windows 10.
Now I am trying to reinstall Outlook 2010 from the original DVD. Valid product key (setup validates it).
Setup runs, then encounters an error (doesn't tell me what), and backs off all files.
As far as I can tell, Windows 10 is saying the SETUP file is incompatible, not Outlook 2010 which Microsoft states is still compatible with Windows 10.
Can't lauch Outlook 2010 from Internet explorer! on Windows 10 Home. Gives me this error message.
I also can't install my printer. Keep getting error message saying printer driver is in use. It asks me to stop the driver so I do and then I get error message saying I need to start it! I haven't a clue how to fix it. The printer does work wirelessly but I can't use any features like Duplex printing Etc.
I just bought a new Windows 10 machine (HP Envy) and I'm running Outlook 2010. When I select multiple e-mails (Shift, select top e-mail, select bottom e-mail) it correctly highlights all e-mails. Then when I right click and select "Mark as Read" it removes the highlight from multiple e-mails and instead only highlights the last e-mail. I would often select multiple e-mails, mark as read, and then delete.
It's not a huge deal, but I could do this in Outlook 2010 in Windows 8.1 without issue and I can do it in Outlook 2003.
After successful upgrading to Windows 10 from Windows 7, I can send emails but cannot receive mail in outlook 2010.
Getting message: Task '……….@sbi.ae - Receiving' reported error (0x800CCC0F) : 'The connection to the server was interrupted. If this problem continues, contact your server administrator or Internet service provider (ISP).'
Also successfully run the SFC /scannow tool without any error.
Since the update reboot Outlook is running in safe mode and though the reading panel is correctly set up it is closed every time Outlook is restarted. Add ones are all missing. How to sort it short of removing all the updates. I have run a repair install and SFC /SCANNOW with no problems or change.
I have Outlook 2010 on two PCs and use the Hotmail Connector to synchronise my contacts with my Microsoft Account (people.live.com).
I can create/delete contacts on any PC and at the web page at people.live.com and these will synchronise across all accounts. However, if I change details of an existing contact on the PC e.g. change the phone number) then this is not synchronised. If I change the details on the web page at people.live.com then the PCs do get updated. How to troubleshoot this problem to ensure that changes to contact details in Outlook 2010 are synchronised correctly across all accounts?
I am having trouble configuring Outlook 2010 on a new Windows 10 Pro clean install so that mail from multiple Gmail and Comcast accounts all go into 1 PST file. I would like to have 1 inbox for all 5 email accounts.
Even when I use "Manually configure Server settings" and specify an existing PST on D:Outlook, Outlook creates a new PST file on C:Users(My Username)AppDataLocalMicrosoftOutlook.
How do I get Edge to stop with the constant barrage of pop-up tips showing the "make a note" feature and "reading" tips? If I wanted to use these I would use them! What do I need to do? Do I need to stop using Edge and use Chrome instead???
Since the last update I have had to deal with popups in Edge (even though its on in the settings). Any good popup blocker that's not going to make W10 more complicated than it already is from time to time?
I use Outlook to receive contracts and sign them in Adobe. My mail now opens in microsoft edge and it will not give me the option to sign and send back. I have tried to change my browser it will not correct Outlook mail.
Not sure if this is a MS issue. Default zoom setting for Edge is 125% but Outlook email is suddenly really tiny in size despite Edge showing 125%. The right hand 30% of the screen is now just empty white space. If I change it to 100% and back to 125% then it corrects until I close and reopen Edge. No other tabs are affected.
I have a new laptop (came with Windows 10 Pro installed). I have installed Office 2010 and everything is working fine except for Access. When I attempt to filer by pressing just a letter to get to the names starting with "C" (for example), Access locks up and never responds. I have to shut down the program. This worked fine in Windows 7 and Windows 8.
I recently upgraded to W10 and now when I try to change a form in Access 2010 DB It errors and has to close. The error is : Faulting module path: C:PROGRA~2COMMON~1MICROS~1VBAVBA7VBE7.DLL. If I undo the change then all is fine. There was a problem I found on Google with same error but due to SP1 for office. I
A long time ago I got a windows key through my workplace which I used on my home computer.. I know it's a valid key as I ran the genuine software test.
I also have Service pack one and it says that I have windows 7 professional -- so I know it's not enterprise.
But still I don't have any update popups.. and when I tried to run the manual installer I just got a "something happened 0x80070002 - 0x20016" and the program shuts down.what's wrong?
I upgraded from 8.1 to 10. Eudora 7 worked fine in 8. However, the problem I'm having is when I click on a hyperlink within a post, a pop-up window appears telling me, "you'll need a new app to open this program." Opening the link within the popup, takes me to the Store where a message says, "Your search for "about" had no results.
