View 1 RepliesWin 7 allowed this, but I can't figure out how in Win 10. I want Win 10 to "trust" my Galaxy S5 and automatically receive and save files sent by the phone. I send multiple files, usually photos, and having to go through all the manual steps for each picture is not working for me. I have Googled this and searched forums to no avail.
View 9 RepliesHow to send files to your phone from laptop using Bluetooth in Windows 10. There is no such option to send files to a bluetooth device in the drop down menu in Windows 10 as it was there in 8.1 .
View 2 RepliesBeing more techie, year ago I recommended my bro Lumia 520, over Android, tho it was way behind Android, expecting it to improve over time.
I sent an epub file to my bro's Lumia 520 from my android and lost it. Cant open that file on his Lumia. Cant browse bluetooth folder in Microsoft Files explorer and Aerize File Explorer.
No book reader Sparrow reader, bookvise reader shows up that file in their list.
Whats going on? 2-3 years later, does WP still lacks capability to open up epub file sent over bluetooth?
Gotta try out this precise scenario: "Send epub file from Android to WP and open it in WP" and tell me, I lost 2 hrs today.
If not possible in WP 8.1, hope Windows 10 fixes this, but need confirmation about WP 8.1
Windows explorer will only let me see the image files on my phone. I can not see any of my audio files or anything else for that matter. It thinks it is only a camera.
View 1 RepliesRecently I have installed windows 10 build 10586 from windows insider , i was wondering if i can get android apps on my lumia 535 is it possible ? another question will lumia 535 support 4g sim in it ?
View 1 RepliesI would like to transfer photos from my android phone to my windows 10. But when I do the original create date on the photo disappears. I need the date to remain on the photos for a legal situation.
View 2 RepliesMy Lumia 935 windows phone always routinely sent pictures to my Lenovo IdeaCentre desktop when I have Windows 8 and 8.5. I upgraded to Windows 10. Both devices have Bluetooth on. The computer says my phone is paired with it. I try to upload a picture and I get the message "the device you're trying to send to doesn't support sharing over Bluetooth." We've restarted both devices.
View 1 RepliesSo I have a Lenovo Z480 and just installed Windows 10 on it. I used to have Win7 earlier and i'm still using the same drivers. I tried Connecting my Samsung Galaxy S4 to it via Bluetooth and It woudnt even detect it. It detects other laptops around it though.
My phone also doesn't seem to detect the laptop but detects others.
Where have the Bluetooth phone operations and setting screen gone when I right click on my iPhone under devices and printers that option is not there which means I cannot show screen when phone rings or want to play audio files from my phone the option was there in windows 8.1
View 2 RepliesI have a Lenovo H30 desktop which was working perfectly before the windows 10 upgrade, now i can't connect to anything via bluetooth. The Bluetooth icon has disappeared too and I can no longer see it in settings.
View 2 RepliesYesterday i installed the new windows 10 on my laptop.today i wanted to put some music from the win 10 pc onto my phone(android btw.)however, when i plug my phone in the pc i cant seem to find the directory to my phone.
it is visible in the device manager and i can also safe-eject it from the taskbar (bottom right corner), but i cant find a way to access the files on the phone.is there a special way to do this, or is it a driver problem? in the device manager it says the driver is up to date.
I have 2 problems:
1 - Windows 10 does not detect my Samsung Galaxy 4. It works with other devices like mp3 players, and my phone charges perfectly. But windows simply does not find it.
2- When opening gifs or videos (with default player, others work fine) I get this error: File system error (-2147416359)
I just did the free Windows 10 update on my computer and now files that had been saved to my computer for quite some time seem to have disappered

View 1 RepliesHow did I miss this one? I tested Office for Android when there were only Word, Excel and PowerPoint. Then Outlook became available. To be fair, I got an invite, but hadn't paid attention, since I didn't expect more than the base apps in the new Preview.
Now it seems that the whole enchilada is available for Android phones. I'm going to jump off the ledge and guess it's also available for Android tablets, since I haven't read Ed Bott's article.
I just downloaded the Microsoft authentication app that have the approve or deny button for two-step verification on android. However on windows mobile I only find the app that sends you the code. This is sad because the android app makes it so much faster than looking up code and typing it. I might be missing something in the store or is this the case of creating better apps for android and ios?
View 8 RepliesNew Win10 Ent install. I have two LG phones (one is G4). When plugged in via USB, they show up in Device Manager, but not as a storage device to be browsed. Setting on phone is for media sharing. The show up on Windows 8.1.

View 3 RepliesWin 10 and WLM 2011 (Windows Live Mail.) Previous to upgrading to Windows 10, I sent and received emails using WLM. No problems, everything worked fine. After Win 10 install over win 7, (keep all settings, apps etc) I cannot send/receive emails, nor can I use Chrome Browser "This page is unavailable" But that is another issue for later.
I have checked and double checked the settings, Servers, usernames, passwords etc. Still cannot connect
Message received: "Unable to send or receive messages for the XXXXXXXXXX account.
The host 'pop.XXXXX.com.au' could not be found.
Please verify that you have entered the server name correctly.
Server: 'pop.XXXXX.com.au'
Windows Live Mail Error ID: 0x800CCC0D (Googled this, but the answer was to Uninstall Zone Alarm etc, and I do not have it)
Protocol: POP3
Port: 110
Secure(SSL): No
Socket Error: 11003
Makes no difference if the email is Gmail, Yahoo, or POP/Imap. I don't want to resort to using MAIL/Calendar with Win 10. The internet connection is working fine, but not for WLM 2011 or Mozilla Thunderbird 38.2.0 (Just found out) I can use the internet connection with EDGE, but that is all. Yes, I did goto win10 help pages, but still no fix available.
Looking for settings for POP. Can send but cannot receive.

I can access my emails for the same home account on my work computer because it does not have Windows 10.
I wish I'd never accepted the upgrade. It has cost me hours and hours of time and much missed communication.
I'm using Windows 10 Mobile on Lumia 925 and am unable to send or receive MMS (text messages containing images).
Mobile internet is working, as well as normal text messages but whenever I try to send a message containing an image, it simply says "failed - tap to try again". Of course, I can try again, it still doesn't work.
APN settings are ok.
Note that on Windows Phone 8.1 I had no such problems on the same phone. This is Build 10586 but it already didn't work with previous builds.
I am running a Virtual Machine in VM Ware and on Windows 7 Ultimate it worked fine no problems at all. But suddenly after the upgrade to Windows 10 Pro I no longer receive internet on my VM.
