It crashes approximately twice a week. It crashes if I am playing game or just watching videos or doing nothing. Today it crashed 2 minutes after start.
How does it crash: Screen freezes, every sound stops so i cant hear anything and I see the last picture on my monitor. I cant move with my mouse simply I cant do anything so I have to hard reset. There are my PC specs but I don't think there's problems with them. This crashing wasn't happening when I had w7.
This is a brand new computer, everything newly installed. My computer has recently been crashing. It happened 3 times in 3 days. The crash happens randomly and when it does it bluescreens with an error i can't remember but it says something like 'your computer crashed, please wait for us to gather data ;(' and then it counts up to 100%.
My computer has now crashed twice, where it locks up and and one monitor will look like an old TV when it loses is connection, I did just reinstall my ram to see if it would fix another small issue i was having, and when I was putting in one of the sticks I accidentally was putting it in the wrong way, and pushed, but not too hard, and when I realized i looked at the ram and there was no visible damage, tho i did not examine the ram slot, i did not notice anything, so I don't think its that, but i guess maybe it could be...
So recently my PC just started randomly crashing with different errors. Some are bug checks, some are driver_irql_not_less_or_equal. I ran virus scans, malwarebytes, ccleaner, reseated my memory, CPU [and checked thermal paste], dusted it out, ran memtest etc. Everything keeps coming back kosher.
Some of the problem details:
The computer has rebooted from a bugcheck. The bugcheck was: 0x00000050 (0xffffd00021f68000, 0x0000000000000002, 0xfffff9605d6a5e8f, 0x0000000000000000). A dump was saved in: C:WINDOWSMEMORY.DMP. Report Id: 93f481ce-6a52-4105-994f-edda7c14e64d.
My computer seems to crash randomly when I have 2 or 3 programs running at once, need instructions to provide necessary information and data to see what may be causing the issue?
I am using Windows 10 in Microsoft Surface Pro 4 tablet. I installed Fresco Logic Thin2000 USB display driver in Windows 10. After the reboot windows 10 started crashing. I did boot in safe mode but safe mode is preventing me from uninstalling it.
What do I do? this was installed so that I could connect device to projector. In safe mode I am unable to remove it and windows 10 is not booting in normal mode. It showing error system_service_exception(Ddkmd.sys) at boot.
Bought a new HP laptop with 8Mb RAM and 2Tb HDD. Installed Office 2016 and using Panda Gold firewall and AV. Windows frequently freezes when using various programmes and all I can do is remove the battery and disconnect mains power. Now I run without the battery installed as I need to shut it down and reboot frequently. What is causing this problem and how to fix it? Never had this problem with Win 7.
We're basically done after about, 30+ tries, but all of a sudden, I CRASH :C. The problems are happening after Windows 10, I think something is screwing around with my GPU or my GPU driver. My games in general actually have been pretty unstable, like Witcher 3 etc. I don't think it's a driver issue because i clean re-installed it yesterday.
So when i play music on Spotify while playing a game, my volume randomly goes up and down, It only stops if i mute all of the sounds of the game, i've looked and looked in all the settings, changed the communications tab to "do nothing" and it still wants to change my volume.
After shutting down my computer every night, at some point during the night the computer is randomly turning itself on. I have not changed anything that would indicate that this should occur. It didn't happen when I had Windows 8.1 and now that I have Windows 10 it does happen. How to fix it?
So as the title says, every now and then Windows 10 randomly decides to wake itself up from sleep. It doesn't happen at any consistent time, some days it stays asleep until I actually turn the PC back on. Using powercfg /lastwake just gives me a wake history count and doesn't provide any information.
I can't figure out why this is happening. I've tried googling it and have found similar complaints but no real solution. It's not hardware that is waking it up and I have already disabled the "allow wake" setting for my network adapters in device manager.
Laptop, Dell Studio 1555, Previously running Win7 Ultimate and had no issues regarding random shutdowns.
Upgraded to Win10 Pro, then wiped drive and clean installed Win10 Pro. No issues during installation. No issues with device drivers. No other software installed.
Windows 10 randomly shuts down completely. no BSOD. turned off automatic restart, still no BSOD. Random shutdowns always occurs whenever i click on something (does not matter what). Random shutdown does not occur when system is idle.
Event viewer shows only Unexpected Shutdown.
Also have 4 consistent errors Event Error 7031 Service Control manager User data Access_Session1 service terminated unexpectedly User Data Storage_Session1 service terminated unexpectedly Contact Data_Session1 service terminated unexpectedly Sync Host_Session1 service terminated unexpectedly
I have had W10 for three days and it has been sending me mad. The text has been resizing and windows closing randomly. Particularly bad when typing. Finally found the cause. The new feature which allows two finger use on the mouse pad is a nightmare while typing. My wrist or fingers touch the pad briefly and then when another thing touches it then all sorts of things happen. So as I typed the text kept changes size. I found myself changing the text size back every few minutes.
It took me some time to find the problem and disable the two finger ability. It might be nice to have if I am editing pictures but it is very difficult to get too. The control panel is difficult to find. It is not in the menu.
I seem to have spent most of three days disabling everything in W10. I seem to have paid for something which is useless.
So, firstly I would like to say that I'm sure most of you have at least heard of this issue if you have never directly dealt with it yourself. This did not just start happening after I upgraded to Windows 10; in fact, it followed me from 7 to 8 to 10 now. Although, each time a new Windows is installed, the issue stops happening for a few days. But I'm getting ahead of myself.
The Problem : I can be doing anything. Listening to music, playing a game. Then suddenly, everything will stop and I'll look. Sure enough, I've been disconnected from my internet. Again, this has happened throughout Windows 7-10. All I have to do is manually reconnect, and I'm back. But usually only for a few more minutes. What I have noticed, however, is that it happens more frequently depending on what I'm doing/playing; I just don't know what makes this occur.
What I have tried : I have been trying to solve this problem for years, which obviously means I have scoured the internet, searching for every possible method that has been suggested. Here's what I've attempted:
Reformatting Windows (like I said, it goes away for a few days after a reformat/an upgrade, but it never stays away).Uninstalling my Wireless card and having Windows automatically reinstall it (this seemed to work for 30 minutes.)Playing with my router settings.Changing my Power Save plans.Playing with the Firewall settings.Uninstalling programs that seemed to be part of the problem.Searching for viruses.
Nothing was effective. And if it was at all effective, it was only temporary.
I have recently upgraded to windows 10 pro from windows 7 and prior to this i have been getting BSOD and it turned out to be a faulty ram which i replaced. Now my pc runs with two different brand rams bu have same spec, ddr2 2GB 800.
anyway I have my pc connected to the 60 inch tv in our lounge and I have been getting this problem for a week now. My tv would suddenly lose signal and after 5 seconds the computer turns off. It's not a BSOD or instant shut down. This happens once or twice a day. When i turn the pc back on the lights on the pc turn on but then about 5 to 10 seconds after it shuts down again (still no signal on tv). After i turn it on a second time it turns on fine with signal coming back on instantly. This happens everytime (i have to turn the power on twice to have it actually come on and let the first time turn itself off).
I have checked the temp and its perfectly normal. I dont play games on it, just watch youtube or movies etc.
Could it be the new RAM? I haven't tried taking it out but my pc was fine up until last week (its been atleast 3 weeks since i've upgraded).
edit: only setting i remember changing is the display setting. "change the size of text, app, and other items: 150%(recommended)" this to 100%. the settings to this changes randomly after the restart or on normal boot. sometimes when i boot its on 150% even after changing it to 100% the day before. and after several hours pc would turn off and when i turn on again its on 100%.
It all started when I installed Windows 10 on release day. (I was using windows 7 before). I downloaded mumble and then all my games and started playing with friends. After a while I noticed that my friends weren't responding to me I alt tabbed and realized my push to talk wasn't working (this goes for every voice program, the same thing happens the push to talk key stops working). In my Recording options the mic isn't disabled. When I go into recording devices after it stops working when I speak I do not see any green bars, when I go to steams voice test and nada, no green bars. To fix it I either go into Mumble settings and just hit 'apply' or I open up the mumble audio wizard and close it right away and my mic will work again along with push to talk. For some reason this makes my mic work again.
I've tried a fresh install of windows 10, I've tried different mics, different sound cards and the same thing keeps happening. Before I reformatted it got so bad it was happening every 2 minutes. Now it happens every couple of hours and progressively happening more often. To me it seems something is disabling my mic and doesn't re-enable it.
The Seach function is often disabled randomly, especially when I shut down the system and turn it on again later. It also happens when the system wakes up from Hibernation.
So I'm a programmer. Sometimes I take breaks, go to my couch and watch TV for about an hour. However, I still have documents open on my computer. My monitors turn off after 10 minutes of inactivity.
Randomly, I will see my monitors turn on and a blue screen on my computer saying something along the lines of "Getting your computer ready". Then the computer restarts. This happens at various times, I've seen it happen at 1:04am, 4:38pm and 10:15pm. The timing seems completely random and its a major issue because it closes all my documents.
My pc used to be on windows 8.1 and I never had this problem. Ever since I installed windows 10 I have noticed that it has been randomly starting up. I shut it down and then wake up the next day finding that it had randomly turned on during the night. It shows the log in page as usual with no signs of being locked, standby or anything else. it shows as if i shut it down and turned it back on again manually but i haven't. This only started to happen after I updated windows 8.1 to 10 so i dont think it has anything to do with the motherboard.
My Dell desktop running Windows 10 keeps rebooting.

I have had persistent problems recently with my computer freezing/crashing. This is an HP Pavilion, model 500-123a, running Windows 10 (recently upgraded from Windows 8). What's been happening is that it's been stalling out, both in Word (without broadband on) and on the Web (eg Yahoo, Yahoo Mail). In Word the cursor freezes and will not move, the screen goes opaque white, the blue circle whirls, can't do anything with it, can't shut down, and I have to unplug it and reboot.
This can happen 3 or 4 times a day. In Yahoo, similarly, the screen freezes, the cursor won't move at all, and have to unplug. I used software, PC Health Advisor, to try to diagnose the problem, and it hasn't signalled up anything specifically. From checks I've done, it doesn't look like fragmentation, nor RAM (8GB), nor registry issues, nor a monitor problem.
My laptop crashes every time I scan and then try to clean the issues identified by Adwcleaner. Below is my logfile. This is linked to a problem I have with yahoo constantly coming up as my search engine and homepage even though its actually google.
