I deleted some contact on my phone in the people app.
It synced perfectly with the website because when I go to people.live.com, the contacts there are the same as my phone.
However, when I open the People app on my SP4, I am still seeing the old contacts. I have gone into settings and manually hit sync but nothing happens.
People app is as up to date as can be.
I set up my Yahoo mail account in the new Windows 10 email but my contacts aren't listed. So, I see I need to add my contacts from Yahoo to the new People App but when I go into the People app, Yahoo isn't listed as an option to import from.

- My contacts in the Microsoft Account on the web (People.Live.Com) with Outlook Contacts, Windows Messages, Skype and LinkedIn-integration, works perfectly
- A Lumia 925 with Windows Phone 8.1 and full sync to my account which works fine (including LinkedIn)
- A MS 950XL With Windows Phone 10 and full sync to my account which works fine (without the LinkedIn-integration)
- a PC with Win 10 Prof. which also works fine with all contacts showing up in the "Contact" app on my PC (except the LinkedIn integration)
But then also a laptop with Win 10 home, setup in exactly the same way with the Outlook account, Skype etc. but where the contact sync worked initially BUT HAS NOW STOPPED WORKING!
If I add a new Outlook contact on any of my other devices it syncs with all but the laptop and the same is true for changes of contact data. Somehow the sync function of contacts to the laptop has stopped working!!
I have forced sync but no new contacts show up. The settings in the Contact App on my laptop is the same as on my other PC (same server, same setting on what to collect and how to sync my outlook account, ticking the same boxes on how to filter the contacts etc). I have uninstalled and reinstalled Skype, Messages + Skype-app etc. but cannot make it work. I cannot detect any other differences between the devices and all other things work great.
Got Win10Mobile on my Lumia 640XL today in India.
People Hub does not have my contacts from live.com account.
I can see my account in Email & Accounts, But there is no option to Sync contacts. Only email is present.
I have the release Windows 10. I have successfully linked my google account, and mail and calendar seem to work fine. But not the people (contacts) app. The account is listed in People, I can tell it to sync, get no error message, but no contacts arrive.
View 1 RepliesI still have Facebook contact information within my Windows 10 People but I'm not being allowed to delete them. I get told that I have to remove them from Facebook first but since we can no longer connect and sync contacts with Facebook, I can't do that either. I'm setting up a new desktop PC and I really want all of that irrelevant contact information to be gone.
View 2 RepliesI've just installed Windows 10 Build 10122 on my SP3 (finally) and I have a problem. The old people app seems not to be correctly installed and I'm not able to uninstall it...
And the new People app and Store (Beta) opens but crashes after a few seconds...
I have some HDDs connected through SATA in my PC and in one of them, I stored my files. Included that path in Indexing service, Windows can't show me the file I search.
Instead, if I search a file or a folder stored in my DropBox folder for example, (under C:usersEmanueleDropbox) the windows search show it immediately.
Some example.
If i want to search a file or folder stored in D:, windows search not show any file....
If i search a folder in indexed in C: all works fine.
I tried to rebuild index too many times.
I was trying to move files from my SSD (C:) to my HDD (D:). I unwittingly moved the location of the desktop file to D:, and now I can't separate the two, and all of my HDD files are shown on my desktop. How do I separate the two, and get the desktop file within D:, not as the D:. Is it even possible?
View 2 RepliesI have a two year old HP laptop that came with Windows 8 when I had bought it. It has been updated to Windows 8.1 and it has all the necessary updates it needs, yet the Windows notification has not shown up on my bottom right tool bar.
View 1 RepliesWhen ever I turn on my pc it shows this home screen, and if I access desktop by searching it a folder opens which contain desktop icon and even by pressing windows logo button it doesn't change to desktop but remains at that home screen. I am using different thing by Tab+Alt buttons.
Also you can see the task bar it has a strange view that was never before and see the bottom right corner it is strange! also by clicking the extreme bottom right corner I didn't reach the desktop. (Not even by pressing Windows logo+D button).
my Windows 10, which is after two or three days of my computer is running, when I right click on any taskbar shortcut, the list appears all black, like this (if I reboot, the problem goes away for a while, plese note the right click works perfectly on any other icon other than the taskbar):

When I try to search for specific applications that are installed (and visible) in the Start menu, Cortana (or Search) doesn't find anything. Just web results and settings are shown.
Any way to clear the Cache or reset the search indexing so that everything will be searchable again? Windows 10
Windows is only showing a black screen after boot no login screen only my mouse, but the mouse isn't working only an external one works. The keyboard isn't working too.
View 2 RepliesHow to remove shortcut arrows on Windows 10 desktops. I was able to hide the arrows. However, I got two updates. I installed them & restarted the system. After restarting I got these.
I ignored & finished my work & I saw that everything was normal. Sometime after explorer restarted and those black squares re-appeared! I've waited again but this time they didn't disappear.
It says "downloading windows 10"and i get the icon scrolling but then it just takes me to the windows update screen that shows me my current updates are up to date. I've tried this over a dozen times now, even going as far as disabling my windows firewall and ms essentials....still nothing. I've installed the updates that were optional as well as the required ones but it still will not launch. Downloaded the windows 10 update.exe from microsoft directly and it does the same thing as the one in the taskbar. What else should I do? Maybe it's a sign I just keep 7 (ultimate btw) for a much longer time.
View 1 RepliesWhen I upgraded to Windows 10 I set up the People App to list my contacts by syncing with my Outlook account. It worked great until this week. Now it attempts to sync followed by a message in red under the account saying attention required. When I attempt to open that account to edit the setting I get a dialog box with error code 0x008072ee2 that says "something went wrong". The only option is to close that window after which the account tries to sync again as the process repeats itself.
How can I delete this account and start over. I have remove the people app and reinstalled it and I have re-registered all of the apps with no success.

When you click to add the account it goes to the store and comes up with an error. How do we get this to work?

However, as usual I'm looking for a way to do this via registry.

Get the message that my Browser needs to be updated, click on the message and it tells me my Browser (IE10) is the latest version.
Am using IE instead of Edge due to many Malware instances using Edge... they are not there in IE10.
I have a contacts cvs file from my live mail 2012 but have not been able to import it to the People app.
