View 1 RepliesI have photo gallery installed with my windows 10, but according to my reserarch, there is also Windows Live Photo Gallery, which has more features.
All I can find is windows live essentials, but when i look at the programs it will install this is not shown...
Has MS renamed Windows Live Photo Gallery and just called it Photo gallery ?
Have a zillion photos to tag and if I use an MS product it will be tagged within the photo unlike Picasa so will be better for my purposes, unless there is an alternative which adopts the MS tagging...
All apps redirect me to the windows store stating that my trial period has expired and windows store simply wont open. i upgraded from windows 7....
View 1 RepliesI noticed a folder named" Windows.migrated" and I deleted in error thinking it wasn't necessary anymore. This was after i upgraded from windows 8 to 8.1 to 10. Unfortunately it caused ALL my store apps including the default ones to be deleted. I'm a bit lost of what to do now. I don't have a restore point to access.
View 3 RepliesI recently upgraded to 10 last week and I noticed that when I am clicking through my picture gallery, it stops at the last photo and doesn't restart from the beginning. In Windows 7 and every other version, you were able to loop through photo galleries.
This isn't a huge deal but I reference my photos a lot when I am doing work on my pc and it's kinda annoying to have to click out of the slide viewer and then scroll back up to the first photo in my folder in order to start over.
As the title says it all, ever since the upgrade, the current screensaver called the Photo Gallery stopped working, all my other screen savers work.
View 6 RepliesI cannot find a way to move photos from one of the automatically created albums to another existing album. There seems to be no way to tag them as there was in previous versions. Many of my photos are old family pictures scanned over a period of years. Being automatically placed in albums according to date makes finding them very difficult.
View 1 RepliesThe new Photos app in Windows 10 (while allowing a variety of editing functions), does not allow me to add a caption, i.e., update the Title attribute of a JPEG file. The old Windows Photo Gallery in Windows 7 was very useful in this regard, since I could update a number of the metadata (EXIF) fields.
How can I do this in Windows 10? Has Microsoft just removed this feature? Seems a retrogade step.
Why am I unable to download photo gallery from windows essentials to windows 10,tried several times but without success.
View 9 RepliesHow can I move photo's from photo gallery in Windows 7 to Photo's in Windows 10,
View 6 RepliesHow do I set a Windows 10 pc to see all drives, incl USBs? I'm on a new Dell laptop.
View 2 RepliesAfter a Windows 10 update, suddenly no Metro apps work at all besides Microsoft Edge. Not even the store. When I open any of them (besides Edge), it shows the splash screen for a second, then it closes. I also tried the PowerShell command that people have been throwing around here and that didn't work, either.
View 4 RepliesFollowing the November Update about six important apps such as People and Windows Store itself have failed. Their tiles have gone blank, they do not respond when clicked, nor do their entries in all apps -- if they are there. Store cannot be found anywhere and I cannot download / reinstall from the online Store.
I have used the Add-Appx Package command from within FixWin 10, and directly, in Windows Power Shell, without success.
(for some reason I cannot paste it here) .
However, Power Shell does report on each of the failed apps with a brief statement of why it cannot re-install / re-register them.
On Start menu, Photo Gallery (most used) came up and all photo albums, documents were in that folder. Now it's gone for some reason. How do I get the albums corralled into Photo Gallery again?
View 2 RepliesAll was well till 2 days ago, when I no longer had icons or Cortana. Tried to recover these using "powershell" Was only able to recover some icons, but not all. Can access some of my apps indirectly, but have lost many. Do not even have access to the app store anymore.
View 3 RepliesI just switched to the new mail app mostly because i want calendar, contacts and email shared across multiple computers and devices. Calendar and contacts seems to be shared fine but I have a cableone.net email and a gmail account. My new mail downloads fine but older mail and none of my folders in outside accounts show up. I have played with the sync settings...started at one week and moved out from there but old mail and folders do not download.
View 2 RepliesMy computer is crashing constantly, and its gotten to a point where its just very hard to use. It sometimes crashes 3 or 4 times a day, with crashes including blue screens, random restarts, complete power offs, and a combination of blue screen and mid blue screen it turns off. I've manually removed software, used malware scanners, cleared data, but nothing so far has worked.
My computer is the CyberPower GUA880, with the single modification of an NVIDIA GeForce GTX 750 Ti graphics card.
My most common BSOD is CLOCK_WATCHDOG_TIMEOUT
Even if I mark an album, say, 'my documents' as a "documents" type folder in my onedrive online settings, these photos will still be included in my 'photos' tab stream. that and, any photo ever that's on my PC will show up- not just photos in my "my photos" folder on my PC. it's really annoying, i'm getting gamesave pictures, wallpapers, screenshots, and all kinds of random crap that aren't supposed to be part of my camera roll stream all over my one drive... why is it doing this?
View 1 RepliesCan not seem to find where I can disable indexing. I use an app I have just for searching.
View 2 Replieshow to make windows as fast as possible :-)
View 7 RepliesI run cleanmgr /sageset:65535 & cleanmgr /sagerun:65535 and checked WindowsESD too
There is no more any folder called WindowsESD
Can I re-create it ?
Have upgraded from Win 7 to Win 10 a few times already and keep going back to Win 7 'cause it system slows down (start up and shutdown) after second reboot on Win 10.
It takes about 30 seconds to load on Win with all kinds of installed programs. Win 10 takes at least twice the amount and i have barely loaded anything yet.
is it possible to do a WEI (Windows Experience Idex) for windows 10?
View 2 RepliesToday I used a registry cleaner to fix my slow system, but instead of repairing it it made my PC stuck in user login bootloop, but they backed up the registry and I have it. So the question is, how can I import the registry in this non-booting PC?
I tried running RegEdit from CMD from Repair DVD, but "load hives" is greyed out!
My wife's Samsung laptop gets a failure whenever trying to do an image backup. Actually, this has been happening for quite a while - even before she installed Windows 10 when she had W7. I was hoping that the problem would go away with W10 but it hasn't. Backup runs almost to the end and then fails with the attached message. The message says to run dskchk on both her drive and on the backup drive which I did. No problems were found. (I backup my desktop on that drive all the time with no problems.) I tried backing it up on another external drive that also tests good but got the same error message.
View 9 RepliesI notice that after i run these commands in powershell or cmd:
sfc /scannow, DISM /Online /Cleanup-Image /RestoreHealth, Get-AppXPackage -AllUsers | Foreach {Add-AppxPackage -DisableDevelopmentMode -Register "$($_.InstallLocation)AppXManifest.xml"} .
and run sfc /scannow again, I always get this. It seems like my windows is always corrupted and I think that is causing my to get start menu, search menu, and task bar issues after stand by. What's wrong with my computer?
I have to do a clean install apparently, also the command broke my apps.
Get-AppxPackage -AllUsers| Foreach {Add-AppxPackage -DisableDevelopmentMode -Register $($_.InstallLocation)AppXManifest.xml}
