When I open a photo directly from the a folder in "Pictures". the left and right direction arrows do not display, so I cannot scroll through the rest of the pictures in the folder.
Not sure if you will understand my problem but I tried to search it everywhere but was not able to actually find the correct searching criteria so I was not able to fix my problem. My laptop has win 10 and it was always in English. All my windows used to have the menus (file, edit, view...etc.) on the left and the (X) to close the window on the right. for all my windows like control panel and my computer. But now they are reversed (X) on the left and menus are on the right.
After upgrade from windows 7 everything works properly. After o while it was not possible to open the START MENY by left click the windows 10 icon in the lower left corner. Right click works ok. What is the reason to that?
After a recent update or something, on the top right of all my photo's (no matter what folder), there is two large blue arrows, pointing at each other. I have tried clicking, and right-clicking and I can't find any use for them.

After a long struggle to import my pix from the camera to Win10 and finally succeeding, I've now another mystery
1. How to put the imported 10 or so photos into a folder? I did it with another bunch of imported photos and now I can't remember how I did it though I tried and tried..
2. How can I pick out the ones I want to send (and how to send them by email?) as I prefer not to delete the ones I won't send, to avoid later regrets. I don't even know how to delete any individual photos....
MS keeps everything a secret - no links to choose photos, or delete them, or send them, or change the order in which they are arranged, etc. I had come to learn photos in Win7 with "Photo Gallery" after a long time - now I'm condemned to the same torture on the new windows!
Using Win 10 single language home version. How do I remove the little shortcut arrows from the desktop icons? Tried the regedit tutorial creating new shell with file 29, but it just created little black boxes where the shortcut arrows were so I had to remove it.
I recently formatted my laptop and performed a fresh install of Windows 10. Everything was going well, until I noticed that when I have more than 4 icons in the Notification Area, I get scroll arrows to scroll left or right, instead of the Notification Area just resizing to accommodate more icons. It also adds space to the right of the time, which is weird. This happens regardless of how many applications I have open, even having nothing at all open. I've tried using small taskbar buttons, and changing all the taskbar settings I can find, but it does exactly the same.
This is how many icons I usually have:
When it works with 4 icons (plus Notification Icon):
And when I try add more than 4 icons - notice the scroll arrows on the left and right, plus blank space:
Even if I mark an album, say, 'my documents' as a "documents" type folder in my onedrive online settings, these photos will still be included in my 'photos' tab stream. that and, any photo ever that's on my PC will show up- not just photos in my "my photos" folder on my PC. it's really annoying, i'm getting gamesave pictures, wallpapers, screenshots, and all kinds of random crap that aren't supposed to be part of my camera roll stream all over my one drive... why is it doing this?
On my secondary hard drive I get these arrows on EVERY single file and folder, there's only one folder on the root of the hard drive that doesn't have it, but a few files in it have it, but those are in folders that also have it. At first I thought it might be because Compressed settings are switched on because that's the only difference between the system disk and his one.
After the upgrade, all my files , folders and shortcuts icons and thumbnails starts to have this blue connection arrow on the right upper corner. What does it means? And how to get rid of it?
How to remove shortcut arrows on Windows 10 desktops. I was able to hide the arrows. However, I got two updates. I installed them & restarted the system. After restarting I got these.
I ignored & finished my work & I saw that everything was normal. Sometime after explorer restarted and those black squares re-appeared! I've waited again but this time they didn't disappear.
My shortcuts all have a new double blue arrow overlay since upgrading to Windows 10565. None of my older fixes (reg edits, etc) seem to work getting rid of this new visual change.
I switched to Windows 10 a few weeks ago and have been trying to find a solution to a problem with the Windows Photo Viewer.
If I open a folder full of my photos, I am unable to advance to the next or previous pictures using the arrow keys on either side of the 'Play slide show' button, or the directional keys on my keyboard (as I was previously able to do in Windows 8). Windows Photo Viewer is set to be my default viewer for all extensions as well.
I just installed the BIG Windows 10 update (can't remember what it was called, 1511 or something) and so far it seems all right, except my desktop is a little different. One, my desktop background picture was removed and needs to be reset, no big deal, but all my Microsoft Word files open in Wordpad now (yes, I have a current license, just bought 2016 a few weeks ago--Excel comes up normal...) and the thumbnails have these mysterious blue arrows that point at each other in the corners. I think they might have something to do with file compression? But the arrows are also on some of my program icons in the taskbar, too.
When viewing photos stored on OneDrive in the Photos app for Windows 10, is it possible to save it to your PC? I can't seem to see an option to do so...
So I upgraded my Surface Pro 3 to Windows 10 last night and so far quite impressed. However it looks like an issue has carried over from Windows 8.1 to 10.
I'm finding that the Photos app cannot see the photos stored on my SD card. I have directed the library to point to the SD card and it is the only location defined in the Library for Photos. This was a problem in 8.1 but as I never used the app I stopped worrying about trying to sort it. However I can see myself using the app in 10, so would like to figure out what is happening.
It's not a case of the app not showing duplicates because I temporarily disabled the option for it to show OneDrive photos and now nothing shows.
my cd drive icon was showing and working then stopped showing up. I did as much research as I could and purchased AVG driver updater and it worked for a few days and won't work again.
So I'm currently running Windows 7 Home Premium on my desktop and have two other hard drives for storage. The SSD is only 32GBs (Before you say, "Well 32GB's is way to small for an SSD" I know. But it works and I still have 3-4GBs free.) and I'm going to make an attempt to upgrade it this summer to a Samsung 840 EVO but I may be delayed because I'll be on vacation most of the summer. So my question is, can I fit Windows 10 on it because you need at least 20GBs to upgrade. But is that overwriting Win7? Do I need to install Windows 10 on my storage drive then migrate it to the SSD?
where the left over files and/or folders are when you install a program after you've uninstalled, I am now using Revo but I am not convinced that all files are deleted before the use of Revo.
how in Windows 10 do you completely disable the Windows key on the left, far to many times in game have I accidentally hit this damned key and want it gone. I had a .reg file to do this but it was for Win7 and doesn't seem to work in Win 10.
Occasionally I'll type something in the comments on a forum I frequent, look up and the damn word is typed backwards
......... and Yes, I am a silly ol' bastid so I did think maybe I'd done it myself but............ this morning I was remarking on the forum about this very issue, so typed, "for instance, just this minute I typed Yep! and........"
I looked up at my screen and saw "....... dna !peY depyt I etunim siht tsuj ,ecnatsni rof"
