View 1 RepliesI'm not very happy with the media options in Windows 10, everything else seems better than Windows 7 except for that aspect. What I am trying to do is use the "Photos" app to select a folder of pictures I want, I then choose Slideshow but it goes through the pictures really fast lasting only a few seconds. I want to have it last more like 1-2 minutes per picture.
View 1 RepliesMy problem is with the Photos application that comes with Windows 10. When clicking on the slideshow button, the app plays through the pictures in the folder, though at some point through the slideshow (roughly 20-30 pictures in,) it loops right back to the picture where I started, even if there are other photos in the folder.
View 4 RepliesIs as title says. Looking for a way to make the slideshow feature shuffle my photos when I play them, as opposed to playing through them in the order they sit in the folder. Win 7 had this option, and It was easily accessible. I may be being an idiot and missing it in front of my face, but I cant find it.

After a long struggle to import my pix from the camera to Win10 and finally succeeding, I've now another mystery
1. How to put the imported 10 or so photos into a folder? I did it with another bunch of imported photos and now I can't remember how I did it though I tried and tried..
2. How can I pick out the ones I want to send (and how to send them by email?) as I prefer not to delete the ones I won't send, to avoid later regrets. I don't even know how to delete any individual photos....
MS keeps everything a secret - no links to choose photos, or delete them, or send them, or change the order in which they are arranged, etc. I had come to learn photos in Win7 with "Photo Gallery" after a long time - now I'm condemned to the same torture on the new windows!
Even if I mark an album, say, 'my documents' as a "documents" type folder in my onedrive online settings, these photos will still be included in my 'photos' tab stream. that and, any photo ever that's on my PC will show up- not just photos in my "my photos" folder on my PC. it's really annoying, i'm getting gamesave pictures, wallpapers, screenshots, and all kinds of random crap that aren't supposed to be part of my camera roll stream all over my one drive... why is it doing this?
View 1 RepliesWhen viewing photos stored on OneDrive in the Photos app for Windows 10, is it possible to save it to your PC? I can't seem to see an option to do so...
View 1 RepliesSo I upgraded my Surface Pro 3 to Windows 10 last night and so far quite impressed. However it looks like an issue has carried over from Windows 8.1 to 10.
I'm finding that the Photos app cannot see the photos stored on my SD card. I have directed the library to point to the SD card and it is the only location defined in the Library for Photos. This was a problem in 8.1 but as I never used the app I stopped worrying about trying to sort it. However I can see myself using the app in 10, so would like to figure out what is happening.
It's not a case of the app not showing duplicates because I temporarily disabled the option for it to show OneDrive photos and now nothing shows.
I take a lot of photos which I inevitably download and copy to a New Folder where I clicked onto the Slide Show option to initially view them. I attempted to do this with this misbegotten Windows 10 and could find no way to do that now or did I miss something?
View 4 Repliesin personalization, background, slideshow, you could go faster than 1 min. and you could shuffle the pictures in the folder in windows 8. cant do that in windows 10?
View 2 RepliesI have a background slideshow in operation, inherited from Windows 7 when I changed to Windows 10. I know how to personalise the background, but the slideshow does not work when I select a folder other than the one I inherited, even when there are suitable background pictures in the folder. Obviously, I could just put pictures for my background into the one folder which does work, but I would like to be able to select any picture folder, as should work.
View 7 RepliesOne of my 4 computer with a slideshow of pictures always gets changed to picture and then it is a BING-PICTURE.
All i need is the right setting in REGEDIT and maybe this can be fixed manually?
one of the 4 pc's with Windows 10 on it gives me problems with the slideshow.
Strange because on the other computers (no inside fast install) and mine it works perfect.
Everytime, at a given moment the slideshow restarts at best. On the other hand, it stops sometimes and i get the BING background.
This is trange, because on my pc it is the exact same file that is used.
Is there a way I can get it so my Windows background doesn't change every day or other time? I can only select 1 day for each time the slide changes at the very most. What I want is so when I right click and click "Next Desktop Background" (or whatever) it then and only then changes.
View 1 RepliesI have many folders with photos and want to run a slideshow of all of them but when I choose 'Pictures' Windows 10 will not show anything. I have to pick one folder. That folder will run nicely, but I would like to include ALL folders.
View 4 RepliesWhen I set my pc to show a slideshow on the lock screen after a few minutes of inactivity, it shows only one default picture instead of the pictures in the folder it is configured to use. If I look in the settings, there is some red text that says "You need more than one picture to show in your slideshow", even though there are eight pictures in the selected folder.
The "only show pictures that fit my screen" and "include camera roll folders" settings are off, and "when pc is inactive, show lock screen instead of turning off the screen" is on. I have DisplayFusion installed, but it is not set to control the screensaver.
I upgraded to 10 from 8.1. In 8.1 I had a slide show desktop background. That carried forward into 10 ( I still have the slideshow background). However, I cannot find where the images are located on the computer. Would like to modify but need to know where they are.
View 1 RepliesHave set up a slide show but wish these to be displayed randomly and for a shorter time then the 1 minute which is the shortest default time.
View 1 RepliesI use my own photos as my screensaver but my question is : is there a way to add music to the slideshow?
View 2 Repliesgot the slideshow to work on your lock screen yet, i have tried everything including deleteing a particular file in screen folder to making new files everywhere and still nothing, when i press WIN + L it works great but the minute i reboot my PC nothing the same picture i had stays there
View 2 RepliesLock screen slideshow won't work !
View 1 RepliesOddly enough it seemed to work before with the default picture set, but when I tried to set it to a folder in my OneDrive it doesn't switch over, and not even any other folder works. Slideshow lists two folders (pictures, OneDrive desktop) but they are both greyed out and unclickable.
View 3 RepliesI've been trying to make my desktop background be a slideshow of images rather than just 1 image. I want the images to change frequently, so I have it set to change every 1 minute.
However, after setting up the slideshow last night, the same image has remained my background for several hours, not changing once. I've double-checked the folder that is linked for the slideshow, and it does contain more than one image - in fact it contains 18 images.
I've attached a screenshot of the Background Settings screen. How can I get the slideshow to cycle through the images?
Heretofore on Windows 7, I was able to enjoy random slide show of all my pictures as background. Now, when I go to control panel personalization I'm asked for a picture 'album', which limits the variety of background pictures. Is there any way to set my controls to get the slide show of 'all' my pics?
View 8 RepliesThe slideshow app successfully changes the background on schedule, but I can't change the folder. No matter which folder of jpg pictures I select, it always returns "Not items match your search. If I change mode to a static picture for the background, the app DOES find several available jpg pictures in whatever folder I point toward. The slideshow part of the code is apparently looking for something other than jpg pictures. Is there a way to see/modify the code that runs the app?
View 1 RepliesI have set up my background to display slideshow. There appears to be no save button on this page. Every time I reboot the computer I find the slideshow has been changed back to "picture" mode.
