the spooling service for printing stops unexpectedly on windows 10
how to get it always started ?
My printers have stopped working and I get the message that Windows can't open Add Printer. The local print spooler service is not running. Please restart the spooler or restart the machine. I've restarted the machine several times with no solution. How can I restart the print spooler?
View 2 RepliesFor some reason, my printer doesn't show up in applications such as Microsoft Word or Libre Office, although I'm sure that it's connected properly to the computer because it still lets me scan documents. When I troubleshoot the printer, I get this error message: "The Print Spooler service isn't running".
View 6 RepliesThe print spooler chokes on both of my Windows 10 machines when trying to deal with certain pdf files. For instance when I tried to print [URL] ... via my browser (Chrome), it printed the first 6 pages, but the printer showed an error when it came to the seventh page. When I then tried to create another job just to print the seventh page, it just hung around in the print spool and nothing happened at the printer.
I tried this several times on two machines. It was also impossible either to cancel the job in the print queue manager or to stop the spooler in the services manager in order to manually clear the print queue, which meant that the only way I could clear the queue was to restart the machine. I got the same behaviour whether I was printing to my physical printer or to the MS pdf printer. I also got the same behaviour when I tried to print from a different browser (Edge). This is not the first time I have had a problem with an unprintable file like this in Windows 10.
I have cleaned up most of my errors but these four keep being produced at shutdown in the System log.
Event Id 7031 service terminated unexpectedly.

User Data Storage_Session1

What to do to stop them? OK, they don't seem to be doing any harm but it is nice to keep a tidy ship!
I got rid of a long list of DCOM errors relating to the Runtime Broker CLSID. That was satisfying!
The service is starting at boot up but then stops. I can manually start the service and it starts but then stops unexpectedly in less than a minute. Here is the event viewer log. may need to recover to Win8.1 as I need printers.
Update... I have 3 PC's (2 laptops, 1 HP & 1 Dell & 1 Dell Desktop). The Dell Desktop printers are working fine but the printer spooler service on both laptops starts and stops unexpectedly. Tried unchecking fast startup under Power and on one laptop tried LPD Print Service & LPR Port Monitor under turn Windows features on under Control Panel Programs & Features..
The Windows Image Acquisition (WIA) service terminated unexpectedly. It has done this 1 time(s).
That's the Event Viewer error message at every reboot (appears to occur during the shutdown phase).
There is a concurrent fault listed for the Canon scanner driver, CNC210C.DLL, which is not corrupted.
I'm stuck with my print spooler that doesn't want to start. It was working fine before the upgrade. I get the following message when going to the "view services on local computer" Windows could not start the Print Spooler service on Local Computer. Error 0x80070057: The parameter is incorrect.
I get the following message in the event viewer: The Print Spooler service terminated with the following error: One or more arguments are invalid

I have checked the following registry entry as described in [FIX] Windows Could Not Start The Print Spooler Service. This didn't work. How to make the print spooler service work?
I have been having an issue where either playing a game or just watching youtube sound just stops and I have to restart the service and then it works again. It doesn't say its not running or that is crashed it just stops working but still "runs"?
My System:
MB: msi Z97 G43 gaming
CPU: i7 4790 @ 3.6
RAM: 16gb 1600mhz
GPU: GTX 980 ti CLASSIFIED
PSU: Corsair 750w
HDD: 1tb WD
HDD: 2tb Seagate
I have 2 machines connected via a switch. They both have shared folders. They both run a piece of software. One machine acts as a master the other connects to it for data.
The issue is that the "Server" service is randomly stopping on the master and none of the shares work. The software on the second machine is crashing because it can't see the shares on the master. Windows explorer can't see the shares either.
Once this service has been started the software works fine. I have set the service recovery to restart on all failures but this hasn't resolved the issue. Why this stops or how to rectify the problem?
Lately my PC has been shutting down out of the blue, in about 5 seconds at that. Also, upon turning it back on it starts up real slowly. This generally happens when playing games, however if I'm on the computer that's what I'm doing so not sure if that's a good assumption. No viruses, according to AVG at least. When I look at shutdowns in event viewer it doesn't say much more than it shut down due to error.
/e I'm running windows 10 on an HP Envy with i7 Processor and 12 gb ram. Also, of 5 Hardware monitoring programs, not a single one will report any 5v or 12v readings for my motherboard. Is my power supply bad, or are none of these compatible enough to test it?
I do really need to fix my computer. I was installing windows 10 on my computer then the power got cut and now I just get the following message when my computer boots up: The computer restarted unexpectedly or encountered an unexpected error. Windows installation cannot proceed. To install Windows, click ok to restart the computer, and then restart the installation.
I have tried to restart the computer alot of times but I get the same message everytime I start my computer.
While I was playing ZDoom 2.7.1, my computer randomly restarts unexpectedly in January 14 and yesterday by Event 41 Kernel-Power.
View 7 Repliesthere doesn't seem to be a way to print a standard 6x4 photo using the Windows print function for pictures. how to do this as it was possible on earlier versions of Windows.
View 3 RepliesI was trying to add a printer and I had the message that the printer spooler don't work! I tried 3 different ways manually via command prompt and via windows devices system and force start automatically but nothing. it cant start. Some messages i got trying to fix it it was there are no resources for this operation!
View 1 RepliesI was using Windows 8.1 and after upgrading to 10 I get regular freezes and the computer just stops sometimes. I think this is normally just after booting up. Do I need to wait five minutes for it to get going before I try and do anything?! This is not normal, my PC was fast and responsive before the upgrade.
View 4 RepliesThis update "Säkerhetsuppdatering för Internet Explorer Flash Player i Windows 10 Version 1511 för x64-baserade datorer (KB3119147)" (Swedish !!! but I bet You can guess my problem )stops att 95% when downloading. Have waited for hours.I have restarted several times but no diff result.
View 2 RepliesIt all started when I installed Windows 10 on release day. (I was using windows 7 before). I downloaded mumble and then all my games and started playing with friends. After a while I noticed that my friends weren't responding to me I alt tabbed and realized my push to talk wasn't working (this goes for every voice program, the same thing happens the push to talk key stops working). In my Recording options the mic isn't disabled. When I go into recording devices after it stops working when I speak I do not see any green bars, when I go to steams voice test and nada, no green bars. To fix it I either go into Mumble settings and just hit 'apply' or I open up the mumble audio wizard and close it right away and my mic will work again along with push to talk. For some reason this makes my mic work again.
I've tried a fresh install of windows 10, I've tried different mics, different sound cards and the same thing keeps happening. Before I reformatted it got so bad it was happening every 2 minutes. Now it happens every couple of hours and progressively happening more often. To me it seems something is disabling my mic and doesn't re-enable it.
SFC stops at 22% and cannot complete.
DISM returns "The specified buffer contains ill-formed data."
RESOLVED via a Windows 10 refresh second attempt that succeeded after the first would not allow files to be retained.
After again creating an ISO file, the second install resulted in retained files and no SFC errors.
It has been a few days that, everytime i go to sleep or afk, the time stops and I have to set it back when I'm back !
For instance, yesterday i left at 0:12am and today the time was stuck at 00:50 or something like that. So what I did is go to time settings to uncheck then check again the "set automatically" button.
I don't know what to do, I already tried to completely reset my pc but it didn't change anything to that problem ..
So far I have enjoyed my new win 10. This morning the boot stops on the intro screen. this is where you touch any key & it goes on to the log on. No key works. I tried another keyboard & that didn't work.
View 2 RepliesBeen happening alot lately I can't open my start menu it just stops working. Only a restart or log off works.
View 7 RepliesI have upgrade to windows 10 everthing works fine. But when i have updates the always donwnloading and stops around 81 % so the updates fails.
View 1 RepliesI followed steps for installation on SSD with UEFI Everything went well until the first restart after installation files reached 100% When screen came back it was back to original Install now screen.
I had disabled secure boot in firmware as suggested. SSD is the only drive attached at present. Should I attempt a reinstallation or are there other steps I should pursue first.
