So I recently downgraded from Win10 to 7 and after everything finished, I can't type in my password or move my mouse! I tried replugging the USBs to no avail and I restarted and booted my pc in safe mode And now I'm stuck on the lock screen in safe mode. How do I fix this?
View 1 RepliesSince today morning I am not able to login to my Win10 PC. It starts normal until the lock Screen appears. The clock in the lock Screen is working, so everything seems to be ok. But the System does not react on any keyboard or mouse Input.
The Keyboard is working perfectly in the BOOT Menue (after F2 during Startup). So I am quite sure that this is not a hardware problem.
I got windows 10 installed no problems last week and all was going fine until yesterday. I couldn't get into the store and a couple of apps didn't run. I tried everything to reset the store app and everything so last resort I went for a reset. And its all grand reset no problem, completed everything and reset but now I'm stuck at the lock screen. Obviously the driver's for the mouse ain't installed now because I can't slide the lock screen up to enter the login. what do I do now?
View 2 RepliesYesterday my start menu suddenly stopped working. In it's place I had a little white house icon on the task bar. I finally figured out that that was a Lenovo product called Pokki that was apparently designed to replace the missing start menu in Windows 8. I deleted it and rebooted but my start menu still doesn't work. Then I noticed that my C drive is now called "Windows 8_OS (C". Is it possible that somehow I've reverted to Windows 8 and that's why everything is messed up? I certainly did not do this deliberately. The only other thing is that I noticed that before all this started that the Comodo firewall I had been using was gone. I thought it maybe happened when I installed Windows 10 (which had been working fine for several months, BTW) - I reinstalled Comodo but then uninstalled again thinking that might be the problem. (It wasn't.)
My start menu did freeze up once before - I fixed it by deleting explorer.exe and then putting it in again as advised when I googled it. This time, I don't even have explorer.exe in my task manager.
I use left handed mouse, and swapping left / buttons works OK. I also set the wheel button to be "double click". But the wheel button brings up the context menu instead of double click. If I change to right hand mouse, the wheel button gives double click as expected. how to make the wheel button give double click for left hand mouse?
View 5 RepliesI am currently up to date with all updates for my legal copy of windows 10 pro, I have choosen the windows spotlight feature for my lock screen, however it never activates, I still just get the microsoft glowing blue window screen, any thoughts?
also right below the options for lock screen are options to choose apps for detailed status and apps for quick status, I have also never seen these work anywhere
My PC was working fine until today. Now when I boot up the lights on my razor keyboard illuminate but when it gets past the bios the lights turn off.
When the login screen for w10 comes up I can't login because both the keyboard and mouse are not responding.
They work fine in the bios. I am using a custom built PC (a88x-gamer MOBO) and a corsair m65 mouse with a razer black window 2015 keyboard and running Windows 10.
After I installed Windows 10 from windows 7 I couldn't use my mouse and keyboard it works when I boot up BIOS Utility but when im on windows 10 it does not work. I tried switching usb ports and that didn't work either.

I sometimes connect to my Windows 10 PC at my work place from home.
When I was using Windows-7(work place PC), I was able to select the menu button (lower-left) and select 'Lock Screen' menu from the shutdown sub-menu. I recently received a new desktop PC which is Windows-10, but I found Windowns 10 doesn't have such 'lock-screen' menu that I can choose with my mouse. So the only way I can lock the screen is using Window-L button which is ok when I'm at work. But when I'm remotely logged in from my home, if I press Window-L keys, my home notebook is screen locked, not my work place Desktop.
So i had this virus that was keep sending and redirecting to websites like - get money from this etc. So I wanted to uninstall but i uninstalled something VCI controller driver and now my keyboard, mouse are not working, I am on windows 7. I tried to put disk and try repair but it gave me an error...

Looks like there's an error with the Broadcom Bluetooth USB driver, which is already the latest and greatest according to Windows, which obviously it ain't. Where to get working drivers? Surprisingly there's nothing about Windows 10 on Broadcom's site??
View 1 RepliesMy mouse and keyboard were doing fine with Windows 7, but after I upgraded to Windows 10, my wired mouse and keyboard have been prone to just randomly stop working for a few seconds before working again. When it happens to my keyboard, what key I had been pressing would be typing over and over again, while my mouse is stuck in place (screen is not frozen, videos keep playing, etc). In addition with the windows 10 upgrade, I also got a new graphics card at the same time, but I don't think a graphics/video card could be responsible for this kind of thing, right?

I have no viruses/malware, and when I go to the devices manager and try to update the "HID-Compliant Mouse" driver online, it seems like it's the recent driver. Same for the keyboard. Therefore, I'm leaning to the Windows 10 to be the culprit, but I'm not too sure.
Yesterday I set my Bulgarian keyboard layout to be the default one and my German to be the secondary. Then I shut down and today when I tried to log in, only the Bulgarian layout was enabled (Cyrillic letters) and I can't switch to the German layout (Latin letters). You guessed it - my password uses Latin chars . The key combinations Alt+Shift or Win+Space are not working.
Password reset works only with pre-made passdisk or something like that (I haven't set one). I tried going to Troubleshoot mode, but couldn't find anything useful there yet. Running the command prompt troubleshooting option gave me the opportunity to change the keyboard layout, enter my password and use the cmd prompt. There I tried to use the "control" command to set the keyboard layouts but it doesn't recognise the "control" command. Maybe I have to navigate somewhere else (default was system32).
I have been getting random BSODs, sometimes they happened 3-4 times a day and sometimes I will not have one for 3-4 days. Also sometimes my computer will just freeze, mouse cursor and keyboard not working and I have to hard boot. Also some times when it freezes, a stutter/buzzing noise is head through my headphones. Came back and my computer was trying to rapair itself... said could not reboot windows is checking for a solution.. I let it go.. it said no solution found. And just turned off..So I restarted spammed f8. Tried to start in safemode.
Got to password screen and mouse and keyboard won't work...So I restart, spam f8 again. I select repair windows this time, cancel the repair process then clicm.advanced options. Try to look at restore points... and it says none exist... that is bs. I did restore points twice a week. when. I try to start normally it loads her goes to a blue screen with tons of writing and letters and errorrs but no time to read any...

View 1 RepliesI just recently updated. I then created a boot disk and performed a clean install. I use a Razor Black Widow Ultimate keyboard and a Logitech G9x laser mouse. I can reboot, I can shut down and restart and everything seems to work fine. But, after leaving the pc off all night and start in the morning I have no mouse or keyboard. This has happened Saturday morning, Sunday morning and yet again today. Fortunately, I have Acronis backup of my install, so when this happens I just re-image the hard drive and start searching for solutions again.
I have the latest Logitech mouse drivers and running Razor Synapse for keyboard software.
The latest thing I have done is disable fast boot but have not had it shut down long enough to see if it fixes the issue.
Recently I upgraded from Windows 8.1 to Windows 10 however this caused several issues with my laptop so I reversed the upgrade back to 8.1. My Kaspersky AntiVirus would then not work leaving just a blank logo on my desktop. I tried to uninstall kaspersky using the uninstall programme available on their website but upon restart I can no longer get past the login screen as I can't use my keyboard or mouse to enter my password. I can enter a screen that allows me to select safe mode but again I can't enter my password. I have a Dell restore USB but this will not work. I have tried USB mouse and keyboard but no luck either. I cannot preform a restore at all.
View 1 RepliesI have followed several similar threads and their fixes for this problem with no result. After downloading the Win 10 upgrade, my system then said "loading updates". Then it restarted with a blue login screen saying "Welcome Back!" And a box to enter my password. The cursor is blinking in the box, but neither my mouse or keyboard works.
I have hard booted several times since the ctrl+alt+delete does not work. I am also not able to access safe mode as none of the "F" keys work during boot up.
I have tried the following:
1. Unplugged all USB devices except keyboard.
2. Turning off internet at the router.
I have a Dell desktop, and upgraded from Windows 7, with a Netgear router/modem. The only way I can get the system to move is if I power off at the main switch after booting up which goes into bios and disc diagnostics, but I don't know enough about computers to know what to do there!
Installed Windows 10 on HP Pavillion p7-1262 about 2 weeks ago. Worked fine up until last Friday, screen went black, no keyboard entry, no mouse cursor. Can't enter BIOS. Whats wrong?
View 3 RepliesTried using DDU and it asked to enter safe mode, went to safe mode, it then said "insert bootable media" and I tried to select it from BIOS but I could never get to BIOS because my mouse and keyboard controls were dead. Nothing I've done (plugging, unplugging) has fixed this issue. How to fix this.
