Feb 10, 2016I upgraded my win 7 to 10 like a month ago, and since then I have a strange problems on my (desktop) computer.
Firstly I noticed the problem with user accounts: I have 3 user accounts, and from time to time everything disappear from my desktop (icons and stuff) and seems like just rebooting works. Then I noticed that I can't view any images, as windows default "Photos" app suddenly stopped working, so my primary photo view app is automatically changed to "TWINUI" - whatever that is. And I can't change it, as the only option I can see is paint o.0 Then I wanted to go to store and see if I can get some other app for this, but now I can't even enter the store - it just doesn't responding at all, no errors, no nothing.
I have a latest win 10 build - and I'm updating it regularly .
Right Click On Desktop And Click On Personalize Or Display Settings
Aug 2, 2015I just upgraded to windows 10 and when I right click on the desktop and click on "Personalize" or "Display Settings" I get the following error message:"This file does not have a program associated with it for performing this action, please install a program or, if one is already installed, create an association in the default programs control panel".

Aug 30, 2015Some files get backed up by File History but not Desktop or files on Desktop. I have excluded Videos, Documents, Music and Pictures as I do not want these backed up with File History.
I have turned off File History and turned it back on again, reselected the backup drive F: and selected the only folder in File History...
However, Desktop is in my user profile...
What have I done incorrectly or not done correctly?
No Shortcut Option On Right Click Desktop
Aug 10, 2015I have upgraded Windows 7 to Windows 10. When right clicking the desktop I only get the option under the "New" menu to crate a folder, no shortcut.

2. Taskbar icons have vanished (got them back as right-click works on taskbar)
3. Cannot minimise window (browser, Outlook etc)
Is this an 'update' or have I carelessly altered something?
Mouse Click Switches To Desktop
Dec 29, 2015On certain games that I mainly use a controller with the mouse is switching to desktop when i click the left mouse button. It does it across multiple mice and multiple monitor setups. This issue just started recently and hadn't been a problem before. What could be causing the mouse click to act like it's clicking the desktop? I think that might be the issue.

Aug 13, 2015I have a strange problem where my PC would idle and take a long time for the Contextual Menu to show up when I Right Click on a blank space on the Desktop. It literally take about 10 - 15 seconds for the Menu to show up.
After that it is fast again. Then after awhile it does it again. I don't know what the problem is. I try to do a Clean install of Windows 10 Pro. Wipe everything clean and install it on a 256GB Samsung Pro SSD, and it still does it. There is barely anything on the Contextual Menu so I don't know what the problem is.
Here is my PC Spec.

256GB SSD Drive

File Explorer / Desktop Not Responding On Right Click
Oct 20, 2015So I'm having a neat issue with Windows 10 that involves my desktop/file explorer to stop working on a right click. So pretty much what is happening is whenever I click an icon on my desktop (except for the recycle bin) I get the loading circle and then if you click somewhere or open a program and then go back to the desktop it will flash whatever color you have set as the theme color (for me a blue and it did the same when it was red) and then go back to the desktop and all icons are moved back to their very original positioning (right under each other).
Then for the file explorer (I think it would still be called file explorer when in a folder) when you have a folder open and you try to right click something in the folder it does the same and says the folder is not responding and will close it. Now if you have a folder open and you do the right click on the a desktop icon and it does the refresh thing it will also close any folders you have open. Not programs, just folders and if I have music playing or anything it doesn't skip or pause that either.
As for what I've tried there was a video on Youtube that had you go into the Shellex folder in RegEdit and delete some folders but that didn't fix anything. I also tried downloading ShellExView and disabling all 3rd party context menu editors (There were only two, Avast! and WinRar) and that changed nothing as well.
As for my actual PC I have:
GPU: GTX 980ti
CPU: i7-4790k
OS: Windows 10
I've had this issue for a while now because I assumed it was just a Windows 10 bug and would get fixed but it hasn't yet so now it's just annoying. I'm not sure if I even installed something right before it started happening because it had to be about a month ago if not more. I really don't want to have to do a clean install because I have TERRIBLE internet and it would take over a week of straight downloading to get all my games and what not downloaded again.
I should probably also add that I have a Corsair K70 RGB Keyboard and the lighting resets to the basic rainbow setting when it freezes. But I haven't tried uninstalling that or anything.

Aug 25, 2015Even when using disk cleanup in admin account it will say deleted but after restarting and going back into disk cleanup they are back.Even using Windows app they come back after deletion.On another note system restore doesn't seem to work , i did a system restore and even though i got the message that system restore completed successfully after i rebooted my screen was frozen and i had to do a system refresh to get it up and running again.I have been waiting for it to delete my temp files for 8 minutes already.

Customization :: Desktop Screen Is Black And Right Click Does Not Work
Oct 7, 2015I used to see icons on my desktop and today, they disappear altogether. There is a side bar you work with and I don't feel comfortable.
The screen is black and if I right click on screen, it does not work and nothing is coming up to chose. When changing screens, I see glimpse of icons on the desktop momentarily.
So, my true desktop screen seems to be covered by this new black screen with left side bar.
Calendar Not Showing On Desktop When Click Date And Time?
Sep 22, 2015I suddenly have no desktop calendar showing when I click on the time and date in the taskbar. There used to be a huge rectangluar thing with a calendar there, but now nothing.

Sep 17, 2015after been using Windows 10 since launch I've got annoyed by those silly things whenever I click start menu for longer than like 2 or 3 minutes. When it happens, the windows desktop flickers to black. I uninstalled the drivers and used the microsoft generic drivers and it does the same thing. Of course, when I go to safe mode and I can't use the start menu as it just opens and closes in less than the second on its own. Because of this I've been researching this through Google and it somehow all of that kinda doesn't seem to relate to that. Also, I get the error message when I shut down and I couldn't get to see the error message because windows shuts all that stuff down.

Apps :: File Explorer Crashes After Right Click In Desktop
Aug 5, 2015Whenever I right-click a file anywhere on the Desktop, the File Explorer crashes briefly and then comes right back up. This does not happen anywhere else, only on the Desktop.
I tried going to "HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT/*/shellex/ContextMenuHandlers" with RegEdit and removing some of them, but to no avail.

Every time I click to run as normal or as admin . nothing happens and the file disappears. tried running it from cmd (admin) and windows says it can find the path. I have it stored in folder on dtop. Left Click Start Menu Makes Desktop Icon Disappear
Feb 10, 2016A customer brought me a machine with an issue I have never seen before. All desktop icons were gone and the only thing on the desktop is 3 lines in the upper left (opens an empty start menu), 3 lines in the lower left (opens all programs list) and the power button above that. I have managed to bring the desktop icons back but when I click the start menu it switches from the desktop with icons to the above mentioned screen with no icons. When it is on this new screen you can't right click on anything. A new user works as it should.
