Screenshot Not Working - Inspiron 3000 Series
Sep 11, 2015
I searched how to screenshot, and found the "alt + prntscr" method. I managed to take one screenshot. Every time I try now nothing happens. I have also tried just pressing prntscr.

When I select "Camera" I get a white box, with one word printed in the upper left hand corner,"Camera". This appears for two seconds and then I am back to my desktop picture.

I own a Dell Inspiron N5547, updated from W8.1 to W10 Pro a few days back. The Dell Touchpad came installed with the upgrade, and for the first 2 days, all the gestures were working perfectly. On the third day, the three finger scroll up (for task view) stopped working and invokes Cortana instead. I went on the Dell Touchpad program and tried to untick the three finger tap for Cortana, but to no avail. Its really annoying, I tried to restart my latpop but faced the same problem.
I tried to search for solutions, one included uninstalling the Dell Touchpad from Programs and Features, then downloading the latest version from the Dell website. I did so, and installed it again, and once again for the first day the three finger scroll was working perfectly, but when I woke up the next morning, it started invoking Cortana again.

I have been using this version of windows 10 from last 1 month. I installed all the drivers and everything was working just fine. From last few days my wifi driver isn't responding. I tried reinstalling the driver but the problem still exists.
I can connect through the Ethernet cable and the Bluetooth driver is also working. Only the wifi driver has stopped.
My laptop is Dell inspiron 5520

Actually none of our old printers will print anymore...have tried with W10, W7 and WXP. Currently trying to get a Canon BJC-3000 to print off a W10(just upgraded from W7) - nothing. I'm told this may be due to the older printers are no longer supported on new OS's. Is that true or can I do something about it?

I was given a MBA a few months ago and installed Windows 10 on it. I am however wondering if there is a shortcut to take a screenshot using the keyboard since there is no print screen key. I am aware of the snipping tool but I was wondering if there was anything quicker than that.

I have been running windows 10 for a week or so with no trouble until yesterday. I use DriverToolkit to keep all my drivers up-to-date and installed properly. I ran a scan yesterday morning and it fixed 13 drivers with no error at the time. Shortly thereafter I received 4 BSODs each about two hours apart (and another one this morning) and when I click shut down I get to the shutting down screen and the circle of dots just spins forever -- never shuts down -- until I pull the plug.
The BSODs were the following (in this order):
IRQL_NOT_LESS_OR_EQUAL
KERNEL_SECURITY_CHECK_FAILURE
PAGE_FAULT_IN_NON_PAGED_AREA
SYSTEM_SERVICE_EXCEPTION
CRITICAL_STRUCTURE_CORRUPTION (this was this morning)
CPU: Intel 4790K (no OC)
MOBO: ASUS Z97-AR
RAM: 8gb DDR3 (2x4gb) - I think it's Patroit
Graphics: EVGA 8400GS
HDD: 2x 1TB in RAID0 (Intel RST)

I have a VAIO F Series VPCF217HG that I just upgraded to Windows 10 a few days ago. So far everything worked fine except one problem.
I have a perfect internet collection, as in I am still able to go on to websites and download/upload stuffs, but every time I try to use any of the Microsoft features, it keeps saying that I don;t have an internet connection. I cannot use Cortana or Windows update and a lot of other features. I tried to use the ""Use SSL 2.0""Use SSL 3.0""Use TSL 1.0""Use TSL 1.1""Use TSL 1.2"" fix but it did't work.
I thought it was because of my outdated Mcafee, so I uninstalled it but the problem still persists afterwards.

After a series of updates, one of which must have been at issue, ALL of my conversion software applications now fail to /convert/ any files. The programs load properly but that is followed by various issues depending on the app.
Tipard will load, load video files, and start to convert... but immediately fail upon starting the conversion process.
Handbrake will load, but locks up on loading a file, any file, regardless of length, at the 20% mark.
MakeMKV won't load at all.
VLC randomly crashes, or refuses to play videos, music, or anything, after an undetermined amount of time.
My FTP software no longer loads its settings files and scripts.
And an annoyance, all of a sudden all my icons have little green check marks on them.
Windows 10 Professional x64
Version 1511
Build 10586.63
AMD FX 9590 X8 4.7
32 GB ram
Tipard Blu-Ray Converter Version 7.3.30. No message just an icon notice. See photo
handbrake 0.10.3.0 x64: Preset Export Failed. Unable to load in Presets. Please restart HandBrake No additional exception information available : upon startup. Added files freeze program at 20% mark
MakeMKV (What version, won't load at all)
Paint won't save any files anymore. See same photo

I'm using Win10 x64 and Intel 520 240GB SSD:
For my mobo, Asus P8Z77-V-Deluxe, I downloaded the official asus chipset drivers.
There is one for Win8.1 x64 and a Beta version for Win10.
The chipset driver for Win8.1 has installed the following:
1. under Device Manager> IDE ATA/ATAPI controller > Inter 7 series/C216 chipset Family SATA AHCI Controller
2. Version 12.8.0.1016 - Date 2013/08/01
If I install the Asus Win10 chipset driver, then instead of the Inel SATA controller, I'll end up having Standard SATA controller by Microsoft.
I'm currently using the Asus beta Win10 chipset driver, however I manually installed the Intel SATA controller which is officially supported on Win8.1 and is digitally signed.
I ran two SSD benchmark test with AS SSD (latest version).
With just the official Win8.1 chipset driver as mentioned above, I'm getting the following results:
With the Win10 beta chipset driver and the Standard SATA controller by Microsoft:
And here are the test results made by Intel SSD 520 Series Solid State Drive | Intel,SSD,520 Series,Solid State Drive,SSDSC2CW240A3,Benchmarks,Performance,Reviews,Olin Coles,Intel SSD 520 Series Solid State Drive SSDSC2CW240A3 Benchmark Performance Review by Olin Coles
Can spot the difference?

I've got a notebook Pavilion DV6-3152SL with hardware AMD Phenom(tm) II N620 Dual-Core 64 bit, bios F29.
After upgrading from Windows 7 HP to Windows 10, I've got a big problem with the AMD graphic drivers, which are both now version 15.200.1062.1004. ATI Mobility Radeon HD 4200 Series seems to work fine, while AMD Mobility Radeon HD 5000 Series stopped working of an error code 43 and I'm unable to fix it. I've already tried these chances, but no one of them has succeded to solve the problem of my AMD Mobility Radeon HD 5000 Series:
- Updating the driver from the AMD website both installing it manually and utilizing AMD Catalyst Istall Manager;
- Withdrawing the HD 5000 to let Windows Update installing a new one;
- Updating through the software HP Support Assistant.
... But I can't fix it: driver update for AMD Mobility Radeon HD 5000 Series is impossible. And, in any case the configuration goes lost at reboot and my notebook goes on saying "No AMD graphics driver is installed, or the AMD driver is not functioning properly.

I had been under the impression that if you had a PC with UEFI (instead of the legacy BIOS), you couldn't boot from a CD or DVD drive. Having just gotten my first PC with UEFI, I was delighted to find this Dell article on how to do it here:
[URL]
I followed that procedure on my new Dell Inspiron 15 5559 laptop, and booted Linux Mint successfully from the DVD I have it on. One of the considerations is that you have to disable "secure boot". Not ever having had that before, I didn't hesitate to do that. I imagine that would be a handy feature if you were worried about boot sector viruses, but I've never seen but one instance of one in 35 years of working with PCs, and that was on a neighbor's PC. I also noticed that booting was considerably faster.

I've just done a clean install of W10 on my Dell Inspiron 7537 laptop. I turned off the laptop last night when the battery was about half discharged.
I tried turning on the laptop today after it had been off 18 hours and it was completely dead - there was no response to the power on button and no charging light despite the charger outputting the correct voltage.
I read online about removing the battery so I did this. I removed the battery, pressed the power button for 60s then plugged in the power lead and hey presto the laptop started! I then put the battery back in and started W10 fine. The battery showed 56% charge so the battery wasn't flat.
I can only think there was a poor battery connection which prevented the laptop starting and removing and replacing the battery cured this.

As the title says how exactly do you achieve this?
I have an ISO Ran RUFUS 2.6
GPT Partition Scheme for UEFI
Fat 32
8192 Default
X Quick Format
X Create a bootable disk using
X Create Extended label and Icon Files
so the next part is the Kicker Dell did a number on their Bios and rather than using standard logic as we have done so many years just setting the boot order to "Boot USB" first, you "Only" have the option to create a "Boot Program"!!! so you select your USB Drive then which ever file you want it to boot I'm Assuming? So I tried selecting Setup, bootmgr.efi, and autorun with no results!
I get the secured boot error crap, turn that off and I get Legacy BIOS (that defeats the entire point) What the hell happened to Win95 Boot Discs and FDISK?
I am so frustrated with this garbage, I found out the hard way with Windows 10 and trying to nuke the SSD and put a clean install of 8.1 on it.

I have a Inspiron N5010 with built in Bluetooth (DW365). When I upgraded to Win 10 It no longer works. It does not show up in device manager or anywhere else.
I have found where some people have used a driver ( Broadcom 4.0 ) and had good results. When I try to install the driver It tells me to uninstall the old one. How to uninstall it when it does not show up anywhere on my computer?

I've had my Inspiron N4110 laptop for a while now and it seems it might finally be kicking the bucket. It works fine for a while and then it just starts flashing rainbow colors on the external screen I have it hooked into and static horizontal lines on the main display. This happens maybe once or twice every week. The fan kicks into high gear and I can't do anything, so I have to restart it. After the restart, it is usually extremely slow and cannot operate for the most part. In its most recent episode, it has worked pretty good. Before its most recent episode, I was able to figure out a few things. (its running windows 10 btw)
Using CrystalDiskInfo, I was able to figure out that the hard drive is okay
I used Auslogics Disk Defrag Professional to see if it was fragmented, but its only at 2%
I used the command prompt and ran sfc /scannow to determine that there are no system file errors
I used Auslogics BoostSpeed 8 to do a registry cleaning, and its fine.
Right before its latest episode, I removed a USB without doing the safe extract thing, but I doubt hitting that would have worked. This was happening before I upgraded to windows 10, but it has been happening more frequently lately. I'm running a virus scan with Malwarebytes and will post the results soon. I have not been able to determine a cause for this. I took a video of the problem ....
